I could write a book..... on the anxiety thing- Valium is ok, but better I think would be Klonopin or Xanax. 800 mg of Motrin for the cramps and toss in whatever else on top if you feel like it. Valium has depressive side effects. I dont know of very many Drs now who use it for anxiety. Back 30 years ago it was my Mothers main stay. Now we have other treatments for this horrible disorder thta are more user friendly. Xanax is fine did that one for years. But for 8 yrs, Klonopin in low doses. Combined with realistic thinking. It is adviseable because it is short lived. I have near zero the next day wondering around in my bloodstream to bother my skydiving. And 2- No depression or depressive moods (in side effect form) As for your sister. I understand that sisters sometimes fight alot in the first place. Tonight you did right, you would have your sister, the child, and you in the car. my opinion I could be wrong.... ~AirAnn~

I went there once for an Invitational Contest. (Womens Surfing, 1982) I went straight to the peir from Orange County were I stayed with a friend of a friend. (lotsa smoke inside his house, whew) So I dont remember much of that. I got to the peir and the first words spoken to me in that state were .... Goose, I lost it over yours. Buttercup Rhino-Sniffer ??? Funny as hell. Zippy AppleLips - I got nothing, too plain. Coincidence?, just yesterday I was watching a Hitchcock program where a guy changed his name and lived his life, etc. So I thought what would I change my name to - Zippy AppleLips wasnt it. I will take a snap shot of my life at this very minute and you can see what it looks like. The girl with the giant swollen red eyes, would be me. Sometimes I dry up enough to post something. I think I am going to stop doing that. It makes me loze friends and that makes the sadness worse. So far I have one left. So I guess its not so bad after all. Kelly- Misunderstanding -I was pointing out how strong she is. I have never seen any one want to skydive more than she did. I often stood right beside her as we looked at the landing area. As you know it took me over 100 or 200 jumps to land my canopy. I was the joke of the dropzone. But I was happy to give everyone something to laugh about. I think you remember all that. I jumped in winds and backed up all the time. Back then I was pretty thin. So, I really know how she feels. Backing up and planning a forward land is pretty scary. But she came out time after time after time when SO many would have given up. Some days she would jump and some days she wouldnt. She would wait all day long just to go up. Sorry for your interpretation, but I support persons who just have a will to keep on going in skydiving or any other area. ~AirAnn~

Gawain.... Oh ye of little faith..... But I do understand your point. Its possible that the little guy gets no better or even worse goes even more POSTAL. However, given the correct treatment that was NOT given to the animal prior, I think Bunky can do it. I believe he would not ask for help if he wasnt truely committed to undoing the damage. I dont think they little guy can be very old. A pet store couldnt have a liability like a biting ferret for long. Maybe a few months, 6 tops. But I am guessing. I am positive the animal was seriously mistreated by the customers. Poked at and etc. He likely leared his first lesson there - humans suck. I dont blame him. Alot of them do bad things to animals even if they 'own' them. (bastards) Bunky has had him -what- 3 days? Again- Patience and Time. This is too soon to snuff him out. Thats true, Phree. I can think of about a million who live right around me. Trey, Ramon, Zennie, Nick, Scott Boston... you remember Larry from Dallas- he is back and lives right down the street, Brittany, Eric Boyd till he bought his house, .... oops memory loss..... anyway, there are a ton right around here. I dont know why I never had a skydiver party here in 2 years. Dan was in my SUV and (I have stickers) some guy in the neighborhood pulled him over by a stop sign. He just moved here. DOCUMENTATION, WITNESSES, DATES AND DETAILS, FACTS, FACTS, and FACTS Have him save the reciepts for the magazines, that is a good one. These are the things that he needs BIG time. He should keep a notebook. Later on time will distort his memory. He can sue the hell out of this company for every reason you mentioned. But, he will need some kind of evidence and documentation. Nobody should be treated this way. Ever. I had a slightly similar event in my last position. I was asked to file illegal insurance claims. One doctor did the work but didnt have a provider number - so file it under a doctor who does was what he wanted and they had been doing it for a considerable amount ot time to MEDICARE. NOPE, no way. I told him it was illegal and I couldnt do it. It wasnt very long before he undermined my authority within my department. He got someone else to do it and when I found out - I stopped that. And what do you know.... he asked me to resign. I told him No, that is something that I wouldnt normally do. He sent me home - 3 days later I was not needed anymore. I could have sued for many other reasons, harassment, duress and tons of other stuff. But now I cant remember all the details. Damn it. The whole experience was tramatic. Going to work on a daily basis I would damn near have panic attacks. I feel very sorry for your son. I couldnt quit either for financial reasons. I should have the bad finacial stuff happened anyway. ~AirAnn~

