  1. I like the vengence, great flare on landing, surfs great! My biggest complaint is that turns are sluggish and openings are slow and quirky). My new HeatWave will fly circles around the Vengence (but it dosen't land quite as well). It seems this is one canopy you NEED to downsize to get decent performance. 2. I had a horseshoe mal on my 22nd jump. A line caught under the bottom of my container. I was whipped around violently like a frog in a blender. When I cut away the main pulled free from the container but the RSL activated deployment of the reserve caused an entanglement with the main. I landed hard but walked away. The top of the main had been ripped from the force. This incident is just one of the reasons I will NEVER use or recommend an RSL. Skydiving is not a static excercise with discrete predictability...
  3. PISA has no website I know of. You can E-mail them though, and they will reply promptly. I is my understanding the Sonic was a Hornet predecessor, similar to a Sabre.... One note please, I've heard so many people say PISA chutes are PD knock-offs (ie the Heatwave is a Stiletto copy). It's not true. Jump a HeatWave and you will probably never want to pack or jump a Stiletto again! Skydiving is not a static excercise with discrete predictability...
  4. PD does not recommend or approve the Psycho Pack on any of it's chutes (as told to me by one of their reps). I know a number of people using using it with PD products with great success, including me. I would talk to a rigger about shear stress on the F-111 fabric at the bridle attachment...it might be a concern. Make sure you are using bridle extension long enough to reach to the center of the roll. Skydiving is not a static excercise with discrete predictability...
  5. I have had suits from 4 mfg's. Without a doubt I think the best free fly suit made is from Tad's Sportsware....awesome quality! Skydiving is not a static excercise with discrete predictability...
  6. I think the Psycho-pack is a safe packing procedure. BUT there are a few canopies that the old reliable pro-pack seems best. From my observations and experience,I would not suggest the psycho-pack for F-111 fabric chutes, the PD Vengence, Jedi, or other air-lock chutes. I know of one jumper that Psycos her Spectre with no problems. Make sure you have a bridle extension if needed... Skydiving is not a static excercise with discrete predictability...

  8. It sounds more like a marketing ploy, that being the re-release of older canopies under new names. Remember the Space canopy was re-released under the Alpha name (the same chute with a new label and higher loadings). Sounds like the same thing, with the only "tweeking" being a new label and logo. 11. i just purchased an AR-11. It came with reversed 3-rings and triple risers. Is it safe? I sent it back to AR for inspection and steering line replacement, but they said nothing about the risers. Thanks! Kirils Skydiving is not a static excercise with discrete predictability...
  12. PISA fabric packs smaller, I put a 170 Heatwave (psycho packed) in a Reflex sized for a 150 Saber. Skydiving is not a static excercise with discrete predictability...
  13. Of the half dozen different free-fly suits i've used, The best quality and bang-for-the -buck are suits from Tad's Sportsware. Skydiving is not a static excercise with discrete predictability...
  14. Ouch!!! You are paying about $1000.00 toooooo much. For the best deal on that gear , call Roy at Rigs& Things para-gear.com Two years ago I bought a starter rig from him. Great price & service. Kirils Skydiving is not a static excercise with discrete predictability...
  15. The chute has a bridle configuration for CREW. With the pilot bridle to the side, there is less chance for entanglement. Kirils Skydiving is not a static excercise with discrete predictability...
  16. I have not noticed any problems with the Psycho Pack EXCEPT with air-locked canopies. I do not recommend you try this pack job on canopies like the Vengence or Jedi. It seems to interfer with proper inflation and can cause violent spins!!!! The Psycho Pack has given me the most consistent predictable openings on other chutes. Orgasms

It's funny this discussion appears on this board. My field of research is drug development and delivery specific to human sexual performance and reproduction. Orgasm is clinically indentical for male and female, the only differences are due to conditioning. Kirils Skydiving is not a static excercise with discrete predictability...
  20. Hello, I have request for letters of encouragement to an injured jumper. She was in her AFF jump and landed hard, broke her leg, and bruised her body. She is anxious to heal and finish AFF. A little depressed, she thinks she is the only one who messed up a landing. Anyone intrested in sending her a letter of encouragement should address it to Melinda c/o skybabe321@brightnet.com Thanks, you letters will be greatly appreciated! sabre

Kris: A note on the HeatWave, if it's the new blunt nose: load it at a minimum of 1.2:1. Less than that, you might be dissapointed with the performance. If you are looking for a lighter loading, I recommend you try the Hornet. Kirils Skydiving is not a static excercise with discrete predictability...
  22. I've had 3 rides on a Raven 150. The chute flew great and had good landings....(better than my Sabre main). I still prefer a Tempo because of smaller pack volume. Skydiving is not a static excercise with discrete predictability...

    Sabre 2

Rumor at my DZ says it's a semi-eliptical 9 cell with higher loading and TSO'd for higher opening speeds. Skydiving is not a static excercise with discrete predictability...

    sabre

The Sabre is an old canopy (and good for its' day), but is technologically outdated. The canopy has some funny opening characteristics...I've see new ones open gently and have harder openings as they get older; and then seen just the opposite happen. I would not recommend a Sabre to anyone given the superior canopies available today. Skydiving is not a static excercise with discrete predictability...
  25. I got the Heatwave from Roy at Rigs&Things last summer. The leading edge is different from earlier versions. I have about 90 jumps on this new one and have had no problems with the canopy. You need to be square in the harness at pull or you will have an off-heading opening. It dosen't take long to learn how to steer with your hips on opening. I've had a few steep dives but no twists. (only with my Mirage or Dolphin container, I had lots of problems using this chute with my Reflex...which I no longer use..) Skydiving is not a static excercise with discrete predictability...
