The way I understood it was all about flight plans and clearances. The Otter left NC Airsports to go to point B. The A&M Memorial Boogie. Thats all I know cause we heard it take off. Now, if they jump tommorow - we will see that tommrow. Same thing for Spaceland. I am told we could have flown a load if we had the people tonight. I couldnt make the load from here. So I dont know how he would have filed his flight plan. I know we follow a strict pattern away. Annnouncing each executed turn and alt, etc. So, go figure. The CASA is on the taxi way in N. Carolina, right now to Texas. They stop at Skydive Atlanta for fuel. I talked to the pilot on his cell phone, I heard for my self and he promised it was true -he stuck the cell phone in the engine. all of us heard it. It is the same as Otter section in manual. If we get enuff people we fly the sunset load, at Spaceland. Just got off the phone. The only reason the Otter is not coming to Skydive Houston is an instrument issue. Does not sum it up! It was freakin funny. I had a weird dream last night. I dreamed that Pyke was altered to look alot like his friend Dirk in or around a certain area... . And there was this picture- Dirk was standing by a tree in a forest and Pyke was kneeling by Dirk? and looking lovingly at Dirks knee and towards the ground. It was a very pretty forest. I jump at or around 14,000 feet. I jump all around. I jump in my pool, too. I jumped the other day when a frog or a toad er something jumped on top of my team sandals. Then he flew across the garage and peed. Damn good thing he did not pee on Brit and my team sandals. Sheesh... But if you jump a dz that is private you can go to the below website to check the info there regarding the private airports. Such as Spaceland and Skydive Houston. All the planes are grounded. -So that meanes a few things to me. 1) skydivers are drinking, they could be in an accident, needing blood 2) attempts of suicide statistics will be higher among skydivers due to the absolute -no cloud- clear blue we have currently. 3) Compounding this issue alot of skydivers are off work! Check it out. I dont think it has changed, but it may have. He delivers his points on freeflying. I myself started right away -alone- talked to people they put me in a sit position on the gound and I looked at many a video. Get this: not one question regarding skydiving is stupid. On my 100th it was 11 way freefly big way. Me in a stable sit. Whatever it is- be stable. Work on stability. If you dont have it go back to belly. Freeflying routines can be dirt dived you know. But we dont stand on our heads!! :) We go thru the dive in our heads and watch each others positions. Find someone willing to give out pointers. You dont especially need a "coach" too much at $50 - $65 a jump. Unless you have the basics down. YOU MUST be altitude aware, audible dytter, cypres, and you are going faster, go to belly higher than your ususal. My stand is 177 mph. so you have to slow down before you pull on your belly. My buddy always breaks off at 5000. And he has, I forgot already....800 jumps er 900? Be careful, no you didnt hear me, B E C A R E F U L. Dont get in a hurry. There are alot of myths about freeflyers. Dont get sucked into the coolness of it or how bad ass I look, I mean, well you know.... Do not be so cool as to forget about landing either. Three things about skydiving that never change that always need work. 1. The exit 2. the skydive 3. the landing The attitude is key as well. Be a good skydiver. I have an excellent freeflying video, then later of my denting the earth. LOL My first video. The only reason it is so freakin awesome is that my best friend set the camera up so well -custom to the direction I look in. Took him 3 hrs. And I was forced to sit still ~ in a sit for long time. I have had daze like that. Very weird. I recall a time back when everything was bizarre. My roomate, Levin never had a cutaway 680 jumps I think and he had 2 in one week. And then I forget what all happened in this one weekend, I think the emergency door blew out of one Otter. AND they found it and it was unharmed. Back on the plane and off she went.
