  2. I run premiere and any/all graphics heavy stuff off my ATI Radeon 9800.....without a single glitch If 'ya PC just be sure you have plenty of RAM .....and that card will handle anything out there today on a Pentium 4
  3. On long boring motorway runs...If i'm in the passenger seat, I'll make a little dude with rig from my used gum.....and go through a static line exit procedure via the window. Wind window down.....check the spot

  5. Its been seen and is the correct setup for RSL on a Teardrop SF. Please note ! I have removed the velcro cover that covers up most of the RSL/Webbing setup and is in fact very secure ( done to illustrate the RSL routing) I have to say though....it does seem an awful lot more 'snaggable' than alot of containers I have seen Next question.....removing that RSL?? disconnect at top end and 'snip snip' with some heavy duty pliers ?
  6. Second picture of overall RSL setup attached ....cause I think I exceeded my KB limit in the first post
  7. Reacting to a post in the incidents section got me thinking about potential problems I have heard about with my rigs set up Thomas Sports Teardrop Superfly with RSL Just about everyone 'experienced' I have seen who has experience of this rig suggests an RSL is not a fantastic idea..... Reason..? the RS Line routing is down the front webbing and connected to just above the Reserve handle........the problem being that a partial cutaway ( one riser) might put enough tension on the RSl to make pulling the reserve handle at least 'difficult' Or Even heard the RSL would not develop enough 'force' to pull the rserve pin , but would unseat the reserve handle from its pocket......neither is a particularly appetising thought in the moments its going to happen in Anybody with experience of this..? or general comments ? (Picture of RSL setup attached)
  8. Nice work Gus ! Lots of firsts in there !! I'm all shaky just watching that... Cant wait until I get enough SD experience to start doing that stuff. Nice one
  9. Was it your packjob? or a Staff one ( and well done for saving your own ass )
  10. ahhh I know it well....skydive spain that is How is Barry , Jonno and the crew? Nah never tried Desparado's.... Maybe next trip BTW that looks suspicially like the Irish Bar in downtown Seville........am I close ?
  11. Bravo....I agree, but I would suggest taking those concerns 'locally' to the DZ Operator before publically and internationally...damaging a DZ's reputation. From my own experience I very nearly did not go to what is now my local DZ based on a slagging it received in these forums.....and lo and behold when I get there i find, its a great DZ...and that the criticism was not truly warranted. If you get negative feedback from the DZ Operator on ya concerns and questions...sure , share it with everyone here
  12. ahhhh....CruzCampo .. Are you in Seville ? 'The rain in spain falls mainly......when I'm freakin' there !!" Hope it clears soon, man...
  13. Ouch !!....that looked like it musta' hurt

    Any Nail Biters?

If I wasnt biting my nails I'd probably be smoking or something worse......I know which I prefer ! Anyway we are not 'Nail biters' We are 'Obsessive Manicurists'...lol
  16. Just to add....if you are worried about them 'not ' accepting your sports equipment....just make damn sure you are near the front of the line at check in.....they are less likely to argue with you than if you are the last in the line...
  17. Post the Paypal info.... I would like to and I know others would like to contribute as well.. Top site....
  18. Nah I think she meant Sunday... The 9-way landed off .......twice The only casualty apparantly was a spooked horse....!! The winds were getting up some in the afternoon though....
  19. Your right....but keep saying its a sport parachute and that it really is sports equipment for that sport !! I didnt ring ahead....and I dont think the peeps on check in are not really gonna contest the above...especially if it is in its 'own' specific bag...they just want to get onto the next person in the queue. That said I agree with whats been said.....simply dont take no for an answer if they contest its sports equipment.... Sorry to hear about the weather.....where were you??Empuria....Lillo...Seville?
  20. I put mine through as checked baggage.... Tell them...nay ...point out very clearly its sports equipment. Ryan Air charge a £15 'each way fee for this Problem is ...if (like my rig) its in a 'regular' hard suitcase...they simply wont believe you thats its 'sports equipment' and so will try and rip you off by paying the excess weight as regular luggage ( which is tons more expensive) Do it right the worst it should cost you for a return journey is 30 quid...less if you have a sympathetic check in gal DO make sure you give ya self some extra time at check in...'you will need it Do make sure you have some kinda documentation on ya hardbag ( eg Cypres X ray picture) to highlight it is not just regular baggage...or they might ask you to 'show them' your sports equipment...and open it up. DONT take any shit...it IS sports equipment....and rules are rules...yeah so its not a freakin tennis racquet or something....but its YOUR sports equipment DO consider Easyjet....never had a problem or had to pay excess... DO have fun at Emp.B
  21. Any opening issues...??? Slower .....faster...funkier...?
  22. ...Viewed on skydivingmovies.com Is there a problem with 'rolling' the canopy to get it into the bag as opposed to S folding it in ..? Anybody using this technique..? http://www.skydivingmovies.com/ver2/pafiledb.php?action=file&id=233
