I learned to snap the transition and relax or go limp in the aforementioned position. And it works, but do it quick. Practice on the ground a bunch first. He made me sit still (of all the irritating things!) with the helmet on my head, then off, then on, then off, then on again. He set it up so if I even just look at something its filmed. I had to stare at the same thing. Then on, and off and on and off. Took him 3 hrs or more. He has all the gizmos to put the mount on and all that stuff. Hell, they are still here at my house - I finally stuck all of the table drills and tools and whatever in his room. So, I gotta say that something else to worry about, especially without a quick release on my helmet, would be just one other thing to worry about. kartanmatra My problem is I cant tell when its on. Then maybe its on and on Standby the whole time. Regardless I dont get video. Next time at altitude I guess, I turn it on and leave it on till I land. That is actually what I have been doing sorta. I yell is the light on??? I get a Yeah, but last time it musta been on standby. Dang it. All I gotta do with a cam eye is drill one hole and mount the light inside my helmet. Yup, like with Ken nobody ever landed off -if they did he got upset with himself. Can you believe that? He also found the freakin emergency door when it flew off. PhreeZone: I am just reporting what I saw on a nationwide special that was on tv the other day. Had nothing to do with Texas or anything else. This was about a liver that was already iced. They were reporting what happed just after. Not the ones already in the air or what happend after 3 hours I dont know. However, it was a tv special thing and I dont remember what made me watch it as I am sure I was glued to dropzone.com at the time and I only caught this one part. Cyber talked to CokeMan today and it sounds like he is at home now. Yep, he broke his leg alright. Both of Cybers friends are home now from the hospital. The other friend went in under a spinning reserve. Was basically left there for dead by the person at the house where he landed and the medics came and he wound up in the end with bleeding spleen, busted vertebra, 52 broken bones including pelvis, and he is going to be alright. He might limp some. Which is damn fine considering the situation. Earlier this year, Cybers friend and close DZ person swooped in hit a parked plane and that was it. His son was at the DZ packin and didnt go on that load. They say with or without a helmet with that kind of impact on a swoop you cant tell whether the helmet would have been a saver or not. Thank you so much Sangrio for pointing that one out. I am all over this. I so love to see our masses getting behind something that will be good for other people. It is like my favorite thing. The only plane allowed in the sky after they shut down the aircrafts on 9-11 was a C130 bound for Houston with an already harvested Liver for a transplant into a Pakastanian child. This only hours after the buildings were hit. And that had to be ok'ed by the President. My point is this... I only know about Houstons Medical community and it is extensive. And I havent heard a thing about African Aids being helped and it seems to me if these numbers are anywhere near accurate it should be looked into. By somebody smarter than me. Dude out at hardly any Rulz dz, Chris... - he made himself that 18 sq foot canopy that Cyber watched open and spin. I was in the front of the plane as usual with the FFers. So I couldnt see it. Anyway, I asked him whats up with that and he said, -Heh, I ran outta material. He told me how many cells it was but now I have forgotten. I couldnt agree with you more ordinarily, but he is talking about Rook Nelson. So, it is hard to say what this really means out of context. I have never seen a tube without a cutaway system. Safety is still a huge concern with tubes. On Larry's 1st tube jump it was all up in his lines. Damn, it looked ugly in the 2 film angles that I saw. But it quickly fixed itself, it hit the lines after the slider came down. Like I indicated in another thread, we all learned alot from those first few tube jumps. I learned look out in the door! Yikes, a bigger canopy is indicated for this. Different tools for different jobs. Stay safe. I strongly suggest that you have or use someone elses larger rig. My buds normal rig is an Alpha84, but now has a VX or FX little one, I cant remember which. He still keeps his Specter 120 for the tube jumps. He is the most careful skydiver I have ever seen. Always breaks off at 5k. You see the red and yellow dude in my picture beside my name, thats him. Now he thinks he is getting a base rig, not. I will send him my little Hey Jude song.
