There is nothing "former" about .30-06. It is still to this day one of the most popular hunting cartridges in America. OK. In America. It's a little bit different here. Usual hunting calibres are (depending on animal=`) 7 x 57 (R), 7 x 64 (R) or SE, 8 x ... and so on. .308 Wichester is 7.62 x 51 .30.06 Springfield is 7.62 x 63 (and that is called a "former military calibre" here) .375 H & H = 9,.55 x 72,4 .458 Winchester Magnum = 11.64 x 63.5 Oh wait, I forgot Rimless 10.75 x 73 European/German hunters prefer local calibres. There is something special about the NATO calibres, which f.e. in many "forms" of calibres (you know, silver tip, soft tip, hard tip) are completely forbidden. Just a small thing, but the NATO 7.62 is the same as a Winchester .308, which is a shortened version of the venerable 30.06. Both can be very accurate rounds. Except a very small difference: .308 Winchester /NATO calibre is 7.62 x 51 30-06 Springfield is 7.62 x 63 (former American military calibre) In fact it makes no big difference. The one I prefer is the Winchester. But, as I am a simple hunter and just use what I think is appropriate, I do not care too much on those small differences. dudeist skydiver # 3105

There is a higher rate of HIV in Homo sexual males than any other group. The reasons? 1. The quite simple fact that during Anal intercourse the wall of the anus is torn and bleeds. This allows for a MUCH higher rate of transfer than vaginal intercourse. Women are more likely to get HIV from an infected man than a man from an infected woman. Add in the the bleeding from anal intercourse and a gay man can transfer HIV to a gay man via anual intercourse much easier. 2. Lack of use of a condom in young men. Hetero men don't like to use a condom and when they do it is most times to prevent getting the woman pregnant. Young gay men follow the same pattern. Neither group seems to think of HIV, and gay men will not get pregnant. 3. I don't know if this is everywhere, but a gay friend of mine in CA (LA) told me that he could get laid everynight if he wanted to. He has said the same thing about a few other cities. His opinion (and a few others) is that young gay males "sport fuck" a lot. Now if I could find a few females with that mindset. For what I know, in Africa f. e. the infection rate of women is much higher. With re to condom use, that's scaring here, too. Young folks (not only the young men!) really tend to forget that HIV still is a deadly virus. They go on as if there is no tomorrow, not even spending an idea of buying any condoms. A young guy in jeans and just a t-shirt, classical voice, singing like a young god - who knows him? I am absolutely impressed and do enjoy his songs, coming along with a wonderful orchestra. Wow.
