Tim Weible wrote the following to tell everyone all about the LFL Boogie this year. I think it pretty much sums it up so far. Feel free to PM me with any questions.

Kapowsin Air Sports and The Leap For Lupus Foundation are combining efforts to give the Northwest Region a Boogie and Records weekend to remember. Call it the Relocation Boogie, call it the Northwest's version of the Convention Boogie, call it whatever you want, but be sure to put it on your things to do this summer. It is going to be very cool and tons of fun.
All contact info will be in one place at the bottom of this.
First, what is Lupus? It is an auto immune system disorder. It affects mostly females, particularly during the child bearing years, and it stays with the individual their entire life. The Leap For Lupus Foundation is a 501-C non-profit organization. It was founded by skydivers. Valinda Mitchell, President, lives with Lupus every day. You might have bought one of her jumpsuits that she custom makes for jumpers. She is a current jumper. Her husband, John, is a Tandemaster, AFF/I, and SL/I, Air Traffic Controller in Seattle, is on the Foundation board, and a record holder. As a matter of fact, that's how they met - he was her skydiving instructor. Billy and Lysa Adams are the secretary and treasurer. Billy is Ex-Special Forces, and they both have lots of jumps.
WHEN: The 2008 Leap For Lupus Boogie and POPS Record will be held on Saturday and Sunday, August 9th & 10th, the second weekend in August 2008.
WHERE: Kapowsin Air Sports in Shelton, Washington. The Farrington's have relocated their entire organization to the Shelton Airport. Take I-5 to exit #104 which is Hwy #101. Go North on Hwy #101 for about 20 minutes, past the Shelton exits and the airport will be on the left hand side of the road on the North end of town. There you will find a real treat for ya. A BRAND NEW 100' x 100' hanger with all the creature amenities, a 5,000 ft. runway, and a 45 year lease. We have indoor packing, two stories of team/debrief/training rooms, a video and music download room, riggers loft, showers, camping, restaurant, and free puppies. Fly-ins are welcome with the tie down area next to the hanger and fuel is available on the airport. If ya get an itch to hit the night life there is a huge casino, buffet and hotel just seven miles away. Olympia is only twenty minutes away for a plethora of hotels and restaurants. There is also a new HUGE family indoor water park with a buffet and hotel forty minutes away in Grand Mound.
AIRCRAFT FLEET: Super Otter, Grand Caravan, Helicopter, Stearman, Citabria (Airbatic spelled backwards), Starduster, C-182, and we're workin' on more. Told ya it was a Northwest Convention.
BOOGIE PACKET: We will be working on more goodies every week. We know there will be all the usual stuff like dinner Saturday night, t-shirts, etc. All the updates will be on the K-Pow and Leap For Lupus Foundation websites as we get closer. MORE TO COME!!!!!!
RECORDS: POPS NORTHWEST RECORD: We are making plans for at least a 39-way, six-way base, three zippers, 4-way lines, and whackers off of those. Otter and caravan for sure so far. Myself, Tim Weible, will be organizing it. I have asked Corey Parker to Captain the trail plane and take charge of the diver sector, and bring a load up from the southern part of our conference. He already has half a plane load committed to the event. We are going to have practice/tryout days, both here at Shelton and at Skydive Oregon, in Mollalla, (SDO). Once the candidate demonstrates his/her skills and proficiency, they will be assigned a slot. Once payment is received you are on the dive. All registration and money issues, current and upcoming information and changes, will be ran through the Kapowsin Air Sports website. If you have questions, comments, or concerns, the answer is in one place - the KAS website. We will try to put as much info as we can on the Leap for Lupus website also. Some participants are using this venue to get on the list for the POPS World Freefall Record 120-way that Carey Peck is organizing in Perris, CA, in October. Participation in one of the five state POPS Records that are being held all across the United States and Canada is a prerequisite to get on The POPS World Freefall Record. Check www.bigways.com, or www.texasstaterecord.com for other state locations.
