I have been thinking about this post ever since I read it. I had a (my usual) long ass post written and then my computer died, so it did not get posted. Arent some of you glad! Heh... Basicly this- & I am now certain of this. I would jump with you any damn day. This is the kind of thing I like to hear. (Well, not really but...) The way that you thought that out is awesome. You landed like your life depened on it. Way to go. I have done my share and everyone elses share of screw ups. I think I have the record at Spaceland for land offs. I think in this sport- the sharing information is a good thing. Others can gain useful insight into some of the choices I have made both good and bad. I think the best skydivers ARE those who actually can come back and tell another person - Man, I just did this and it wasnt good -but I handled it this way.... The people I worry about are those not leveling with me or themselves about their abilites or thought proceses. We are all capable of errors. I can tell you that not all of my land offs have been pretty. I usually do alot of praying just over the church and land in my usual place - the field right beside it. There is a strech of wires I dont intend on landing in between the church, the road and the end of the runway. I have a terrible time with judging distance. I was too high for the field and too low for the runway. I carved low three times. Once to the right to get over the field, then to miss the trees at the end and then again to miss the trees on the side by the road. The last carve wasnt high enough to recover all the way from. I landed slightly downwind and I did a very nice face plant to the left of a fire ant bed. On top of that, my hand got stuck in the risers and my fingernails ripped the right side of my face open. So, my face was already covered in blood before I landed and I didnt know it. I just thought my risers hit me. Kat told me my face was slashed when she came and got me. I learn alot when I mess up. Lookit,.... I told you Jim would be sneakin out ... Lookie now he is just a postin to just anything, funny too!! LOL, that XP is terrible. Its a communist plot in its entireity. However you spell it. And 2 virus deals, and one Trojan horse dealio. (did you get that) (guess which ones And lookin for more ammo.!!. I also have the little giz mos to give them back and then some - as soon as the cyber coppers find their little tracks left in the cyber web. That dude Tron is running up and down the little lazer beams looking for the RatFink right now. And I still have holes or Bad Clusters in the disk. I saw 6 or 7 in it today. If you WANT some viruses, trojans, back door programs.... They are SO available for your downloading pleasure and gift giving just in time for the holidays. This one page has them listed: Viruses - then they list the ones you can download and the directions for useage. Same thing with Back Doors, Trogans, and a list labeled Hackers. The Hackers list I couldnt understand too well, but you get the idea. Jim beam me up, how did I get on this rant? Oh- their is a list for me - Protection.!! Heres the deal.... Off my site there is the SKYDIVERS NETWORK, (SkyNet) and SKYDIVERS BUSINESS LISTINGS. It kinda will work like this. . . . . . . Skydivers in need of job list resume here or post what you do or whatever on the classifieds like list. (City and State) Skydivers with businesses list the business so that skydivers will patronize YOUR business. OR that you can seek employees. Skydivers work too, ya know. With the wide variety of businesses we all have out there its a wonder we havent met somewhere? AirAnn.com is non-profit. Betcha didnt know that one. Its also a charity and 100% of every thing is for other people. Not me. Man, This weekend ~the time I spent with the "dot commers"~ was the bomb. You guys are so freakin great. I enjoyed my cameo appearance. It sucked that it had to be such a limited run. I wound up having a weekend full of 'family emergencies'. So I am sorry about that, unavoidable. However, the Pour of ChicagoSkydiver and Pami was killer. I kept telling Pami to breathe. It hard to breathe when cold stuff keeps getting poured on you. I'd yell breathe then go ahead and pour stuff on ChicSky. He had big chunks of ice on his shoulders. There was actually a video of that, on Pami's camera but someone (Slappy) forgot to turn it on. BTW: Single women dot commers who were not there- *Note: Chic.Sky./Hackey and Aggie Dave = are buff, and bad ass good looking, seriously Hookit, Conway, Jim A, Ramon, Cloud9, Carbonezone, and Hell, I can' remember a bad looking 'dot commer'. All super fine gentlemen. I dont know the 'status' of them however. I just jump with them so I know what they look like. AntiMike and JumperPaula - you kill me. I love you two.
