Oh, believe me, you'll hear from at least one of us. If we have to come get you in Canada, it will take up most of the time that we could spend visiting with you, so that's a bunch of no good. As for the rest of you who judge me to be less cute without ever being subjected to my antics, I say your day will come...and your opinions probably won't change. I can try, though. Rosa, it's okay. I'm resilient. And who could get/stay mad at YOU? You're the sweetest of them all.

Holy crap, this "Requiem for a Dream" is a messed-up movie!

That movie is the epitome of the downward spiral. It starts out on that slippery slope and just continues to delve ever deeper into the abyss of addiction. It's an amazingly powerful story. Even the mother, played by an amazingly talented Ellen Burstyn, winds up becoming addicted and spiraling down the drain as well, almost without her knowledge. Cinematically, this move has some of the most amazing sequences I've ever seen, and it all comes together in such a way as to leave you angry that you can't do anything to help the characters out of their various predicaments. I love this movie. Can you tell?
