It sounds like a PC Anywhere or VNC type host service. With those someone can connect to your machine and run your desktop, transfer files and such. As another newbie to the sport I can relate to what you are going through. It seems like the body is still screaming "YOU'RE GONNA DO WHAT!?" This past weekend I went up for my AFF2 and was fine on the plane other than my normal motion sickness problem with flying in general which wasn't as bad as it usually is.. We talked through the dive, I visualized the jump. After a hard landing ( flared late landed on my butt in the middle of the peas) I thought it went well. During debrief I found out that I forgot to do my practice touches and hardly moved at all during the turn sequence. I had to repeat the level. During the wait for the next load I started getting really nervous but knew that I had to go again. On the ride up my mouth was dry, I was sweating like nobody's business and the stomach was doing some freestyle of it's own. Once we got in the door everything went great to include my first stand up landing. I agree that the better shape you are in, coupled with good training and practice will result in fewer injuries. Just read an interesting article on Cross country (http://www.afn.org/skydive/sta/dta/cross.txt). Does anyone have experience with a cross country and know af a place to do such a thing? Stuffed Peppers work well for me. Use your normal recipe. I also make a lasagna in one, but I roll the noodles into pinwheels and stand them vertically for ease of serving. I finally found a chair that rolls real smooth. WIth one push off I can get from one end of the datacenter to the other. If I put the seat all the way up, I can kind of get a little arch going and then some spin action. I did my first Tandem jump at another DZ and then Skydive Carolina was recommended ot me bu two friends. From the initial phone call they let me know what to expect and how much it would cost. I did my second tandem there then started their AFF program. The classroom training was excellent, the practical training seemed thorough ( do it till it's right) and the staff always made time to answer questions no matter how busy they were( even if I asked as they were passing by on the their way to load). They made sure I was safe and tried to keep me relaxed. ALthough I don't have a lot of experience with other DZs, I am confident they will take good care of me and make sure I am ready. As I was watching a load land the owner was taking an experienced diver to task about safety and a "questionable " approach over the hangar. They are all about their customers.
