You missed our Keys Boogie - It was a couple of weeks ago. It's always in November and it's actually on Marathon Key. However, you can still see some fantastic views over Sebastian. Anyways, when you are in Florida - it is mandatory to hit a few dropzones and Stacy gave you the lowdown.

Maybe now that I'm jumping again and the arm appears to be holding up ok - we can manage to get on a jump or two together. I'm learning to compensate for my new built in right turn!

I'm so glad it cleared up and you finally got to do that 100th! Too bad you weren't here today. Jumps are going off, the weather is great and people are having a great time. The drop shop opened its doors for a 25% off liquidation sale today. Stay tuned they'll do it again - there is still stuff to sell. Turkey dinner is tonight for us. You can never have too many thanksgiving dinners.... i guess. Jello shots are tomorrow night. Sorry, not enough people for the night jumps tonight - try next month!!!

Wow, I have been so bad at looking at the forums I missed this entire thread. Lately, I just go straight to the places & events and don't look anywhere else. Yeah!! I'm glad to see everyone getting ready to come and yes *gulp* we are matching the prize money. Man, I think Sebastian is such a beautiful place to jump even after hurricane wreckage - but look at the crap I have to do to get you guys to come see us! We are very excited to have the meet. We've got plenty of aircraft. PACKING will be tight! We are going to try to put a temporary cover over what remains of the old packing structure for this event. We've all been enjoying being cozy in the main hangar but I don't think we want to be that cozy for this weekend. (yes, we are replacing the packing shed. Permits are being processed & footings will be poured soon but not in time for next Friday). For anyone else who isn't competing and is an animal lover we are also having a fund raiser for our local Humane Society that weekend. If anyone wants to participate (the competition does not couont for this) you give a $10.00 registration (donated direct to the H.S) and Skydive Sebastian will also donate $1.00 from every jump you do that weekend directly to the Humane Society. So we have all kinds of stuff happening.... looks like party potential Saturday night...maybe???

Yes, come on out. The weather isn't the best today - but Friday should be good and we are going to put together somekind of thanksgiving dinner on Friday night. You guys may all be sick of turkey but I haven't had mine yet!! The skyvan is here and the otter. Jono & Daniel are ready to go - now we just need nice blue skies. I'll have a freefly organizer here for the weekend and I'm not sure if Drew was going to sneak back this way early or not. I know he had a prior committment but thought that he might be able to slip away.

I love the purple jello shots!!! I only burned four batches of them in the Keys. I was so bummed out - note to everyone - make sure you have removed the pot from the heat when you put the alcohol in and whatever you do don't get sidetracked - it makes a spectacular fire! Good thing the room didn't have sprinklers and I was able to put it out before it spread - or I'd be in some deep shit right now! Anyways, bring them on and I'll make enough jello shots to last into the new year.

Thanks to everyone who came and made this boogie such a success this year!! I'm digging out from under paperwork back in Sebastian right now. As soon as I'm caught up I'll post pictures. Of course, most of mine are party pictures. Anyone get any of Will & I playing with the fire on the Porky's wagon? Thank you again and I hope you all stop by and see us in Sebastian too. It isn't quite the Keys but it's about as close as you can get for a view around here.

HELLO! How about your home DZ - Sebastian!! We do Christmas dinners for those of us who can't go home and of course, a party for New Years! We haven't done midnight jumps for the last couple of years but if it was requested we could bring them back. No way in hell I'd do them but if you nuts want to then... be my guest.

I was trying to call you guys all day - the phone just rings & rings - no answering machine... do you have a certified fire extinguisher? The fire marshall is insisting that we have one sitting out by your grill! If you don't I'm sure we can track one down out here somewhere but if you've got it, bring it. People are already arriving. We've pretty much already taken over the top floor of the condo building at the Sombrero. The helicopter is coming in tonight! I didn't think it would be here until Saturday but they are only about 15 minutes away. I was so hoping for an early night to prepare for the rest of the week!

Yeehaa!! I'm in the keys and the sombrero has wireless. I'm just sending out a quick one because I've still got so much to do... so little time... Anyways - it's gorgeous out right now although a bit windy - my room is sweet - I've got a nice view of the pool out the front door and I can see the marina from the back porch. The fridge is just waiting to be filled with the jello shots we'll be making for Saturday night.

I'm leaving tomorrow for the Keys. You can register at the Keys - we made an exception this year because with all the hurricanes it was a late start getting registrations in but just make sure you have your uspa cards with you, find some flotation devices (ours are all rented) and make sure your reserve is in date. If you need any details - just ask - most hotel info and stuff like that is already in this thread.

hmmmm.... I thought people would be a little more interested in something for charity. We were going to do jumps each month for some local charity starting with the Humane Society, then something like the food pantry, things like that. Is there no interest in that sort of thing at all?

We always take good care of her. She's flown south to us every winter and though we hate to see her go it's a nice little arrangement. You need to come down and visit her! I love CrossKeys it's my second home but the view down here is so much better! I can look at the orange roof of home depot while skydiving at Xkeys or I can look at the treasure coast here. Come check out Sebastian inlet from the air or bring your surfboard and check it out from the ground as well!

Wow, you don't go online for a few days and look what happens! Brandi - we can hook you up with the uspa while you are here - bring the picture - that should be funny! This year we will have a tent and the inside DAV area. The tent will be set up behind the DAV. Please - if you have not pre-registered make sure you bring your USPA card, your flotation gear and that your reserve is in date! We will be allowed beach jumps each afternoon. It is a pretty good sized beach unless you compare it to Wildwood or Panama City but compared to most beach jumps that I've gone on - it's not too bad. I think the whole island is smaller than wildwood. I leave for Marathon tomorrow so if anyone needs anything please ask now. PM me if you need my cell number to contact me down there. OK, I love posting then having to backtrack! I love passing on incorrect information. The Skyvan will be returning to Sebastian BUT not when I was originally told. It was in Atlanta and now it is somewhere else helping out another dz that is short a plane and will be back in Sebastian next week - well sort of - we will be taking it to the Keys for Thursday, November 11. So you can come out and jump it on Monday if you want, then we are closed on Tuesday and then it will leave for the Keys. Sorry, sorry, sorry, you know how plans & planes change in skydiving!

He will, Cynci will, Scaryperry will, I'm sure the trach's will (did I spell their name right?) - there ill be wingsuit jumpers there galore! Don't get caught up in the view and forget to fly back to land.

Danovision Productions is going to be putting together the video for this event. They are giving a discount on it for anyone who purchases at the boogie. Harry Parker has just joined up with us to come down and play. He'll be doing his usual schtick! Lots of melonhead jumps, hybrids, lots of fun. AND last but not least Allison - Pink Mafia - Allison is also on board and will be organizing with us. Not just PM jumps - boys can jump too! Are you registered yet??? Do you have your hotel room? Do you have your flotation device? Are you ready to have awesome jumps with a spectacular view and sip margaritas on the beach after sunset? Here's a tip for you - have a friend who isn't on the sunset load mix up those ritas and be waiting on the beach when you land. It just can't be in glass. No glass containers on the beach! Glass baaaaaaaaaaad, plastic gooooooooood!
