Against what, Torero? I'll be at your side to defend against the rest of the world. If you only would have better equipment Whom to kill with a lawn mower..? Tell me, I follow you Against criminals with deadly lawn mowers... I guess that a powerful lawn mower would be the great equalizer for a gardener or anyone who is afraid to be attacked by a gardener. I am ordering over the net whatever and everything can be used against me as a weapon (but much bigger) so i will be properly protected. OK. Understood. Count on me and my lawn mower. We shall be prepared. BTW: Mine needs electricity.... dudeist skydiver # 3105

Everyone should be encouraged to take weapons onto flights

I'd say: in the contrary! McG was solving all problems by using only 2 tools, f.e. a pc of twine and his brilliant mind LMAO dudeist skydiver # 3105 -

I have to defend DM here....She has said tons of times snide remarks about America. Here is one for THIS thread What is "The American Way?". It is a slam on Americans. You are wrong on that, dear Ron. Pls re-read what I said about "the American way" to treat a gun: Always consider it's loaded.....etc. He, our teacher, always told us to keep this in mind. That was a good way to show newbies on guns how to treat them in a safe way. No bash, no slam, Ron. I am sorry. (Funny: You ask "What is "The American Way"? - and answer yourself: It is a slam on Americans.) Perhaps I should add some background on that: In our German shooting places, open ranges or houses, clubs, when placing down the rifle, it always has to be completely unloaded, and shotguns broken, f.e. It is in no way allowed just to safety switch the rifle and place it down the rack. So, everybody knows: That gun on the rack is not "dangerous". But there are always idiots forgetting to unload, so there still is danger and you can never trust a rifle really is unloaded. My instructor has been in North America many times. In our very first lessons he told us, he personally prefers the American way to safely handle the gun as he noticed in the US: Always consider it's loaded, as guns on the racks are loaded, they are just "locked"! So, everybody knows it could be a huge mistake when messing around with a gun standing in the rack, or probably touching guns of others. Everybody knows, gun is loaded! So, everybody handles with necessary care or keeps his distance and his fingers away from it. He did not agree to our strict rules to generally unload guns when placing down on rack. Beginners sometimes forget to unload, next idiot grabs that gun to have a closer look at its details and... booom! This is what my instructor told me more than 10 years ago. I do not know if it's still actual. I never was at any shooting range in the US, only in Canada for hunting. But he explained that as the "American way" to handle each and every gun, no matter which kind. Always consider it's loaded. Not more, not less. Ron. No slamming down the US. Perhaps at another time, another place? Christel dudeist skydiver # 3105

Obvious to who? You? Spaniards? Germans? I had my first pellet gun when I was much younger than 10. Almost every kid I know/knew did and you can be sure my kid will have his before then. He will have a .22 also by then hopefully. My 11 year old Brother in Law has high power rifles and larger bore shotguns in his gunsafe. I will let him clean and shoot my long guns anytime. Don't push your European ideals on us please. Ooooh, guy, slow down. Not everybody used to grow up with a "weapon" whatever. Let me just repeat: We Europeans are old fashioned enough to wait and check. My personal feelings are, to hide weapons no matter which kind, so my kids will not find them. This has nothing to do with Spaniards or Germans... It's just the feeling of a mother/father which does not want to see their kids bitching around with a killing item/tool. dudeist skydiver # 3105

...., it appears you can regulate people to some degree. ...That would mean what? Until which degree? When will such kind of regulation touch the "birth given rights"? You have a good explanation for aliens on that? Just would like to know. dudeist skydiver # 3105

Story: Germany's neo-Nazi upsurge This story, as sad as it is, is not surprising me. In a Nazi-orientated society, "one" has to expect that. End of message. Note: This is not intended as a personal attack. It's simply another demonstration of the type of logic used in the quoted argument. Oh well, JohnRich, back again? Didn't see you since a while... Oh yeah, your post including its link is somewhat actual. LMAO Try again... You know better, right? dudeist skydiver # 3105

You are fully right with the very first rule: Never point a gun to anyone, if it's loaded or not. My instructor always used to tell us aboutt the American way of treating a gun: He told us from very first beginning, that a gun ALWAYS has to be considered loaded. Never point it to anyone. It's no toy, it can kill. It could be loaded. Like you, I have nothing against guns. But they should not be at an easy access for everybody (kids f.e.,). That means: Kids do not understand the real danger of weapons, if this is paintball or a kid's wooden rifle. They do what they learned, saw in TV, are told... Aiming at someone. It needs parents to explain the difference to the kids. @ DrunkMonkey: You do realize the Reich is no more existing? And if it's still in your head: It's not my fault? I thought that if guns were illegal.....
christelsabine replied to jkm2500's topic in Speakers Corner
You use a crystal ball to find this out? Maybe he only attacked those who tried to fight him? Do you have evidence that he would have gone wild or are you guessing? Imagine how this owuld have played out if those who defended themselves with chair legs had a pistol? He would have shown up with a sword and been dead in seconds. That would have meant a blood bath, Ron. I just try to imagine all those mothers, fully armed to protect their children in case "a sword killer" is attacking them in a church. Mainly mothers, kids..... And hundreds of hand guns. Again, a silly idea. Anyhow, over here. Perhaps not in the US? Is it normal in the US to visit the church with the kid sitting on left hip and the hand gun on right hip? Hahahhah, Ron you are kidding me - right? -

Ron, this was relationship tragedy. The guy - a Tamile (sp?) - killed a woman and wounded several other people seriously. In the case he had any AK-.... in hands that moment, you can be sure he would have killed dozens. People in the church defended themselves with chair legs, wooden banks and similar. How to do against bullets? dudeist skydiver # 3105 -
Frenchy, he was able attract millions of people. And that's not an easy job. And still millions love him, need him. Even my own son - we are protestants, I personally do not believe in anything - was his fan, as in 87' the Pope touched his head. From this moment on I was sure nothing bad ever will happen to my boy. I still believe in this. My son is going to church, he's right now in our Cologne cathedral. Not me, I enjoy holidays in south Germany. But have to confess, I feel so sorry. That pope will be unforgottan. dudeist skydiver # 3105

Wait, wait, wait, it's much too early to start with this already now. Follow your instructor, and all is OK. Do not try to overtake yourself on the left side. dudeist skydiver # 3105

Now there's no way in hell of shooting sushi - therefore it's food for poufs! Like quiche! Or anything made by 5 men with suspiciously nice hair & skin & clothes & manners who insist on travelling around together in a shiny SUV that's never been off-road! What do vegetarian gun lovers now have to do? Only walking dark roads with a bag over the head? I love all what is made of anything in green - forget about the sushi - f.e. a fine quiche w/o bacon but, a lot of leek! Those 5 men with the tiny little hands also know how to do that I love it. Just wanted to confirm, you are right. That belongs to SC. dudeist skydiver # 3105

Rebecca, no! I am not. But: If feel surprised if such an absolute beginner is beeing too kind and selling things he really should use for himself. (BTW:Why did he purchase a lot of them?) I am a beginner too, but would not spread my books all over the community beeing a bloody beginner with just 3 tandem jumps or similar on my account. That sounds weird, somehow. And that's all.
