I decided to get back inti jumping took my reserve in to get it repacked. Started having second thoughts about all the weekends, etc. Cancelled the reserve repack. IMO If you don't want to go out to the DZ every weekend like a starving dog. That little voice in your head is trying to tell you something. Call it balance, burnout, hassle factor greater than fun factor, whatever. Maybe it's time for a short break, When you really feel the need for speed it's time to go back and have some fun. Skydive till you puke! R.I.P. (DZ name)

HI cloud Don't give me more credit than I deserve its a 24" schlong not 24' if it was that long I's have to wrap it around my waist at least 3times which would make me look fatter than I am. I think some Babes like a guy with a limp, keep the cane and wear the shorts to you can board the plane early. Airport security? Have you had to go to a court house yet or any Fed, state city bldgs. Wearing shorts night expediate things but then again no telling whats under that scar. R.I.P.

Dave With your positive attitude and your size if you were my student I'd give you straight "A's" IMO your the real deal and don't need no luck regrdless of you outstanding size. R.I.P.

Hi RMH Last try: Another true story. The local news are doing a interview of a senior jumper on T.V. The guy flew fighter's in WW2 had a dangerous dam bldg job, still jumps out of airplanes at his advanced age and done a bunch of hard core stuff. The interviewer asks the old gentlemen is there anything you wouldn't do. The old fart thinks a sec and says well my pappy told me don't mess with Heroin or work for the Gov't. R.I.P.

Hi cloud Wow! Now that's self esteem at it's pinnacle. But then again, if your winkie looks worse than that picture of my shin I'm sure the cure is way beyond the scope of modern medicine. My winkie is doing fine thank you. 12 inch's no problemo just fold it in half. Pics anyone? But when you get older every thing seems to shift. I'm sure it has something to do with gravity, old age, and not working out. BTW plastic surgery can do wonders these days I could be become a half way descent looking babe not to be confused with a hunk. No Offence intended to anyone. R.I.P.

Hi Cloud Pic #1 kind of looks like a fish. The scar could be removed above the knee Have you come up with any good B.S. unbelievable explanations for the scar. Shark attack, Pit bull, mother in law bite. etc? Wear shorts the scar might be a babe magnet, oh you poor thing.... R.I.P.

I figured as much, and said so in the earlier thread. The dude is out some bux, but he probably won't be charged with knowingly receiving/selling stolen goods. The detectives aren't going to go after the original perp either - it isn't worth the effort. But Rastas is getting his rig back! Woo-Hoo! mh Hi Author Talked with a cop one time said they could go to any flee mkt, swap meet etc and find lots of stolen stuff. Like you said not worth the effort. R.I.P.

Is that the stench of irony I smell in that thread title? I think the spell checker said it was OK. R.I.P.

I'll try but it not worthy of a snort laugh. Lost praire boogie: Dave Rucker gets hurt again. Buddies run over to see is he's still breathing. Dave says "call me ambulance" Bud says your a ambulance. Meanwhile the helicopter is on it's way. I think Dave spent a couple of days in the hospital on that one. The next time we met he told me his theory on preparing for a bad landing and surviving. Something about protecting the vital organs so only the bones would break. R.I.P.

USPA group member safer or what?

"As -I- remember it, he was voted in as the result of an internet campaign from over at rec.skydiving" Quade I have no ill will to you, USPA etc however IMO "as I remember it" is nothing more than a rumor. One person suggested this thread be moved to speakers corner and now it somehow got moved to General skydiving discussions. This websight is HH's house and he can do what he wants in his house. I'll just move to a different room. Im my world the issue is closed. I hope we can agree that we disagree and leave it at that, like adults. R.I.P. -
Quade Sheep in england! could they have hoof and Mouth disease.??? Can it be transmited to humans? would anyone admit to it. "Warning do not get a B.J. from a sheep you due to possiable adverse health effects" This is the USA according to our highest level of our Gov't (4 yr's ago) a B.J. is not sex! So oral whatever you call it is not sex! This is the USA we are always right the rest of the world is wrong. R.i.P.

