Why does it need to be anchored. If you can't hit a moving target, downwind, with obstacles, you shouldn't be jumping that canopy anyway right?
-
Just use a really long one (2385 feet). And most of them would be just as stable as if hanging from the plane anyway.
-
Oh right. Like girls never fart.

You know I hate reading this shit. Packing is *REALLY* something that shoud be included in the student progression. At my DZ, there are always people around to show you how to pack.
-
So it matches your jump suit?

Think what Jimi would have done had he not drowned in his own vomit. Drugs have also robbed of us of some of the best music.

video of a non-fatal accident

Maybe you should just stick to car crash videos. You clearly have no idea what you are asking for here. -
So what is the difference between a rocker taking LSD to improve her creativity and a football player taking steriods to enhance his bulk?

You, clearly, have never been married.

A guy where I work jumps. I had no idea until he came out to Walterboro to get his Strong rating. He said he had seen my car outside the building but we didn't meet until he came out to my DZ. We have done a couple of jumps together since.

Think how much benefit it would be to your patients if you wore your pj's on your visits!!!
-
Bet that was an exciting couple of minutes.

In every instance I have screwed up jumping (that I can remember, there have been a lot) there was always a crowd of people watching (often richly entertained)

Actually that same color is refered to as watermelon on the PD website.

various cool (what not to do in skydiving) videos

It looks like the student was attempting a turn. It seems that, after the turn was initiated, the student dearched with legs fully extended and the right arm out. With one side of his body catching air and the student slightly on his side the spin developed quickly. Notice when the student RELAXES into an arch, the spin stops, but the student appears to be panicking and starts to flail. Bottom line: to avoid this RELAX and ARCH. -
uhhhh. You may want to think about this. Remember a lawnmower is going to cost a minimum of 10 skydives. And the last thing you need is something to do on Saturday. Just think how much better your yard will look with that "all natural" appeal.

Same here. You need a class 3 to carry tandem passengers. But a class 3 is basically "Are you breathing? Can you see?"
-
when I first started flying my 150, I biffed in twice. The first time, I bounced hard enough to frighten other jumpers who were watching, the second time, I spent a good 10 minutes "gathering my lines". If I had been jumping a 120 instead of a 150, I don't think I would have walked away from either of these f#$% ups. So yes, wing loading saved me.

I thought the tandem manufactures had the right to reposses the rig if it is used in what they thought was an unsafe manner. Is this true?

let me be the first to say ... BEER! PIE!

What are my options for anniversary jump?
JeffGordon replied to RogerRamjet's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
Couple of years ago, we had a (very experenced) jumper come back after a decades long layoff. He just did a coach jump, and picked up from there. Now the bastard is on his head and showing a lot of the young guns how it is done. (Any comments Tom? I know you lurk here.) -
So. How you doing?
