The new Doves CD is pretty good, but I think their last one was better. Depending on your circle of influence, these bands may seem obscure or not: Porcupine Tree Patrick Wolf Bright Eyes Anathema ...And You Will Know Us By the Trail of Dead (new album rocks) Lou Barlow (ex-member of Dinosaur Jr, frontman for Sebadoh and the Folk Implosion, one of the most prolific songwriters of the 90's and he just now realeased his "solo" debut... worth listening to alone for his acoustic cover of RATT'S Round and Round) Josh Rouse Death Cab For Cutie and many more... www.WingsuitPhotos.com

I wasn't implying it had to do with the jumpers or their "names", just that it seemed to me in the past that I had seen more positive comments toward this stuff. And I do remember Yuri saying his low pull was unintentional, but I also seem to remember he pointed that out AFTER several people said "awesome!". It's a weird situation I guess because based on our nature (as jumpers, no I'm not BASE yet), we like to see hardcore stuff and like to think "awesome!" in our heads based on how cool it looks, even if we might be yelling "dumbass!" based on how close to death we know the jumper came... www.WingsuitPhotos.com

What's funny is that I've seen videos of Dwain, Yuri, and Pecnik all with shorter canopy rides than this one (and all from WS flights too), and in the threads where I found those videos the comments were all unanimously positive toward the low-pullers. www.WingsuitPhotos.com

If the tandem was sensory overload for her, I don't see how any other way would have been better. I went straight to AFF and have never done a tandem. I don't really see how tandem can do anything but add to the participants in our sport. I guess if it didn't exist, the "one time thrill seekers" would be forced to do an AFF L1 and then quit, but not everyone would do that, so I think we'd have less jumpers overall (both one-timers and extended participants). www.WingsuitPhotos.com

I was gonna point out the same thing, Scott. Look at Mike's (purple S3, to Bill's left) legs compared to Bill's. Mike's a light guy in an S3 and his legs look even more bent than the V-1 guys to me. Bill was definitely flying his suit! www.WingsuitPhotos.com
