I have some spare time now to PW, but dunno what to say. They stole my staple remover (or someone borrowed it without returning it) so I can't play with it. Ah well.. I'll just see if I can keep up with the posts in here.. Iwan

The 18mm will work just fine, people are jumping it that way, it's just a little longer (compare to a 30mm lens on a 35mm camera or so) When I used to jump my .5 with the 28mm on my film rebel it worked just fine as well. I just like the fixed lenses a lot better. Iwan

Cash or plastic.. whatever you want, but it doesn't come with the Rebel. The rebel comes with a 18-55mm lens, which is Ok, but not the best lens out there. Go with fixed, you will not regret it. I got mine off Amazon, no sales tax, no shipping for $399 Iwan

Um.. work.. part-time jobs when I was in university to make some money to jump once in a while to stay current. After I graduated my current fulltime job pays for my jumps and I am jumping all the time now! Iwan -

He did, but because he has his own business it doesn't really leave enough time to jump a lot, so I got quite a bit ahead in jumpnumbers.. but that doesn't matter, he still jumps!! Iwan

The problem with the cheaper cameras is that you don't have a remote shutter release on them. And if you have to be worried about losing your cameras, you shouldn't bring them with you on a skydive. I invested quite some money in my camera setup, but if it has to go, it goes.. Thanks, Iwan

Hmm.. I see a pattern in here.. most of us are going to spend it on... skydiving! It's going into my savings for a while, it will probably be spent over the year on different events or skydiving gear... I started off with buying a flash for my still camera.... Iwan -
