Don't worry Andy, the only reason I knew it was because I raised a magpie that had fallen out of it's nest, and had to look up all sorts of information to make sure it was able to survive long enough to live his own life. It was tough teaching a bird how to be a bird, but kind of fun too. Edited to add: I'll see if I can drum up the pic I have of him trying to drink out of a beer bottle I was holding. Apparently I'm one of those one in a million types that has an enzyme that breaks down numbing agents rather rapidly, ensuring that I get to feel every skull piercing moment, until they get the good stuff in the long needle and jam it through the hole in my tooth, straight into my brain. Precisely! It behooves us on so many levels to treat others with respect. One of my other co-workers, in defending the "victim" of my frustrations, asked me what harm it did me if this other guy was rude to serving staff. I told him that first and foremost, it offended me the way cursing offends others, and in addition, if the staff gets upset enough at him, they may take it out on all of us (he didn't seem to agree). But that's not the most important reason for being polite and understanding of the people that make our lives easier. Common courtesy and decency apparently aren't all that common.
