Previously married. Post married, hence single and currently scary. This is NOT a test of the emergency Babe-cast network. I repeat NOT a test. Babes Beware. ~AirAnn~

CB- Ditto on Chris he is a real nice guy and totally approachable. He can give you an idea on what you should do now. I waited till I had 20 or 30 jumps before a gazillion (60 or so) solo jumps, then my first coach jump. It could be that if you do like it and you start early you could avoid bad habits. Watch video and read books on basic form. The Art of Freefly is what I read long ago. But there are more. Be like a sponge - listen and learn alot. At Elsinore you should be knee deep in Freeflyers. ~AirAnn~

Put your legs straight is the peace sign. If you are sitting the same sign would be in a crunched position and for stand the same but pointing down. Once my coach was sitting with me (13 way) and I did not see his signal so he started putting his legs straight and bent, straight and bent rather quickly. It was real funny on video. Arms forward was thumb and pinky towards your coach and the other way for moving away or backward movement. Also the 'come here' or a universal coaxing move for come forward. I think a fist was stop / hold position. It seams like a cartwheel was my coach doing his head sideways quick with a flip of his hand. I knew what we were going to work on certainly before the skydive. So these signals were not a suprise for me. We went thru it and he did the same hand signals on the ground that he would do in the air. The breathe signal for me was in the door and it was my coach doing an exagerated breath for himself with an open mouth, raised chest and his eyes buggin out. I am unaware of a standard for hand signals in FFing. Somebody else may know. I am all for it. For those that are unstable or out of control, signals arent going to help. For this your money (IMO) needs to be spent on some more solo work. Communication is key with anyone you jump with. But that is just my 1.5 cents of experience talking. Be safe - have fun - dont forget to smile. ~AirAnn~

No, I just figured since you don't have enough stuff to do....... sarcazim .... You could slide in a Casa this weekend for FleaFlyer, Zennie, Dan & my annual celebration of April birth certificates. However, you do raise a point that persons might like. Not me, I am scared of super stars. ~AirAnn~

Damn Levin- Looks like Skydive Houston's calandar is booked with cool stuff to do for freeflyers this summer. Dang.... Dude- for next year (this is a must) first weekend in April is Flea's birthday (& other important people). A Casa will be fine. It looks like you could fit in a few more seriously skilled freeflyers in May. Maybe you can work on that in your spare time. ~AirAnn~

What not to do (how the Aggie almost died)
airann replied to AggieDave's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
Dave- I am jumping to basically the end of this thread. You have good advise here, I am sure. Anyway, I just heard about this from my bud in NC. (she is in love with you BTW) I know you did not cutaway, but I did. My cutaway was a mess. (Line over + line twist + horizontal spin) I let it go. I was green as a grasshopper. I had maybe 90 jumps +/-. Still, if I think its not right and its past that messed up point - Buh Bye. Here is what I do, which is a sure sign its wrong, but it works for me. -
GAWD, I feel sorry for the Deland folks. At least you warned them. ~AirAnn~

Did you know a styrofoam cup will make champagne go flat. Anyway, you can still drink it. Actually it was a special gift for my Dad, who can appreciate it and he knew exactly how nice the gift was. All of that tastes the same to me. I am not into conYak. Or spirits. It is too warm in my throat. However, Drambuie (tastes like honey) is awesome neat. And real cold champagne whith Chambord (raspberry liquor) dribbled to form a layer at the bottom of the glass is the greatest. I have tasted many champagnes from around the world. From the most expensive to not. My absolute favorite on sale costs $5.99. I dont care for Dom at all. Too dry and I think too woody. I tend to lean towards fruity

Damn - its almost like what JT did with Photoshop. You know, like putting his head on a kick ass looking body. Not very original. But who the hell would put their real nakid body on here? I mean really, homey dont play that. ~AirAnn~

Here it is- Louis XIII XO in Baccarat Crystal Bottle The highest quality Cognac on the market today, Louis XIII has been carefully tended by three generations of Rémy Martin cellar masters. The result is a magical combination of savoir-faire, art and patience. Rémy Martin Louis XIII uses only grapes from the Grande Champagne region which guarantees its unique, exclusive quality. It is blended from eaux de vie, some more than a century in age, then it is aged in 'tiercons', barrels that are several hundred years old, in a cellar set apart for it alone. Undoubtedly the world's finest, this exceptional Cognac has always been a favorite in the world of politics, fashion, and art. Its connoisseurs include Christian Dior and Elton John. Queen Elizabeth II, who was served Rémy Martin Louis XIII Grande Champagne Cognac in Versailles Palace in honor of her 1957 visit to France. And Winston Churchill, who celebrated his election victory with it in 1951. I cant find the part about where it goes on a ship. ~AirAnn~

I knew that name sounded familiar. I was a wineo for a minute. I used to go to all the tastings. After a while they were all good. Shiraz is the name used in Australia for the Syrah grape, one capable of producing fine, peppery wines of depth. I mostly stick with Calif wines as some from 'over there' do not travel well. And besides you cant know all the wines of the world. And I sure as hell cant remember them all. I have a terrible memory, so help a sister out here. I bought my Dad for Christmas once this alcohol, it was $580 a bottle and it came in a Crystal bottle. The empty bottle, I was told later was worth about $190. I can not think of the name of it. I want to say Hennesy, thats not it. But it was like ...... but my Dad likes Scotch. Louie the something.... I think.... Damn Anyway, it is aged for a long time and it comes with a paper that certifies that it is real and lists the places that this liquor has been. It is put in a barrel, the barrel is put on a ship that is going someplace anyway. While on the ship the fluid in the barrel gently rolls as with the ship. It goes like all over or around the world or something. Then it comes back and they sell it when it is aged properly. The bottles are numbered and officiated. Blessed by the Pope or some big deal. I think it was Louie the something.... I will come back when I remember. My point is that you might not believe all the things that go into wine and other alcohol making. ~AirAnn~
