Since you went there.... I just got back in the sky today, and hell it was still fabulous. Lisa, can you tell me the difference between delta/tracking? I did my first tracking dive at sundown today. It was way cool. I got out at 13.5 and did a 180 off of the flight line. At that point, I flattened out, brought my hands back, not all the way to my waist, but say five o clock for my right and seven o clock for my left. I flattened out and picked up speed. The most relaxing thing to me is to imagine my body slamming into the planet at 120 plus miles per hour.... Incredible. Puts me too sleep everytime, like a baby. WTF? OVER? Relaxing? LOL - K, YOUR NUTS. Seriously though, I'm such a newbie its sick and now that the freaking weather is cooperating again I'll start jumping again. But, I've gotta say. My last three jumps were zen. Ok, I hate to admit it. For the most part. I don't miss a thing. I was unsure of myself, a bit of a loner, had a serious drug problem. However, there was one shining light. My band. We were incredible for a few guys that just slapped it together. We were incredible. Aside from that? Well, I thought I was a rock star. Behaved like an ass, smoked enough pot for a small nation. You have my complete sympathy. Drinking has long been a tradition in my family and we've lost many to alcoholism. The pain is sometimes too much to bear and it seems like a snowball, once it starts growing and rolling it just keeps going. Just thinking about it makes my heart heavy. Peace and warmth to you and your family. Losing someone in any manner is painful, but this one is definitly tougher than the usual. Good point, I certainly can connect with the fact that he's attracted to strippers. However, in the last twenty years I've managed to avoid that trap and get tied up into a long term relationship. I'm thinking short term and just trying to enjoy myself. Somewhere in here I seem to have a need to make it without having someone to "prop me up". Which in retrospect, I think is why I've failed in my past relationships. No easy answer to this life thats for sure. The hard part about flying solo is when your an affectionate person. Tends to magnify what can be perceived as raw loneliness I think. However, somewhere in there I'm believing there will be clarity and healing... peace, Jack It's a gas, gas, gas...
