  1. The phoenix fly logo on that shirt almost looks like a reindeer flying to the left... www.WingsuitPhotos.com
  2. No matter how many spars you add to a wing, even if you make that wing out of solid titanium or some other magic pixie material... the load will STILL be carried to the body through your shoulders. www.WingsuitPhotos.com
  3. I believe we refer to those as "flying vagina" formations Yeh and the one in Puerto Rico this year was actually supposed to be a ring... again the top guy was just so far away he was out of frame in the video. The person flying through the ring is referred to as the penetrator. www.WingsuitPhotos.com
  4. same for me Now imagine a "hollow circle" formation, like a human hoola-hoop Actually my fav part is at 1:19 when Justin (red guy) gets frustrated after repeatedly floating up every time he reaches for a dock, so he shakes his head and flaps his wings in frustration as he drifts out of the frame... As far as your human hoop though, we've done that before at Zhills several times... Scott always calls it the flying vagina. The ring is never usually tight enough though (there's a joke there somewhere). Watch this one from 3:05-3:35: three of us fly through, first Omar doing 1.5 barrel rolls, then Chuck Blue doing a fucked up half flip half twist, the me nearly running into Chuck... and all 3 camera angles are there. Also at 5:01-5:07 on the same video I fly across the top of an "X" (double V) and a guy to my left drops out of his slot which I have to avoid, and I come so close to the guy on my right that I scraped my hand across something on him or his gear and cut myself somehow (you can see his hand in frame at 5:04)... he never even felt it he said. I know I have footage of some others but I can't find them. It would be awesome with a tighter ring like this, and I know other tighter formations have been done this year too. www.WingsuitPhotos.com
  5. I think he might have been a local, I forget his name but I remember his face. www.WingsuitPhotos.com
  6. Good question. Still deciding I guess. Long flight from CA. But the warm weather is even more appealing now. That sucks... you had some nice photos for sure. Weird, I thought iPhone could handle flash? My older Android phone can't either... but I mainly do it this way so I can fully embed it in my site without relying on Youtube or any other service. Watch it on a real PC, on a big screen. www.WingsuitPhotos.com
  7. Nine months later! (That means if you got pregnant at this boogie, your baby is probably due by now). It's been a busy spring, summer, and fall for me... but now that the slow winter is here, I finally got around to editing this together. Makes me miss the sunshine and warm weather for sure... 8. Based on the second sentence of the OP, I was able to find this. CLICK Looks pretty freaking cool. www.WingsuitPhotos.com
  9. Yet? Don't think one could ever fly relative next to a downplane. Unless he bent his knees as much as the flock-haters seem to think we do. www.WingsuitPhotos.com
  10. Depends what your final goal is. But 2-ways can't hurt... 2-ways with a good flyer who will push you. www.WingsuitPhotos.com
  11. I carry every single thing I need to skydive: Rig 2 Wingsuits Altimeter, Goggles, sometimes float gear (depending where I'm going... don't try to carry on the CO2 cartridge) Logbook Camera Helmet (not EVER letting my self-built CCM get checked ) 2 Cameras Laptop It is pretty damn complicated to make all of this fit in a roller and a backpack... but it's possible. ;-) I have enough room left over for mp3 player, good headphones, and a book or two and some food. www.WingsuitPhotos.com
  12. The real problem is the angle between his body and the horizon. The angle between the lines and his body is just a symptom. I took a girl on a FJC once and she literally did a front flip every time she tried to pull. I was scared shitless for her, fortunately on the 2nd try she got her stuff out and was ok. Even the experienced guys that pull in full flight have their stuff come pretty damn close to their feet IMO. Just ONE of the reasons I sink out my deployments. And I tell my students... knee bones and ankle bones TOUCHING until you are seated and stowing your slider. Not only keeps you head high... keeps you even in the harness for on-heading deployment. www.WingsuitPhotos.com

    One year

It's happened to me, too. Steve, get some shoes you hippie, wherever you are. www.WingsuitPhotos.com
  14. True, but to play devil's advocate, a "normal" person could pick up a cheap camera and take a fantastic shot, but he probably could not pick up a cheap guitar and play a crazy solo. Though, he might be able to write a catchy melody, which I guess is a fair comparison. Again though, I have heard from the few professional photographers I've met that cheap cameras and micro stock photography sites are making the business a lot more difficult... www.WingsuitPhotos.com
  15. It's true. I've lived here for 3 months, and the other day I walked by a girl smoking on a patio outside of a restaurant, and was confused by the smell. I think it was the first time I've smelled it since living here. www.WingsuitPhotos.com
  16. Do something about the wing loading? Two options, very simple - not rocket science. You either decrease the load, or increase the wing. Decrease the load? Drop your body weight to a quarter of what it is? Not gonna happen. Increase the wing? Sure, make it 20ft wide. At that point though, can you call it a suit any more? A suit is something that a human wears. Nobody wears anything that is 20ft long in any dimension. www.WingsuitPhotos.com
  17. Literally exactly what I looked like at 16. Except I did my tabletops to the other side. Strange, that he rides left foot forward and tables to the left. www.WingsuitPhotos.com
  18. Wow, what a nice list of people so far. I missed last year, for the first time ever. I will have to try and make this one... it is a long flight from Cali! www.WingsuitPhotos.com
  19. Yeah, I'd forgotten about ReadyBoost. Not as good as real RAM, but better than nothing I guess. Still, for the OP, the 4GB RAM in his lappy should be way more than enough for web browsing. www.WingsuitPhotos.com
  20. It doesn't work like that. USB storage is very different from RAM. The only way to increase RAM is to add RAM. The only thing a 4GB USB stick is good for is storing 4GB of documents. It doesn't affect system performance. www.WingsuitPhotos.com
  21. I've never used an ASUS lappy, but I've used their mobos and other hardware and they have an excellent reputation. If you have the Win7 key for your machine (should be printed on bottom), you can probably install from any disc and use that key. You can get a Win7 CD practically anywhere, pretty sure you can even get ISO from MS website. You could also install XP. 32-bit OS on 64-bit hardware is no problem. What are the specs? How full is your hard drive? The things you say about streaming video and internet temp files don't quite add up... www.WingsuitPhotos.com
  22. Yes, with the right ramp/cone, you could do a cannonball and land in it. www.WingsuitPhotos.com
  23. You're comparing flat ground (i.e. the planet we all walk around on) to a $6M contraption? www.WingsuitPhotos.com
  24. Ah, ok I get it now. Nothing wrong with accepting the checks then. Just don't send a refund from an uncleared check. Common sense (or should be)? www.WingsuitPhotos.com
