  1. Hey guys, it seems you are not too scared about that? Feel good? I am so surprised that no one is talking about that event of the century itself. He's looking for friends, for love. dudeist skydiver # 3105
  2. Yes, please don't anymore. Your wish is my command. Cya, Ron.
  3. You do not give up, right? I am looking forward... Christel dudeist skydiver # 3105
  4. Oh man, you are a nail to my coffin. For myself, finally I have to admit: Hunting is fun! But, guy, it's not what you want to imply: Frustrated office folks with pale faces enjoying to kill poor little bambi at the WE to forget what an a***hole the boss is! It is the total: What Steve1 said, is fully correct. Additionally, there is a social side. Same with skydivers, BTW. Sitting together, the joint is doing its circle.... No. Of course not. Hunters - after hunting day is over - sit together to kill the dinner, joint is doing.... No sorry. Wrong text. Hunters are much older. They take a Whiskey. In fact, it's that being together, beeing interested in what is far away from boring day life. And something else: I never was feeling disappointed only to have seen a pretty bird, a young fox hunting mice in the morning, flies around me, but: Not shooting one cartridge one time. The deer won. It's just that wonderful feeling beeing outside all night long, watching, listening to nature. Oh well, exactly that. Spending one complete WE in a little wooden house 5 m above the ground, not that comfortable, I tell you! But: It's simple pleasure. Leaving after 2 days, all sweet bambis still are alive as I was a lousy hunter, didn't have a good chance to pull the trigger... same moment I open my eyes and look outside, bambi and mother slowly are moving away into the forrest. It's daylight, I will no more shoot! That's just a small impression about the other side of hunting. The side I love the most. If it's in Germany, France, Poland or Africa. Result is the same. I'm afraid, non-hunters will not understand. I don't mind that
  5. You are always looking for reasons to forgive people for the CRIMES they do. Just to correct a little bit: "People" are not in question, it's a child. At this age, they just start to enter puberty with all its problems, if it even starts... A kid with 13 is incapable to judge when under stress.... (Like most adults!) "Always" is simply wrong, I never excused any "crime". Since months, I did not reply to any of your posts. The best way to go in future, too. Cya dudeist skydiver # 3105
  6. OK. In which league may I find them now? dudeist skydiver # 3105
  7. If he didn't know what he was doing was bad....Then why did he run from the cops? Reading this, is simply scaring. That kid simply made a pile of s***, didn't see the way to escape... What's result: Situation is becoming harder and harder. Not only for the cops. For a 13 y/o, too. That is a little boy and not an armed marine. Get real, Ron. If the kid was 6....I might agree, but 13 is an adult in many parts of the world. That's BS. Not you personally but, many of US posters claimed that Germany allows children below 21 yrs to drink alcohol. And you just say a 13 y/o kid is an adult? You added: In many parts of the world. Lame excuse. You just need that as an example. That incident happened in the US, not somewhere else in the world. (Just to avoid misunderstandings: It could happen everywhere, we had similar story here with a guy of same age (+/- 1 yr), doing a long hell trip to escape with a truck. It was a dangerous situation for the cops.) dudeist skydiver # 3105
  8. Each and very word of that post is fully correct in my eyes. Nothing missed, nothing to add (even discussions between hunters and non-hunters will never end). I would say exactly the same in my own language. You explained it perfect. Every non-hunter should be able to understand. That's one good report to read. dudeist skydiver # 3105
  9. Thx for the last sentence. Still learning every day. Hey, no wrong statements about the Tottenham Hotspurs, pleeease. My dad used to love English teams, at least about 10 yrs ago when their play was a little more interesting But he dislikes Beckham, that Spanish model guy Sorry, just a side note. OK. Let's go back to the ban: Tdy, in the news I read that after the new law tock place, same WE about 91 foxes were killed. Nothing changed, right? There seems to be the one or the other hide-out, clever hunters discovered? Christel dudeist skydiver # 3105

  11. Well. I am not trying to act like I know better but I have a PhD degree in biology and have taken a class on dynamics of population in college. Since you have such a strong opinion on importance of hunting on control of sub populations, do you mind identifying the source of information? Ed to spell check again Hi, I doubt that your PhD degree will help you in clarifying the matter of the infringement into wildlife here in Europe. Why don't you just do a google search? A hunter knows clearly what I want to point out. If you never heard about the problem hunters have to explain their "works", I am sorry, I will and cannot help you. There's too much of explanation needed, that will take my whole night, which I prefer to spend in my bed as tomorrow, my work is waiting. Sorry.
  12. Hi Zep, Why don't you try to write in proper English? Perhaps folks understand you better, man. I really have troubles to translate what you write. It's hard enough for an uneducated European to understand what the Islanders have to tell to the world... Please. dudeist skydiver # 3105
  13. I am not trying make to idealistic suggestion that the animals in slaughter houses do not suffer. My points are: 1) Hunting for food is unnecessary because the vast majority of human population can always buy the meat in stores and those who starve do not hunt. 2) Many kinds of animals popular for hunting (foxes, wolves ect) cannot be used for food. 3) The argument that hunting is absolutely necessary for maintaining a balance in animal populations is completely overstated. 4) The actually reason that drives the vast majority of hunters is FUN (I am talking from personal experience here) All the other arguments are just pathetic excuses. Edit for spelling Perhaps in Tex, point 4 is applicable. For us over here in Europe, point 3 - even not completed - is the begin of an explantion. The ending is BS. Nothing is overstated or what else. We do not have any balance on wild animals here. So we have to intrude into the nature. Since 16 yrs, I try to explain what hunting means. Since a more than 3 yrs, I try to explain what skydiving means to me. Yawn.... dudeist skydiver # 3105
  14. Your last comment on killing people I have decided to ignore That was one wise decision.

