That is just sick. What's your height/weight, if you don't mind me asking? www.WingsuitPhotos.com

Ok, this story scares me. I jump hackey with my WS, as do many flockers I know. Here's a question. Reading Robert's description about the "PC dance"... if this phenomenon is true, why isn't it a risk with normal freefall too? When I deploy in a WS, I collapse all wings and try to sink out to a somewhat normal freefall (as much as possible). I wouldn't think my hackey/PC respond to the relative wind any different in this situation than they do in a normal freefall deployment. Then again, I still do get linetwists a little more often then I'd like (1/5 times maybe?), even when I seem to have perfect body position, so maybe my hackey or bag is doing a bit of dancing up there. www.WingsuitPhotos.com

I'm not sure if that's a joke or not. www.WingsuitPhotos.com

Was waiting for this one... I was gonna have to say it if nobody else did. Good choice. Also, Led Zep - Thank You. www.WingsuitPhotos.com

Is it something about the WS event @ DeLand? If so, and if they have a picture showing the jump, then there are many more to add to your list (including me!). www.WingsuitPhotos.com

I really doubt anyone is just in skydiving for the money (except for say, something like Skyride). A long-time instructor may have lost his focus and not let his passion for the sport shine through enough, but if he didn't love skydiving in the first place, he wouldn't be there. Anyone who is getting paid is "doing it for money", no doubt about it. There is a difference between that phrase and the phrase "doing it JUST for the money". Those who do it for money also do it for other reasons, but as I said above, perhaps some of them lose focus sometimes and don't make their other reasons clear enough. Again, I doubt any paid skydiver, no matter how pro/skygod, does it *JUST* for the money. www.WingsuitPhotos.com

The Feb issue? I didn't see that in there, what am I overlooking? www.WingsuitPhotos.com

That's what I did with my GTi (fly with my butt). On the S3 I'm still learning what works. I'll have 10 perfect openings and then 3 in a row with linetwists. Still figuring it out and trying different things (within reason).

I'm not sure exactly how I get the risers in my hands. I think there is some glitch where, as I get swung forward, there is a split second where I have a better chance at grabbing them (due to body position and risers being slightly slack maybe) than if I just reached up from a fully seated static position. If that makes any sense. I am guessing I couldn't make a turn since I don't grab rears, I grab "everything" just above the 3 rings. And like I said, I think I can only make this grab at a certain point during deployment, after that I let go to unzip, then I can either grab rears to turn or the "whole risers" again to undo twists. I'm honestly not sure if I could make a turn, since I just grab them during deployment (not the best grab possible, but not just a touch either) and let go after full inflation. I don't think I could probably make a turn, or even undo twists as I said earlier, but it does feel like it makes the deployment more controllable to a small degree, and definitely more comfortable. Sometimes if I slip and grab the wrong way though, it seems to induce twists. On my GTi it always was worse if I reached up... on my S3 I seem to have a good success rate. This could be totally coincidental or based on one of a million other variables... www.WingsuitPhotos.com

I can get both risers on my S3 almost every time. I made a post about it on here recently... It's still not quite the same as having full use of my arms though. I don't have enough control of the risers to actually get multiple linetwists undone once they've formed (for that I unzip) but being able to hold them during deployment is a comfort thing and also helps prevent twists... www.WingsuitPhotos.com

He made a skydive, didn't he? The definition of a skydive is jumping out of an airplane and deploying a parachute, right? If bad landings make it not a skydive, then no skydiver has ever been hurt on landing. Think about that one! www.WingsuitPhotos.com

What's the story here... what happened with his reserve? Appears to be a baglock but I didn't realize that could happen with a reserve. I mean, sure, anything is possible... but I'm not sure how that could happen... www.WingsuitPhotos.com

Ok, I was browing through some old threads tonight and somehow found this... does anyone know where this video can be found? I'm interested... Hi Aubrey.

MARCO ISLAND B@@GIE IS CANCELLED 2,15pm thursday
The111 replied to judedre's topic in Events & Places to Jump
Out of curiosity... have you or Bolas or anyone else been to the Marathon boogies AND this one? How did the MI beach landing area compare to the beach we landed on in Marathon. I had just about 220 jumps then and did one beach landing, and even though I nailed it right in the middle of the LZ, I'll admit it looked a little bit small coming in and was definitely way tighter than anything else I've ever done... www.WingsuitPhotos.com -
Hopefully some left over for you... www.WingsuitPhotos.com

Do you? I could care less about wingsuit brandwars, but I am curious who you are. Your posts all seem very pro-BM, especially the comment about Blade being a Vampire-killer "like the movie". Very clever name if it's true, but also promotes the brandwar if it's true... www.WingsuitPhotos.com

I am not by any means giving advice (and if I were to give advice I'd say DON'T use a pullout), but I know of at least one person who does (or did) use one successfully for many jumps. I don't know all the details though and WOULDN'T RECOMMEND IT. Also, I jumped a GTI on my 2nd jump and know many jumpers who use it on their 1st jump. Very experienced skydivers (1000's of jumps) sometimes even jump S3's on their first jump. Classic is still the best choice. www.WingsuitPhotos.com
