    You bet! You're Friday morning will start with the traditional pre-long-drive announcement. "OK, we're ready to go. Everybody pee!" And we are bringing bottles for the road right? It'll be fun, we'll start the frikkin' boogie footage in San Carlos, then off to SF and then to the Deucemaster's house.. From there on: ROADTRIP style baby! Iwan

    Hmm.. I think for a lot of people, that's exactly why they are not using the small automatic cameras. They like to work with the settings and at least set the camera up somewhat manually. I think the reason for SLR is speed and versatility, a lot of SLR cameras are way faster than any compact camera. Also, you can put different lenses on them for different purposes. There are numerous reasons why, pretty much anyone that's a little serious about photography goes with an SLR. Iwan

    Yep, on California Ave in Palo Alto. I went there for the first time a couple of weeks ago, it's a fun place! We should organize a big one for somewhere in January, get together and party! Iwan

    0:4:1 1 jump in good ol' Hollister, but got weathered out on Saturday. 3 nice 206 loads in Monterey today, not enough people to make the Otter fly. and the 1... well.. 1st jump on my new rig!! (Do I hear the B word?) Well, we took care of that, went out to dinner with NoShitThereIwas, Jsaxton and a couple of locals from M-Bay.. very nice weekend! Iwan

    that is a little late. The outbound flight is no problem to find a cheap one I am sure, but I think the return flight will be tough to find cheap. Make sure to include a saturday night in your stay, it makes the flight cheaper. So try the 4th to come back. Iwan

No boogie this time, we're just gonna have our own aircraft back, and I think this is the one weekend of this month that the jumps are going to be 15 bucks!! (this was planned all the time, but because we had "special" aircraft all month.. it didn't happen) Iwan

    I would recommend shooting with the camera around the house before sticking it on your head. What good is it going to do if your pictures don't come out? They don't have to be perfect of course, but I would recommend playing with it, read the manual (and these forums) and take lots of pictures and see how they come out. Just my 2 cts.. I think I took close to 200 pics with it before putting it on my helmet, even though I used to shoot film before that. You want to know your equipment before taking it up there. Iwan

    You really don't have to be.. Even though Eloy is a huge DZ, the vibe there is great. There's the big advantage that there are going to be a lot of dz.com people, but even if they are not there you will have a blast. I went there for Valentine's meet in 2000 all by myself, I think I made 1 solo jump, and then got pulled into organized loads, BECAUSE I was by myself! You'll have an awesome time, Eloy is a very friendly dz and the people there will take care of you, you won't be by yourself Iwan

    OMG! How does this work? Please explain. Also, what altitude does he generally let people begin to jump? 4 people leave, track away from the balloon.. the second 4 wait for a bit and then jump as well! Iwan
