    LEMONS!

what kind of car?? specs? MORE SKYDIVING PHOTOS ADDED!!! http://home.woh.rr.com/brandonandlaura/
  2. Man...I've heard this a lot in the past year. I got into learning about skydiving last Sept, took a tandem in Oct, and here we are now. Since then, I've asked so many to go with me, most of them are the ones who this this. BUUT....of course their answer to that is always the same. However, my wife can't avoid my questions since I pestered her about skydiving practically 10 times per day. Hey...whatever works! 3. The birdsuit sounds AWESOME! There was a guy at Aerodrome on Saturday jumping the birdsuit all day. He said he just flew back and forth over the DZ. Sounds like a lot of fun! Also, I hear you can pull much lower. Is that true?? Also, before pulling, should you do a barrelroll to eliminate some "burble"?? Just wonderin... Sounds awesome, though!!
  4. How do you get a hotdog to roll?? Put it on a hill. MORE SKYDIVING PHOTOS ADDED!!! http://home.woh.rr.com/brandonandlaura/
  5. That is pretty sweet!! What is your home DZ, slut? MORE SKYDIVING PHOTOS ADDED!!! http://home.woh.rr.com/brandonandlaura/
  6. That is really cool all! I guess if my dad and bro start jumping, it will be me, my wife, my dad and my brother (and cousin). I think that a strong relationship with family is important, and what better way to build that than spend the day at the DZ jumping out of planes together?? Going to grandpa's and listen to her talk about foot fungus or sore joints?? NO!
  7. I am wondering who jumps with their immediate family. My dad is going to do a tandem (which I think will turn into more) and my brother (16 yrs old) is going to start S/L this summer. Just wondering how this has affected your relationship. I think that it would be pretty sweet! Freefly with bro and dad. Thanks all!
  8. Haha...that's cool! Yeah...I definetely didn't understand what was going on, so I owe beer for the "Helen Keller" award on the first game. 4th game brough me 9/10. Yeah!! MORE SKYDIVING PHOTOS ADDED!!! http://home.woh.rr.com/brandonandlaura/
  9. I believe that the "Army of One" is their new marketing slogan. It's been on all the commercials showing these little life stories of homegrown boys going to the Army as their own little "army of one". As far as the letter goes, what would happen if EVERYONE showed up for it!
  10. Have you been in one of the cars (US cruiser) before?? I witnessed an accident a couple months ago and sat in one while filling out a report. They have SO MUCH crap in there that they almost NEED the big car. They have computers, video cameras, radar guns, etc, etc, etc.... I have been to Europe twice and have seen them in the much smaller cars. True that the sirens sound pretty "wussy"...(WEE-UU WEE-UU WEE-UU), but they don't seem to have much problems because you don't have the SUVs and such there. I spent time in Trondheim and Olso, Norway; Copenhagen, Denmark; Malmo and Stockholm, Sweden; and Helsinki, Finland. Most places had the little cars or the mini-vans. I guess I'm just saying that the cops here almost need the big cars for all of their crap, but I've seen the cops with Luminas do just fine. All in all, I think it's the C.O.P.S. theory!! 11. And with that prof who quit skydiving, he talks about how he misses it, but won't go back. He is hopeing to do some wind tunnel stuff sometime instead. He is a really cool guy and never talks down to me for skydiving or anything. We are always talking about it and he always tells me all of his old stories. He learned to skydive in like Grenada or something and then became the paratroop trainer and so forth. He has some VERY cool stories. 12. I guess by Bill Gates, I'm talking about the guy who everyone associates with MS. That is UNdisputable...well, unless you dispute it.
  13. Man...I can't even write fast enough to keep up with this thread!
  14. Hear hear! They got mine too. One reason is because they aren't tree huggers like Nad-er and Bore. Those two guys would outlaw skydiving faster than you can say "jumprun". I pretty much like things the way they are, and it seemed like those two coots wanted to screw it all up! Man...if I was Bill Gates (or at least had a joint bank account with him), I would certainly have an arsenal of heavy weapons. What better way to spend a rainy day home from the DZ than going outside and emptying a few magazines from my AR-18?? I guess cloud9 is just looking at who seems to own THE WHOLE COMPANY. Everyone knows Bill Gates is the brains behind MS and is one rich bastard. However, I couldn't name one person that works for GM and no one else in this room does either. They go through head honchos (no offense, Jefe) like Liz Taylor goes through husbands. And what's up with the Nike thing?!?!? MORE SKYDIVING PHOTOS ADDED!!! http://home.woh.rr.com/brandonandlaura/
  15. Is this really the point? That is good that you get to jump a bird that has a lower fuel consumption. But, when you go to a DZ that only has a "for sure" Beech 18 and some Cessna's, you can't really help the high burn. I don't wanna start a flame war here, because I'm the one who doesn't think twice when doing something regarding fuel because there isn't really any other alternatives (and NOT skydiving is NOT an alternative
  16. Exactly my point, what42. A Spanish prof of mine used to be a skydiver (D-license with about 500 jumps). He now does not do it because of the pollution and is an avid Nad-er supporter. Those planes use A LOT of fuel and, in some cases, a LOT of oil. The ol Beech 18's are oil AND gas hogs. But they're pretty awesome!!
  17. Hey Jaybird...I'm gonna be too much help, but if you need some practice when you start flying, I'm willing to be your subject. Maybe some freefly camera work?? I'd be willing to pay for some of the jump for each one. RICHMOND BOOGIE!!! MORE SKYDIVING PHOTOS ADDED!!! http://home.woh.rr.com/brandonandlaura/
  18. BUHAHAHAHA!!! Maybe not. He would've outlawed skydiving because it caused pollution. He would've passed a law for us to come up with a pedal-powered airplane. He came to speak at our college two weeks ago. I'm not how well BOTH PEOPLE who watched him liked it.
  19. Nuff said. MORE SKYDIVING PHOTOS ADDED!!! http://home.woh.rr.com/brandonandlaura/
  20. Hey Jaybird...I will certainly try to have stuff done to do so. That would be really awesome!! If not though, I'll certainly be down there working it. Either way, I'll be in Richmond those days. I'll see you towards the end of June!
  21. that's for sure, monk. Manifest did a great job organizing everyone and getting them all their vids taken. It is hard to do that many vids with not many guys to do it. Hey...if they'd ask, I would've strapped one to my head and jumped.

    Too Funny!

That sounds pretty awesome!! And the rocket-thingy sounds cool too.
  23. I have contemplated this, but it just not realistic in the States. Our cities, roads, and traffic just are not set-up for non-motorist commuters. I have been to Europe twice (a total of 2.5 months) and LOVED being able to walk everywhere and use public transport. I wish USA would get a clue and start doing this more. I JUST sold my '99 Jeep Wrangler and am going to buy an Accord or something similar. Both to have $$$ for skydiving and use less gasoline. As far as buying from the certain stations, I don't see that affecting much. We just need to start using less. MORE SKYDIVING PHOTOS ADDED!!! http://home.woh.rr.com/brandonandlaura/
  24. Good advice, Pyke!!
