I need a watch. There is no scenery here, so there's nothing to miss.

In which setting was this? Oh yeah...and....DAMN!! JumpinDuo.com...come and sign the guestbook.

You're right, Lisa...but I think it was just said to be registered and have made one post. I don't think that is enough, personally. Just think since this is about the dz.commers, should try to keep it between us (and those coming up the ranks). Again....my .02. JumpinDuo.com...come and sign the guestbook.

My wife and I both bought new Wings containers and they are wonderful. Have had no problems at all and the reserve and main flap stays shut as is expected. You will love it man!! JumpinDuo.com...come and sign the guestbook.

Yeah, I think there should be a "participation" stipulation for all participants. If they register the day before and post one post the morning of, they aren't really a "dz.commer member". They are more like a "tourist". See what I'm saying? I think there should be some real participants since that is the whole point. Not to see how big of a formation you can build with people who know how to register themselves on a public forum. Just my .02. JumpinDuo.com...come and sign the guestbook.

Did you happen to call before driving all the way there? LOL!! JumpinDuo.com...come and sign the guestbook.

Probably that her date took her to Taco Bell. No place better to show your tits than there. JumpinDuo.com...come and sign the guestbook.

If I remember correctly, I just noted your lack thereof. I didn't say anything about mine. JumpinDuo.com...come and sign the guestbook.

I just finally started reading the "Texas rally up" thread and saw Phree say "They need to have posted, not just register" and it made me think. *uh oh* Anyway, should you make some rules for it to be that? I mean, maybe have made a certain number of posts (enthusiast maybe) and/or have posted a certain number of events and/or classified ads if they are non-posters, but still dz.commers. Just a thought. Seems anyone could register and make one post. That is just too easy.

Would you promise to actually use punctuation and capital letters? And, I have not had to resign-in for ages on my computer. Perhaps it is because I get on the site about 10X per day. If not, mine works great. And Sangiro....keep up the good work. I think the stuff on the front page isn't that old. I could've sworn you changed it less than 2 weeks ago. Hell, I figure that if it is updated once per month, that is good enough for me. There doesn't seem to be enough stuff happening to do it TOO often. Yea, DZ.com!! Good question, Marcus. I just said that those countries are awesome and I would love to live there. 'Nuff said. JumpinDuo.com...come and sign the guestbook.

Yeah, I need to go back to bed too. I slept from 12-3:30 and woke up. What the hell?? I need to get back to bed so I have packing energy tomorrow. Night! JumpinDuo.com...come and sign the guestbook.

Well, I got the video when I did my tandem at SGC and I thought that the video was excellent. It was done by Mike Ashley. It started with some shots of different things in the club house that was skydiving related. There was the company banner, a couple of pictures hanging on the wall, and various other things. Then, it went into Laura and I getting our harnesses on. If you have the chance, you can kinda get the interview on there and some of your TM. Mine was Treeboy, so that was cool to get his "interview" on there. After that, it was the "danger: prop (with head blow)" sign and then us walking to the CASA and getting in. He then videoed the take-off and also some of us in the plane. He did the altimeter up in certainly increments of 4,6,8 and 10k. I think he should have done the final one (13k) so that you knew and the viewers knew how high you are. Maybe one last shot of alti as you were all standing up to go. He kinda put himself on the side and in front of the tandems to film the experienced people. Then, we taped Laura go out and fall away and then filmed us as we went out. He put the exit and then some of the close-ups in slo-mo and the rest in real time. He got the opening, his opening and some of him flying canopy and landing. Then, he got both of us landing and then had a very short interview at the end. After the end, he put the "uncut" freefall on the tape. No music, no special FX. As far as music, he used AC/DC and some other pretty regular stuff. I really liked the music choice. Now, every time I hear those songs, I think of that tandem skydive. I have seen some tandem videos where I didn't like the music AT ALL. Good luck with it Phree. JumpinDuo.com...come and sign the guestbook.

Just to let you know, here in the mid-West United States (Ohio), it is going to be 54 tomorrow with mostly sunny skies. Just thought I would let you know.

Any word if SA is MFN? If not, I think they would either have a hard time selling canopies to the USA or they are made for WAY cheap. JumpinDuo.com...come and sign the guestbook.

No man. I've been to Norway, Sweden, Denmark and Finland, and they are all awesome. Maybe I'll go to Sweden and stay with my buddy who lives 20 min from a DZ. Hmm..... JumpinDuo.com...come and sign the guestbook.

You know that this country is going to shit, right? Ok, just making sure. *rolles eyes* I am going to be entering this type of realm by being a teacher. Oh well, I hope that I dont have to use an eraser, because I could throw that at someone and give them brain injuries. *sigh* This country is going to hell. I'm moving to Europe. JumpinDuo.com...come and sign the guestbook.

Yeah...this is what I'm talking about. If stuff is ordered from Ohio, I would just have it shipped to the DZ or something. Saves you some big bucks if you buy something expensive. What are you refering to, Lisa?!?

There ya go!! ------------------------------ ***Thread closed due to good thinking.***

Actually, when you buy in the states but out of your own, you don't have to pay the state taxes (6-7% or so). Right? Or is that just a figment of my imagination? JumpinDuo.com...come and sign the guestbook.

What? I didn't say anything. I was whistling. Didn't you hear me?
-
I didn't hear the town say anything. I didn't know towns talked. Humph. Either way, I'm glad I'm part of the USA that did NOT want to be its own country. That is patriotism. JumpinDuo.com...come and sign the guestbook.

*whistling*Unless it's a gift and they'll send it that way. *whistling*

Yeah...I have a ski/hiking watch from Avocet that does alti/barometer/temp/etc. It changes pretty damn slow though. Also, it is not AGL altitudes. It is set-up to show the altitude above sea-level. If I were you, I would just buy another good G-shock, but something that isn't real big. You don't want it to get in the way of your altimeter, you dont want to hit someone with it, and you certainly don't want something else happening to it or yourself. But think about it, do you really need a watch at the DZ? Hell you go there and you stop jumping when the sun goes down (most of the time). Then, you just put your Rolex back on. Good luck! (I need a new watch for play as well. My Avocet's battery died and I think it's too big.) JumpinDuo.com...come and sign the guestbook.