Listen here, I can not imagine you being scared to tell your loved one about a vacume cleaner.... You had to do that crazy 'modified AFF' program thing and you werent scared. Or at least when I talked to you - you were not. Hell all you did was stare out at the landing area for hours studying all the grass blowing around. Then tandem after tandem after tandem. What did you do like 12 of them? Then what, they had to get you a midget rig or tie you to a rig or something. Lookit Chickie- A vacume cleaner discussion with your loving husband -who should have hired me-, is not a big problem. Remember that a parachute that doesnt open is a big problem. Perspective, you know. You must have an honest relationship with this man. Tell him what happened. You had your tool box out working on the vacume cleaner for hours and finally had to get another one to help with hopefully HIS cats hair. LOL You are the Keeper of the Homestead. You gotta have the right tools. And besides - you did not do it on purpose, you wanted the home to be lovely when he came home so the emergency vacume was warrented. You are remorseful, sorry, appologetic and rehabilatated now. You might want to give him his credit card back as a token of good faith. ~AirAnn~

Goose has got it down. That is the way to go. Especially in this little guys current state. Seems he is almost wild. (Feral Ferret?) Patience is the ticket. Let him get used to everything while he is in his 'safe place'. The TV, people coming and going, the other two ferrets. I would also put something small in there that smells like you. ~AirAnn~

The males are a little more aggressive (or can be). And they are much bigger. I, at one time, had about 4 of them. (Frank, Felecia, Farrah, and Freak Ferret.) This may take a while, but he is looking for trust. Most likely at the pet store he was poked at and everything else by mean customers. You might try a cage for a while with many toys and talk to him in there - put that on the couch with you while you watch tv. Hopefully the cage is a bird cage type so he can see out and realize nothing is going to happen to him. This is likely the most important thing at first. He has been caged and felt safe in the small place. Let him go back to that small safe place feeling until he can get used to a room. And so on. Similar thing with Greyhounds who formerly raced. They have never heard a dishwasher, doorbell, and etc. The only place they feel comfortable at first is in a small place. When he tries to bite, thump him a little on the nose and say No. You dont have to yell No. The thump is good because a hit (is just wrong) and besides he can see it coming. Just say No with a thump, then pet him in a minute. With my Great Dane, he will accept my head shaking (no) as a command just as well as a quietly spoken No. Animals have great hearing, but at times we think we need to yell NO. (When a bunch of people are around that flies out the window, he is too excited) He likely has spent his whole life either in a breeding mill or in pet stores. He wont know that your home is safe at first. And he wont trust you. Ferretts are wild animals, it can be that he reverted back to instinct and that is a tough one to break. Try toys in his mouth to bite, but not hands. You can try a treat as well from your hand. And train him alone without your other two little buddies around around. If you are mixing males and females. Watch out for the male when he starts biting the back of the females neck. Eventually there will be a sore there. Its a foreplay thing. A major tip that ferret owners usually do not know- There is a drinking water additive called Doggy Odor Gone. This will eliminate the musk smell. Simple and it works. I appreciate you (your wife) taking in the little guy before he was put him down. Some training, patience, and time should cure this little 2nd chancer from his fears. Get him litter box trained or you will find one day all kinds of cool places with little ferret poop. My mother swears they made the poop piles in a J shape just for my last name initial. Actually LEVIN - BTW- Trail Mix has been sheared. Your beloved cat, the two offspring of your other cat are fine. The dog I took cause your brother couldnt have it is a charm, so sweet. LOL at Foxy's Horse!! You should see Skeet now. Oh lord. I think 168 lbs or around. Ginger's pregnancy was my fault. I never had a female before. All male dogs. They gotta wear these little pants around. And I took them off for her to go outside. One day I wasnt here and that proceedure was repeated but that was when we got Number One and Number Two. Kids, you gotta watch them all the time. I am constantly counting heads around here. Especially TrialMix, Levin would kill me if I lost his beloved cat.
