Certain GOP congresspersons and talk show hosts have tried to raise a panic over ebola, yet they persistently downplay an issue that is killing far more Americans. Which would you rather be in a room with? 1. A gun. 2. A person with Ebola. Lack of parallelism there. Agreed. Just as comparing statistics of use of a man made tool to those of a virus. "Canopy collisions have killed more people in the U.S. than Ebola" is an accurate statement but so is "There are more M&Ms in the fun size bag than people in the U.S. who died from Ebola."     Aryan Nation is also a religious group. They aren't just using religion as there identifier, it's their motivation tool and funding source. All religion uses the same tactics to control and exploit: something that can't be proved that you just have to have faith in and afterlife punishment and/or reward. The only real difference between a religious terrorist group and organized religion is what they use the above to make their people do.     No. I'm saying that if I were the one from the CDC making the call, I would not have forbidden her from flying with no evidence of infection. Forbidden is one thing. Would you have advised her against flying to see family? What about flying back after her coworker was diagnosed with it? Forbidden or advised?     Did she get separate clearance for both plane trips? If she/cdc did not know of her coworker getting sick before she flew out, but knew before she flew back that elevated temperature should have changed her return travel plans. So you think the fact that the CDC flew people back to the US for treatment and had widely publicized success had no bearing on his decision to come here? Yes, people may risk exposure to get them into isolation, regardless of proper protective clothing or hazmat suits available, but once there and those that were possibly exposed also isolated no one else has to be put at risk.     Bullshit. If the hospital does not provide the proper protective gear AND training, the hospital staff needs to refuse to directly interact with any Ebola patient. Let them buy the gear online or contact local organizations. That should not be the responsibility of each health care worker. Until there is effective treatment, a cure, or even a way to detect the virus prior to contagious stage, full quarantine is all we have, including those working directly with the patients.     Sure we see it here all the time. Somebody craters and we all are implored to give money cause they never bothered to spend money on life and health insurance.     Do you think those that joined up (just for lack of better terms) "illegally" did so because they thought they'd receive amnesty for their actions? I suspect most of the teens and 20 - somethings that do that sort of thing in any generation probably don't give that a lot of advance thought. Irresponsibility of youth. So bad decisions just should be rewarded or forgiven. No consequence for ones own voluntary actions. If someone chooses to do something just because to them they think it's "right" why must their government agree with them? We're not talking about just joining a protest in their current country, traveling to another country takes some sort of plans and thought.     Might need to kill the others then. You mean the US citizens that were diagnosed prior to entering the country so precautions were made and treatment started upon arrival?     While unfortunate for his family, had he survived many more may have selfishly tried what he did putting untold others at risk. News of his death should be spread far and wide in Liberia and other African countries that breaking the laws, health procedures, and quarantines to get to the U.S. does not save you. If one chooses to travel to a foreign/home country to join the fight against "x" they should do so without expecting amnesty for their actions from their current country. Hence my interest in his relationship to the pregnant woman and when the ticket was purchased.
