Lately I've noticed a trend that is a bit disturbing. People call us requesting quotes on trips. We'll log on to our supplier's sites and get the info. Seems like almost every time we go back and look at the trip we quoted the price has increased. My question is could the supplier know what we've looked at before and raise the price when it sees us looking again? Please don't dent the planet. Destinations by Roxanne

It's plainly obvious to me that the driver has had this kind of issue at this crossing before. Hence the camera and being well versed in his rights. I thiink because it's not the first time this has happened to him. He is being singled out for whatever reason (I have my suspicion he's been a dick on previous occasions). I didn't see him do or say anything on this pass that would have alerted the officials but WTF do I know. This pass was just a pissing contest between the officials and the driver. Excellent topic! I think it's more a lack of economic pressure than evolutionary. We've gotten used to living a life our grandparents could never have imagined. We're soft and we're selfish. We're at war and yet daily life goes on. No impact at all really. We've grown accustomed to having our wars fought by others. 9/11 was a jolt and we woke up for a couple of years but now we're pleasantly back asleep. I think it should be mandatory to video record ALL interactions with the police in this country. Maybe that would keep them a little bit honest. Let me suggest that anybody in this thread who didn't know what the term "beaner" meant, really has given up their authority in talking about hispanic illegal immigrants in the US. Seriously. While the term is bigoted, it's also extremely common and is used both in and out of the hispanic community. Lack of that knowledge is a clear demonstration of a person's unfamiliarity and exposure to that community whether positive or negative. Crap. Over here, it's unknown. I had to check out in the internet. I think it's funny when people are offended by the term 'beaner'...or 'towelhead'. I truly believe they have problems heaped on them by a society that places an extreme amount of value on beauty. One needn't look further than the kiddie beauty pagents, ads aimed at young girls, and the music and film industry. Take a good long look at the next Victoria's Secret (I always do) or the covergirls on the magazines in the checkout line and you'll see where the problem begins.
