Oh, I agree. But that is not happening. I have paid for the coach jumps - and I have had months and months of my buddies informal help. We dont even call it help - we call it the next jump. Example: ...on the this next jump we are going to try this.... What really upsets me is that newbies at the DZ's lately are getting offered some coaching for large fees. Thats fine if that is what they want to do and can afford it. Experienced skydivers offer their help to newbies and get asked not to 'offer their assistance' by these coaches? I have noticed this trend for a while. I have soured on the 'coach jump' idea for now. I will rather just do the 'next jump' idea. ...And call it a FUN jump. I have over 300 jumps at this point. (15 months) I took a month off -(5 fractures on my 1st camera jump & 1st canopy collapse) I lost a Protrack so it could be more. Thats about 21.42 jumps per month. But at one point I would do 10 in a day. I was tired and it was fun -and I want to do that again. However, swooping is not right for me I cant judge distance. Landing well would be nice. Headdown would be nice, but my camera is on top and its more difficult to learn this again after being off for a while. Especially when you learned without the camera. Coach jumps? In the begining... we used to help each other. ... Thats how I got to be where I am. People would jump with me and we both worked on things. We ALL improved that way. Now I do the same for others. We 'share the love' or we pass it on. Now... almost that very thing costs me $75. or $65 or so with a wink and dont tell anyone. These days around here we have to pay for help. If your buddy helps you and the word gets out about 'the help' your buddy gets asked to stop due to the cut back in the coaches business. Another thing is- one coach is not headdown stable. Seriously, he can SIT. IMO- that shouldnt be a 'coach'. Even if the cost is slot and a pack -no video. I supose thats fine if you both agree. But the student wouldnt know this bit of info. I feel the situation with coaching jumps in my area is incredibly out of hand. Others in the region seem to agree about the Houston coach jumps. I am not sure about anything. This I do know- once one person started coach jumping for fee - it mushroomed into a cottage business. Everyone is -giving or getting- coach jumps. Mostly the whole thing makes me sick. Certainly, some of the indiviuals who are charging for coach jumps are either in it for the free jump or to further their own agenda in some way. Some are worth it. There are some in Dallas who jump for a slot and a pack... But, are worth the $75. Some in San Marcus just want to help and do it just about free, I am told. I am not saying coach jumps are bad. I have done 2 coach jumps at Spaceland and they were good jumps. The videos are bad ass. It is this extreme that we have reached here where every time I sit down its coach this and coach that... Whats next... 8 person SCR's...... cha cha ching... $144. ...??????????? I just let mine recover from the 6 months of being pierced. I got tired of it. It only took maybe 3 days-I was suprised. My teeth are way better off. After I get the fillings replaced I should be all good. I dont think too much enamel was lost. I dont see why you couldnt drink alcohol. I have never heard of that after a piercing. I took anti-biotics and pain killers and I was super cool. I dont drink very much, so I did not miss the drinking part. The only thing I regret is - not taking it out when I was at my mothers house (she did not say a word, just stared at me a lot) and not getting a freeflying picture of me sticking my tounge out. Photoshop 6 will take a snagged frame from my TRV11 and make it nice. I have the Sony program EZEditor to go with my camera and it works well. But only after I figured it out. I am still pretty darn upset about what Mr Groper wrote about me. But, attacks on persons who are my friends bother me way more than the crap he wrote regarding myself. I guess he would not approve of AirAnn.com helping people who are less fortunate either. The only reason I am not out at the DZ right now taking on the 'challenge dive' he threw down at Zennie is, I went into low bank funds doing my charity thing. However, I feel like sharing the wonderful world of skydiving with other people, but that is my thing. Well, I question my exposing good people to this person. If in the future he continues to jump at Waller, I will take my business and my charity stuff elsewhere. I personally, can take anything he dishes out. But if I have a person who I am introducing to skydiving... I would prefer not to immediately run into the Gropers of this world. It is really a shame we have this guy right smak dab in the middle of one of my dz's. It messes up all the good karma that this dropzone is known for. I do 'know' this person. And we have in fact, been on many a same load. Up and until the day he posted here, I had no issues with him or anyone else. I have never done a skydive with him due to the fact that I freefly and he is off before me. But I have checked his pins. If asked I will check them again accurately as if they were a disabled persons or my own. I do not know and can not fathom what Richards agenda is here with his postings. I know his wife to be a wonderful individual and I thought he was decent as well. I always gave him the benefit of the doubt. As I would anyone. The last time I saw him.. I had a bad skydive and was leaving the dropzone totally upset. I wasnt talking to anyone at that moment and I was totally whacked about my issue with myself. So I opted to go home. I saw Richard out of the corner of my eye. I had never known him to jump at this DZ before so I backed up to say hello and to welcome him to Waller. He said he liked it and would continue to jump there. I havent seen him there since. But I am sure he jumps there if he says he does. I am very sorry for what has happened here regarding Richard. He does not represent this dropzone, or any person who jumps there, nor any persons in Texas. We are not like this in Texas. We also do not generally attempt to come into this forum or anywhere else and pick a skyfight. Regarding what he has said about me, Slappy, Zennie, and now Sangrio, and others - I have no idea what is up with him. But, I think we have all had enough of it. He was asked nicely by 2nd in command to take it to wreck dot. He continues to make foul remarks and drag other persons names into his mess. All of us mentioned have been nice to him. I think that is pretty much over. I think this drama is outrageous. I would not like to come into this place and get trashed. I expect my friends do not either. If I did, I would be at wreck dot.
