How many of you ladies have "rented" yourself?

But she can wear that outfit and shoes again on another date with someone else. We can't get the food and drinks back. Well not in any way they could be used again. Stupidity if left untreated is self-correcting If ya can't be good, look good, if that fails, make 'em laugh. -
response = SSDD, If there wasn't a need for God, He wouldn't exist in our consciousness. Can't help but notice that the little diatribe is full of dogmatic statements for which there is absolutely no proof. atheism is just another belief system where the believer is god. So you're saying there is no point to believe or follow something if you can't prove it? Stupidity if left untreated is self-correcting If ya can't be good, look good, if that fails, make 'em laugh.

150year anniversary of the South's declaration of secession
Bolas replied to SpeedRacer's topic in Speakers Corner
Noone is arguing that, the argument is their motivation to do so. It was was not moral, it was economical or moreso the lack of direct economic impact. At the same time some of the loudest proponents of things used to support and profit off of them. Let's go back the puppy killing analogy. If part of the group that was making good money at it, walked away while still able to make money at it but chose to stop anyways, then started to say puppy killing was wrong and should be banned for all that'd be far less hypocritical. Of course one could also argue that they made their money off it so didn't need it anymore. Anytime someone or a group has a change of heart and suddenly finds morals, one should look into their motivation for this change and their personal impact if changed. A possibility of some Christmas stabbin' going on. (After all, so many candy cane stabbings have happened before. Columbine, for instance.) When Christmas candy is outlawed, only Jews will have candy... or something. Wait til the school admins find out that the students have The Sharpened Pencils of Death. And they can blame TV for it too. http://www.hulu.com/watch/198464/american-dad-for-whom-the-sleigh-bells-tolls?c=1035:1056 Stupidity if left untreated is self-correcting If ya can't be good, look good, if that fails, make 'em laugh.

I suppose that could be argu[email]ed, but only by those who: 1. Believe that paying an extra few pennies (or a couple of $ in today's money) for a shirt is a greater moral outrage than denying the most basic of human rights to many thousands of human beings, and/or 2. Believe that paying a few extra pennies for a shirt is is a greater moral outrage than risking (and ultimately fighting) a war that cost over 600,000 lives, and destroyed the economy of a large chunk of the country, and/or 3. Are just complete fucking self-centered morons. Choose any or all that you think might apply. I'll see your and raise you Don So you don't buy anything from overseas? China and the Middle East definitely qualify within your first two points. Many other countries too. Some just on a different scale. Three is simply subjective. Wow, dude, you really thinking killing puppies is as bad as holding human beings in chattel slavery? Man, I just got to say, that's messed up. I didn't say it was my opinion, but in many people's eyes, yes, it probably is. Think PETA. 150year anniversary of the South's declaration of secession
Bolas replied to SpeedRacer's topic in Speakers Corner
Unlikely. The South was, at the time, economically based on the production of one product, cotton, which was sold to industries in Northern States for processing into finished products. The demand for cotton was strong, and no alternatives were available, so there still would have been a market for cotton even at the higher prices that would have been necessary without slave labor. So if their raw material cotton prices went up, that would have caused prices for finished cotton products in the North to go up. Causing inflation for both economies. So it could be argued that another motivation of seceeding was simply as an inflation control measure for both sides. 150year anniversary of the South's declaration of secession
Bolas replied to SpeedRacer's topic in Speakers Corner
Yes, it would be. It would be much more justifiable if the less-successful puppy killers found ways of doing business so they didn't have to kill many (if any) puppies. Then when they announced that it was bad (which it is) and told everyone it was banned they would be far less hypocritical. Which, of course, is what happened. You said it yourself, They didn't change because they thought it was wrong, they changed because they just weren't as good at it. and GeorgiaDon: The reason I used puppy killers in the analogy was strictly to come up with something just as bad or worse than slavery. No more, no less. Stupidity if left untreated is self-correcting If ya can't be good, look good, if that fails, make 'em laugh. -

