President George W. Bush Launches the 4% Project
RonD1120 replied to RonD1120's topic in Speakers Corner
Isn't there considerable controversy regarding GPA as a predictor of success? All of BHO's records seem to be unknown. It appears he is a totally created figurehead by G. Soros et.al. G.W. Bush was an average student, and faired a little higher than J. Kerry. Both of them were above A. Gore. R. Limbaugh and G. Beck did not attend college. Well, Limbaugh dropped out as a freshman. I matriculated X3 and question the path at this stage of life. Education in and of itself don't mean squat. However, going to college will teach you how to think. The downside is that thinking is an individual activity, that is microcosmic, and does not necessarily jibe with the macrocosmic world. Look for the shiny things of God revealed by the Holy Spirit. Patriotic display. It's hard to believe that it comes from Chicago but, patriotic none the less. Look for the shiny things of God revealed by the Holy Spirit. They only last for an instant but it is a Holy Instant. Let your soul absorb them. -
Not sure how you came to that conclusion. No, I do not love war. I believe war is a necessary condition of a fallen world. Some individuals, I am referring strictly to Americans here, have a military spirit and they voluntarily choose that way of life. Once inducted into military service they must serve where they are ordered. The entire military system is based on a philosophy of hierarchy of orders. The more rank you earn the less orders you have to follow and the more you get to issue. I support the military and its veterans. I have dedicated my life to their service. I hope that clarifies my position for you. Look for the shiny things of God revealed by the Holy Spirit. They only last for an instant but it is a Holy Instant. Let your soul absorb them.

That is not correct. I support equality for blacks and women. I do not believe that the homosexual minority should have special privilege because of the choices they make. I also believe that I will lose that one. Look for the shiny things of God revealed by the Holy Spirit. They only last for an instant but it is a Holy Instant. Let your soul absorb them. -

Those who can, do. Those who can't, teach. It must really piss you off that so many people pay lots of money to have people like me teaching their children. No it does not. I am a conservative, free market capitalist and, I strongly believe in the right to earn as much the market will support. What does bother me is that you and the other subjects, or former subjects, of the UK seem to think that it is OK to earn the money and then bad mouth the value system, freedom of choice and God given liberty that made it possible. That does bother me. It bothers me greatly. Look for the shiny things of God revealed by the Holy Spirit. They only last for an instant but it is a Holy Instant. Let your soul absorb them. -

Dead on right. Many believe that is what led to the Dallas solution. I heard on the 970AM last week that Jesse Ventura has a new book, 63 Documents the Government Doesn't Want You to Read, that sheds new light on the subject. I'll probably read it but doubt if the light bulb will glow any brighter. BTW, I flew in one of the BoP B-26's on a night ordinance mission after they were placed back in USAF inventory. I believe it was Range 52 on the Eglin complex. Look for the shiny things of God revealed by the Holy Spirit. They only last for an instant but it is a Holy Instant. Let your soul absorb them.

And, therein lies the need for a spiritual morality to create a balance with existential angst, alienation, absurdity, boredom and despair which leads to the lack of self-restraint. In other words, if the individual is willing to accept total consequential responsibility, then he is free to do whatever he desires. Liberal left claims only smart people should make the rules. Conservative right claims only rich people should make the rules. Christians say God makes the rules and you will be judged. Will judgement find your name in the Lamb's Book of Life? Isn't that pretty much the way liberal left views society. Everything is in flux, dynamic and depends on the whims of the intellectual elite. Look for the shiny things of God revealed by the Holy Spirit. They only last for an instant but it is a Holy Instant. Let your soul absorb them.

He's a lawyer? I guess I need to remember that Condell is an entertainer. However, Islamic Muslim bashing has its positive side. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pat_Condell Patrick Condell (born November 23, 1949) is a British writer, comedian, and atheist internet personality. He performed alternative comedy shows during the 1980s and 1990s in the United Kingdom, and won a Time Out Comedy Award in 1991. He was also a regular panellist on BBC Radio 1's "Loose Talk". From early 2007, he began posting short monologues denouncing religion to a number of video sharing websites. His videos have been featured on many websites, including YouTube and LiveLeak. They have also been published to DVD, and also as a book of video transcripts. As of February 2011, Pat Condell's YouTube channel has over 148,000 subscribers and 30.8 million views. In a video titled "Vote small, think big" Pat Condell apparently seemed to express support for the UK Independence Party[4] Look for the shiny things of God revealed by the Holy Spirit. I have only seen/heard a few of his video opinion editorials. I know he is anti-Christian as far as faith is concerned. Sometimes I believe he is right on target, as in my OP link. Oh, OK. As a cranky old man, if I think someone is being snarky I try to get snarkier. And, you are correct. Life has been tough but, I am a survivor with the grace of God. Some that is true. Also, I have been enlightened by the military, other veterans, sport parachutists, university professors, psychiatrists, astrologers, mental health counselors, alcoholics and others with substance use disorder, neighbors, national catastrophes, world events, TV, NPR, the Holy Bible, to name a few, but, above all personal experience. Nonsense. He's the same type of self-marketer that Limbaugh is. Like Limbaugh, he has a product of tasty pablum that sells, and a consumer base who will lap it up. Nothing more, nothing less. As for "people recognize that", you're confusing belief with recognition. Maybe but, jeeze, you're an attorney. What do you know about speaking from heart. Just kiddin'.
