What's a "wingsuit ratio"? Jeff probably does own 7 wingsuits for every 1 you own. www.WingsuitPhotos.com

On the contrary. Sappy songs about sex and cheating Bland accounts of two lovers meeting Make me want to give mankind a beating Although she does change the lyric up for "makes me want to give myself a beating" at the end of the song. www.WingsuitPhotos.com

I've been at boogies before where they take the plane 3 miles upwind and a flock tries to cross-country it back to the DZ. Many people struggle to make that distance, with the wind helping them. Many people overestimate how well the average flocker glides. www.WingsuitPhotos.com

I had one of those too, I took him on his first jump at Lake Wales then met up with him on New Years. We missed that last Casa load so he, I and Purple Paul did a 3 way with a bunch of over/unders and we were all bumping shoulders the whole jump. Very quick learner. I also agree that bigways give everyone a chance to learn - I still have Rickster's photo of DeLand 2004 bigway on my wall - I am straggling in the back (actually, flying the wrong slot). www.WingsuitPhotos.com

Both Loic and James (two very exceptional pilots) did not break 2.0 at the world wingsuit comp. Hence my assumption that most wingsuit jumps are under 2.0. And I'd also bet 90% of trackers cannot break 1:1. www.WingsuitPhotos.com

My shit's unflipped, sorry. Dresden Dolls are actually pretty well known... they sell out a lot of major venues. There are a lot of songs I like more than this one, but it's still pretty clever. I'm not really interested in the music video though. www.WingsuitPhotos.com

Agreed. I have seen very few pictures of "complete" formations. This is what is most compelling about the shots you've posted so far. Keep them coming. www.WingsuitPhotos.com

Good idea, Jeff, I've always wondered if human CG variance is significant enough to actually warrant something like this. For example, if a guy is scrawny enough up top, and fat enough at the bottom, will a Vampire (for example) work significantly less efficiently for him than it would for a guy of more average build? I'm not sure we can know the answer to this, especially since individual flying skill plays such a large part in the big picture. Well if you know where CG is, and where you intend CP (center of pressure) to be, it is simple geometry to balance the areas by wing profile. Also the body surface area is of importance. Another thing to consider is that optimal surface area distribution for a given CG could vary based on intended performance. Suits intended for high performance often have CP (center of pressure) biased further to the rear. Suits intended for acrobatics, flocking, or student use often have the CP biased further forward. Do you have intended CG/CP relationships for each of your suit models? I'm curious how much the human CG does vary for given height/weight ranges. What have you found so far with your table? I'd imagine that if this info is useful to somebody else, there is already some data out there in a human factors library somewhere listing 5/50/95 percentile distributions. (This is just an academic pursuit - if the variance is indeed significant, then you are on the right track measuring each person individually). Could you post a picture of your table and how it works? What body position do you have people in on the table? As you know, CG is dependent on this. I will have to stop by the shop again next time I'm in town. www.WingsuitPhotos.com

Agreed, Mike. The "double base" (or "rear base", depending on how you look at it) has been discussed before but I was doubtful to how well it would work out. They did it very well in the photos. www.WingsuitPhotos.com

Between 1.0 and 2.0 for the majority of pilots, on the majority of jumps. www.WingsuitPhotos.com

The pilot chute in the picture has a plastic tube handle attached to it, not a hackey. As I see it, the PC itself (regardless of the handle), when still rolled up, is denser than the bridle. The bridle catches the relative wind first and accelerates upwards faster. To me the solution is not in a different handle, but in a PC packing technique which allows it to "unpack" (not to be confused with inflating) faster. And from what little I know about BASE, I understand that you guys do indeed have strict PC packing techniques, no? www.WingsuitPhotos.com

CLICKY Kind of an interesting shot... the PC is still rolled up and the bridle is extending faster than the PC can move. Other photos added to December gallery, btw. www.WingsuitPhotos.com

My HC90 has a slim battery that fits totally inside the camera, both the regular and extended versions. Does the 96 have a "block" that fits on the back like the older PC models? www.WingsuitPhotos.com

Cool, so where's all the pictures from those tight tight formation flocks then? I have to admit, those pictures on the Top Gun site are some of the tightest formations I've ever seen. Very nice. www.WingsuitPhotos.com

I'm pretty sure the 96 is at least a quarter inch wider. Doesn't sound like much but it makes a big difference. www.WingsuitPhotos.com

Scott, what's your build like? I'm 6'0", 160lb and I will have my personal GTi, Acro, and S3 with me. If those won't work I bet we can find somebody to bring something for you. I don't plan on bringing an entire demo fleet, but I'd like to bring one that will fit you. P.S. It's very likely that there will be a ton of demo Tony Suits at the boogie, if Scotty or Jeff comes. Contact scottygofast or heffro1 on these forums, or just email Tony. www.WingsuitPhotos.com

How much post processing do you do before submitting photos?

The cover shot I got in June was turned purple, dark, and grainy. I had somebody from Eloy email me and say I needed a new camera. On topic, I adjust colors/contrast and crop a bit, and sometimes add a bit sharpening at full scale. www.WingsuitPhotos.com -
I think you're entirely full of it, Jason. www.WingsuitPhotos.com

Jump numbers before first wingsuit flight

And I've been telling my girlfriend no for the past several months (to wingsuits, that is). She can learn from somebody else if she likes, but I am the LAST person who will take her before 200 jumps, especially after she landed off (in a tree) after her first jump in a PF tracking suit (that I put her in). www.WingsuitPhotos.com -
What d-box and biteswitch do I need for my new shadow box? www.WingsuitPhotos.com

Very nice, I recognize one as a Skydiving cover shot. Is the last one Bill Sullivan? I recognize the Z-Flock t-shirt! www.WingsuitPhotos.com

I cannot seem to access my original email from Terry, but as far as I remember there is a custom machine bracket behind the front wall. The four button head screws hold that in place, and the 3 set screws hold the ringsight rod in place. May be possible with off the shelf "U-clamps" you refer to... www.WingsuitPhotos.com
