    Revisionist history. Clinton pressured Fannie and Freddie to lower their underwriting standards in the 90's. Bush warned congress that Fannie and Freddie were potential problems in 2001. By 2005 the hot mess was getting ready to boil over. Barney Frank doubled down and told congress everything was OK. The banks knew they had shit for loans and started dumping them. When so many went belly up on the insured CDOs the insurers (AIG et.al) didn't have the capital to pay the claims. And the house of cards came tumbling down. Who was at fault? Everyone. Mostly the financial institutions. But to lay that recession as W's complete and total responsibility is to ignore the facts. Please don't dent the planet. Destinations by Roxanne

    I support my local DZ owners because without them I would have a very hard time skydiving. And if USPA looks out for their interests I have no problem with that so long as there is no actual conflict with my interests. If the AG believes an EO is unconstitutional or violates existing law, it is their job to speak up. The chaos over this EO could have been avoided had President Bannon put aside his dictatorial tenancies and consulted with the people in the Dept of State and the Dept of Justice first. Don Agreed. But that's not what happened here. The AG said she wouldn't defend the EO. It's AG's job to Represent the United States in legal matters. It doesn't say they get to decide the outcome.     Many Canadians I talk to are doing everything in their power not to go to the US at this point. Meetings have been moved from the US to Canada. Golf trips to the US have been moved to Caribbean. Conference attendance evaluated and only those with urgent business requirements are attending. Probably time we keep trump supporters out of Canada too. Recent events show they have terrorist tendencies. Promise? Seriously you sound like the whiny actors in Hollywood who threatened to leave. What about the confusion around the implementation of this order that was rushed through so hastily that no-one was even sure who was covered by it now, let alone what the long term consequences will be? Any thoughts about that? You mean like the ACA? Fortunately, in this country we have three branches of government. I believe the ACLU has filed suit in Federal court blocking this order. I expect an injunction early this week. Then, we'll let the courts decide what we are able to do. You guys act as if we have traded our Republic for a dictatorship. Please don't dent the planet.
