Friday - Sunday March 5,6,7 Hey everyone....we are working really hard in making an awsome boogie this year in Deland. We know it was a horrible winter up-north so we couldnt think of a better way for some northern skydivers to travel to Daytona Beach Florida for spring break and "thaw" out skydiving in Deland! 3 out of 5 of us are part of Embry Riddle Aeronautical University's skydiving club. It was the day of our activities fair where all the clubs and organizations around school show off. Since we obviously have the coolest club, we showed off by jumping into campus. My friend tristan made the video (thats the shaddow you see on landing, i jumped out first). We both landed in that big soccer field but the 3 others (with more jumps then us) landed in between a few buildings in a rain ditch. all in all it was a great jump! and great exposure for our club and esp skydive deland "Airborne all the way" EL Cantador Rodriguez

dont worry...already bought by beer! green bottles for all!!! also yea tamer wasnt in his birdman suit but he swooped it right infront of a big crowd on the other size of campus! and yea...our air was restricted to cause of daytona international airport and daytona international speedway as they were practicing! it was skydive universitys course in deland...rob laidlaw and chromy i wasnt nervous at all, even thought outside the box a whole lot more!! damn plane showed up earlier and i was rushing and forgot to check for the AAD to be on...besides that all the jumps went perfect just have to do it again, making sure i remember his cypress which i know i wont forget anymore! thanks for the advice everyone "Airborne all the way" EL Cantador Rodriguez

with the wind tunnel being so small in nature...you will be able to look at yourself in the reflection of the glass/mirror and be able to judge your turns better, arching/de-arching, some forward and backward movement. it is a very good tool in my mind for students who do not yet have experience in jumping with others that have a tough time finding out what each body postion does, or how much it effects a turn for example. if you are in the air and extend ur leggs you may not feel a difference even though you are moving. however in the tunnel your head smacking against the glass window if you go to quick is a good thing for you to learn how to control your body easier. i went to the wind tunnel with 25 or so jumps the first time and i walked out of there like i could be on big ways just from being able to control my body so well up and down and 360's. it is def worth it if you want to learn how to be comfortable doing those menuvers. Well i have decided to give something back to the sport now (besides the foul smell in the airplane at jump altitude!) and get my coaches rating. I am taking the course at 8:00am starting tommorow (friday...skipping full day of school). for those out there with this rating or have done the course...any advice??? I NEED IT! On Feburary 14th, 2004...Z-hills is hosting a couples freefly competition. I would love to attend to freefly but it seems like cupid doesnt like me again this year and they dont have a singles catagory (although they say there will be discounted jumps that day too).