  16. Hi Adrian, I am trying to arrange some days for Empuria. Not so sure it if will work. I asked Birgi, but, I think it will be impossible to her. Perhaps cya Christel dudeist skydiver # 3105

Wonderful, there is nothing better than kid's eyes. These are special lovely. Congrats for such a beauty.
  18. Do you think killing the animals for fun is not cruel in general? No. It is not. Just have a close look on our today's nature - OK, it varies from country to country - and you will find out that hunters have to take over the roll as a predator. The balance in nature is no more given. So, hunters are required. I will keep it short like that. Hunting is not killing just to kill. That's nonsense. dudeist skydiver # 3105
  19. WTF is that from Baghdad time? 2 hrs less. Not much time difference. BTW: Hotel Castel Blanc (very close to DZ) is nice, not too expensive, rooms are OK w/TV, but: The breakfast is the worst I ever had. I've been there 3 times, incredible! Have a look on www.skydiveempuriabrava.com They show nice accomodations with a touch of luxury. Problem is: If you chose the hotel next to the DZ, that's only convenient in the morning, just few meters to the DZ, so you can carry your equipment every day to and back from the DZ. But, that DZ's bar (nice one) closes quite early in the evening, night life starts quite late at the other edge of Empuria. It's easier to live where night life starts. So before diving into the night, you could hv a nice dinner somewhere, all could be reached just by walking, and be sure: Do not drive when drunken. Police station is not far from DZ. Rent a car for this time, the best you can do. It happend more than one time that we were waiting for a taxi early morning for more than 2 hrs. So, in the morning (or early at noon) you're sober, drive to DZ and come back in the evening. Then by foot you go and jump into nightlife. Empuria is a great place. Enjoy it.
  20. Vinyls! I treat mine like a treasure and am surely one of the very last dinos having a turntable connected, placed on top of the DVD player My deepest love belongs to the Stones: Paint It Black! on vinyl! Oh, well dudeist skydiver # 3105
  21. Banning football I can understand, but why would you want to ban horses Throwing The Hammer is dangerous, isn't it? You do not like football? What do you prefer instead? Cricket? Hunting foxes with dogs seems to have a martial touch for many people. I see it a little different. What I completely would refuse is gassing foxes. About 20 yrs ago, it was a big issue here, as all rabies incidents were blamed on foxes. BTW: What does "IF" mean? Deer hunting in GB is great, but it's expensive. Poland is cheaper and the trophies are mucho larger Horrido! dudeist skydiver # 3105
  22. We are lucky. Being an island we have managed to eradicate rabies, and we work hard at keeping it out. That's why we have the strict quarantine laws & pet passports. That was actually one of the big arguments against the Channel Tunnel - How to make sure no rabies-infected animal could use it! In the meantime, what this law bans is using packs of hounds to hunt foxes. That suits me. I had one "run-in" with a hunt some years ago! Let's just say that any future hunt that comes near me & mine is going to be met with a suitable hammer for their hounds & horses! I intensely dislike the arrogant bastards who think they can go where they wish and do as they wish while hunting a fox! Obviously I fully support the new law. Oh Lord, I should have known better, especially as I knew better. The rabies questions in Europe was one of my examination questions for hunter's license, I simply forgot, sorry. You know, we have similar kinds of "fox" hunting. That, of course, it not hunting a fox. It is a fake, the hunting dogs take the smell and run like hell behind a fake rabbit, fox, they do not mind, they run. Fox hunting by horse and with dogs is forbidden since a long time. What is funny: Do your fox hunters just follow the dogs over every private property, crossing just everybody's backyard which is in their way? I'm horse riding since more than 20 yrs, including military, and our traditional autumn "huntings" (see above, just horses and dogs running like fools.... and horse riders drinking like fools at every corner ) are going across the fields. But before, all our ways were determined, and our master strictly followed those roads. We were not allowed to cross private properties. AND we are not arrogant bastards! Perhaps, the one or the other is.... OK, let's start a new thread: Ban the hammers in the UK, or much better: Ban horses! But, but: What will happen to Camilla right now? dudeist skydiver # 3105
  23. What's surprising to me: Nobody is talking about a possible increase of rabies... or don't you have it on the Islands? OK OK, I could do a Google search.. Foxes > rabies: that's so close together. For us over here it still is a big issue and it's danger should not be underestimated. I shot several foxes and it was always a big story with removing skin, wearing masks, gloves.... When watching those pretty animals hunting mice, I still have troubles to shoot at them. But if necessary, I do it. 2 km from to my home, there is a cemetry. 2 years ago, some hunters and me were going over there to shoot foxes. There were too much. Incredible how close and in which quantities they live to houses, even in big cities, they are masters of surviving. Pretty creatures, but I think they have to be controlled. In which way, that depends on the country. I am not for banning fox hunting. That's nonsense. Christel dudeist skydiver # 3105

  25. Thx. Your post is appreciated. You are right: I used to talk about my guns. But this is not in the connection with present thread. My man, my big son are not interested in hunting and skydiving. But I am. I enjoy to be a hunter but, have troubles to see a boy of 11 yrs playing with any deadly weapon. No excuse on that, it's just my opinion. I protect my child against any possible dangers, and then, let it play with a gun? No. dudeist skydiver # 3105