So you admit that abolishing slavery would have destroyed the economy of the southern states. That's a start. Another way to look at it: You have a group of people that kill puppies. Everyone is making money. Part of the group is less successful at making money on it, so they do it less and eventually quit and find other ways to make money. Other parts of the group are very successfull at it and make lots of money. A portion of which that is shared among the group. Suddenly, those that weren't very good at making money killing puppies say, "Killing puppies is bad. No one should do it anymore. No one in the group will be allowed to do it, and new members won't even have the option." Even if they're correct, isn't that still hypocritical? You could insert ex-christians, ex-smokers, ex drug addicts, or a bunch of other ex's and it makes even more sense than doing the Michael Vick! Not really as it all depends on why they are "ex." If they quit doing it because they had a change of heart, not hypocritical. If they quit doing it because they couldn't make money doing it or just because they got caught, hypocritical. Then there's the people that do something privately, but speak out against it publicly. HUGE hypocrites. It all boils down to what their motive to change was. Stupidity if left untreated is self-correcting If ya can't be good, look good, if that fails, make 'em laugh. -
Can't dispute the facts can you? It is simply untrue that half the population pays no tax. Tell it to the IRS - they're the ones with the documentation saying that roughly 50% of the country pays no INCOME tax. That *is* the topic under discussion, after all, not your red herring about sales tax. Tell it to Marc Rush. I was disputing HIS statement: "If everyone payed taxes then all would vote to take power away from the money hungry power bastards that are our elected officials." Nothing in there limiting it to income taxes. Maybe you need new reading glasses. Nothing in there stating sales tax, either. Maybe you need a new strawman. Last time I checked, fuel taxes and sales taxes were part of the all inclusive "taxes". Maybe you need a new grammar primer and a lesson in set theory. I'm fine, thanks - unlike yourself, I can comprehend the difference between a FEDERAL income tax and a LOCAL sales tax. Unlike you, I both know the difference AND I know that they are BOTH subsets of the larger set called "taxes". I also know that there is a FEDERAL fuel tax Kelpdiver was simply wrong when he wrote "His statement was about the problem of having about half the population not pay taxes". Rehmwa cleared up the misunderstanding. It's about perception: Being taxed on money you spend versus being taxed on the money you earn. You may be on to something there... Of course it'd have to be PC: Anyone could own anyone else. That is except for white people. They couldn't own but could be owned. Only the Christians, Muslim Whities would be exempt from that rule. That would mean letting white athiests, agnostics, and Jews have slaves. Best to just make white Muslims the only exception. You know, Ive been getting at this for years with my co-workers (all female). To the guy (at first) you invest your money in a dinner maybe a movie then lets say it ends there. Next date, maybe a "romantic" walk with some wine and fun conversation after. Next date, another nice dinner where she's playing with your johnson the whole time after which you go back to your appt and fuck the holy hell out of her. To me, it looks like sex does, in fact, have a price. Some pay it up front, some pay it in installments. Oh, and dont even get me started on expensive jewelry. Chicks pretty much have to blow you like Jenna Jamison if you give them a .25kt rock. Everything is bought and paid for in this game. Weather it be straight up cash, or money and time invested in a "relationship". That's one sure way of not having to worry about dating coworkers. He's totally wrong though. Taxing someone an additional $7500 or any amount changes their spending habits as they have that much less to spend on investments, services, and/or goods. Whether the $$$ is better served for all by the gov't using it, is another story. Enough rich bashing. If the entirety of their focus is simply "the rich don't need it" and they can't or won't explain how they'll use the money to reduce our debt, then they shouldn't get it. What, you got something against thinning the herd? But seriously, I sometimes wonder if some of those 22 people may have let themselves GET in the position of needing an AOD, because they HAVE and AOD....yeah I called it an AOD. It's sad time times when a dropzone mandates an automatic opener to jump there, do you also mandate helmets of a certain type, landing patterns and how about swooping? I mean if you want a warm and fuzzy Nerf world go all the way! When you open your DZ, you can allow anything you want, just as it's his right to do at his DZ. Jump at Skydive Twardo where we all have spiked helmets and use an anvil for our spaceball. Awesome that he is employing those people who provide the materials for the bird, manufacture the bird, maintain the bird and fly the bird and all those who support them.
