Hey Blue....what happened to your leg? I must've missed it while I was gone. Looks nasty though, dude!! JumpinDuo.com...come and sign the guestbook.

When Jari was at the Richmond Boogie, he had the sign up that said you needed at least 200 jumps within the past 12 months. Good luck!! JumpinDuo.com...come and sign the guestbook.

Both are easily remedied by being at the DZ all the time and being in the Bahamas. You'd get over it....quick.

If I had to explain it, here is the best I can do (typing): Do everything PRO pack style until you go to lay it on the ground. When you go to lay it down, you need to grab it by the lines and then on the bottom part. Pull it nice and tight and then flip it over and lay it upside-down so the open part is up. When you get that done, get the material down how you want it (nose mods). Grab the two corners closest to you (from a triangle shape) and over lap them pulling them all the way to the sides. This will make the shape the same, but thinner. So, one flap will be under the other. When you do this, get the air out and then fold on side over the middle in thirds so that all 3 parts are in the middle (like folding a letter to put in an envelope). After that, I get on top of mine after pushing most of the air out. I am actually sitting on it facing the side and then I pull the bridle out to the side. I spread my legs out towards the open edges and that pushes all the air out and doesn't allow any to get in. Then, I grab the stuff sticking out and start rolling. When I get to my first leg, I get that one up and keep rolling and then do the same when I get to the second and then finally to where the lines are inside of it. I put the bag on (upside-down, of course) and then flip it back over. Now, you continue stowing lines and you're done. I find this much easier because you dont have to worry about putting exact pressure on the entire thing and not have it squish out and everything. It makes it SO much easier. Good luck!!!

Excellent jump, non-Texan record holders! Great video, Paul! Thanks, HH!

Where are the alternatives to Pro packing???
mountainman replied to PhillyKev's topic in Gear and Rigging
When I do the psycho pack, it is defenetely a roll and not a fold. I have both knees on it when I start to roll and go right up to the lines. Psycho = roll -
Can someone point me to some more info about this? I have read stuff about it, but don't really understand what it is. All I know is that they are some freefly license (A-D?). Thanks! JumpinDuo.com...come and sign the guestbook.

Skymama.....sorry to tell you, but they don't do that anymore. When we were at Space Center (where they do them), they said they don't do that anymore since 9.11. Doh!! JumpinDuo.com...come and sign the guestbook.

All I gotta say is PSYCHO PACK. It makes packing a brand new canopy SO easy. Ours only have 9 jumps, but they are real easy to pack that way. JumpinDuo.com...come and sign the guestbook.

I think you SHOULD take the English classes. *hint hint* JumpinDuo.com...come and sign the guestbook.

New design of Wings cordura BOC pouch...
mountainman replied to PhillyKev's topic in Gear and Rigging
Dont get me wrong Kev. It does NOT seem to be a problem once I stuff it in there good. Also, the Spandex is strechy, but the Cordura is not. I think that may be why it works better. Just my .02. JumpinDuo.com...come and sign the guestbook. -
I'm with Iflyme...Laura and I just got some RW suits from Tad's and they are very well made. They are certainly a lot of suit for the buck. Some of the jumpers at our DZ are suprised they were from Aus. A few thought they were Tony. BTW, Pammi and Merrick LOVE their freefly suits. I have heard nothing but good about them. Chuck....what types of shades do you find work the best? I would like to go from goggles to shades, but don't know what I need. Thanks bro! JumpinDuo.com...come and sign the guestbook.

Yo Roy......I think that Laura and I will bring our rigs on Saturday. You can try them both on if you want. They are two sizes (obviously). I am 5'10" - 220 and she is like 5'6" - 135 or so. So, you can see how they fit and at least get a feel. Let me know. We LOVE them. JumpinDuo.com...come and sign the guestbook.

New design of Wings cordura BOC pouch...
mountainman replied to PhillyKev's topic in Gear and Rigging
Laura and I both have Spandex pouches on our Wings containers and they are very small also. I usually just push the PC up in there until it doesn't leak out, but it is pretty annoying still. Wish they were a bit longer so the PC fit better. JumpinDuo.com...come and sign the guestbook. -
Do you mind me asking why you are rigless? JumpinDuo.com...come and sign the guestbook.

My brother-in-law said that he did a tandem and I never really heard about skydiving before. A few months later we jumped and more months after that we were doing AFF. And here I am... JumpinDuo.com...come and sign the guestbook.

After a little research, I have found that it IS in fact in Norway. I think that it is up in the middle section. I went through there in 1998 when I was in Europe for a six week trip. Here is the website where you can get a "postcard from Hell": http://www.gonorway.no/hell/. That was pretty weird going through there. It was a pretty small town. Thanks for stirring the memories. Heh heh heh... JumpinDuo.com...come and sign the guestbook.

Haeloth - where is Hell? I have been there, but I forget the state. Seems that is was either in Colorado or Norway. I swear that I saw that exact postcard that you posted. Great!! JumpinDuo.com...come and sign the guestbook.

Good luck dude. I hope it's better there than this part of Ohio. It is supposed to rain here in the Lima area. Hope you get to jump! I think we're headed to Safety Day at our DZ. Chao. JumpinDuo.com...come and sign the guestbook.

I see what all of you are saying. It seems that the biggest problem then if someone gets by is that the cockpit is taken over. What needs to happen? Are those "fortified doors" enough? Do you think that pilots should carry guns and/or other weapons in the cockpit and not be afraid to use them? I love to hear your opinions. They are absolutely mind expanding. Thanks!