QuoteI have a BA in Psychology... And I was curious to know the general eduaction of skydivers because they seem to be more educated than the general public (to me). But I find that whuffo's think that we are less educated then the general public. Hi cloud Since you showed me your's I'll show you mine. I have a BS in civil engineering from a university that even has a campus and is run by the state. I'm probably halfway to a masters in Engineering but what's the point. I'm now trying to choose between a high end ladies shoe salemen. But I'm not going to dress up so I'd never get out of the stock room I'm considering a going back to school to be a OBGYN but I'm afraid once I found out what i was getting into I'd have to quit. Who says engineers don't have a sense of humor

Hi DenREn Sorry but I have to agree with you. Most sensiable thing I read in this whole thread But the moderator is the only one that can do that so it won't happen (read his posts the green one). Look at the stats on the hits in speakers corner. So here it stays but at least I don't have to read the thread even in the Bonfire. R.I.P. -

Hi Quade IMO The GM dues is chump change and doesn't even pay for the services the GM DZ's recieve. The DZO was voted to the BOD by the USPA membership. IMO that speaks for itself. BTW I'm not s USPA member but did belong for approx 20 yr's. Do I agree with what USPA is doing? I voted with my feet. Will it change anything it will for me but not for USPA. As long as they have a monoply on jumping in the USA suck it up and jump. Over and out R.I.P. -

Would a gear store in Southern Ontario fly?
slug replied to packerboy's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
Might work if you have a gimmick I mean give extra service. Have you considered some eye candy for the guy's and gals visiting the shop. Beware of blind jumpers who want to use braile. Is cannabis legal yet in your part of canada? R.I.P. -
Hi Rocket Start a Daily log of who, when you talked with and what was discussed at both insurance companies. etc. You may not want to get screwed, but you will, so carry a supply of rubbers & lube. The lube will prevent the pain and the rubbers will prevent any life threatening disease's. Sounds like you took quite a hit, I'm not suggesting any whiplash crap but you may have injuries your not aware of yet so don't sign any releaes for medical records or any release of liability until you sure tour OK. BTW we want pictures and you will need them for your file. R.I.P.

I refused to play the sock game. My solution was to buy my socks all the same color, No not white!. Just boring. Always have a matched pair, sort of, sometimes ones just a little more faded than the other. Got a picture of the sockless feet at work? I always wanted to work in a womens shoe store

I thought about that, but I used to have a boyfriend name Roy too... oh wait.. we are still together. ... But if we weren't together later just like this damn dropzone name... I'd have to find another Roy.. and I'm not about to search for another Roy... nice thought though.. thanks.. Now I'm all depressed! IMO If You change boyfriends change the cats name to match Roy: get off the bed I'm going to get Roy neutered Roy get off the furniture Roy come sit on my lap Roy purrs so nice when we snuggle etc etc R.I.P.

I think this subject has been discussed many times do a search on this websight for background info also check the profiles of the folks making the comments and you may find some hidden agenda's. IMO Do some independent research and then come back and ask for clarifications on issues you don't understand. R.I.P. Troll! >>UUuuuumm well sorta. As it is possible or even probable that there is asbestos present in your flooring hiring a specialized company may not be so necessary. Asbestos IS harmful, but prolonged unprotected exposure is what is the biggest danger. Provided you use/wear proper protective clothing, rerspirator and gloves you'll be fine. Just so long as you don't take a sander to the stuff or grind it up into tiny airborn particles.>> If the tile & sustraqte is in good shpe why remove it? Talk to the big box stores about th right mehod and mastic's to attach the new tile to the old. PPE is ok if you know how to use it, isolate the room your working in and decominate as your's removing the the PPE. Central heat air system you gan contaminate the who house with asbestos. Leave the exclusion Zone before deconing you will contaminate every place you walk and touch. Hire a liscensed pro to remove asbestos materials? You can't affors it if they do it correctly. Big can of worms. R.I.P. kwak

OMFG anything but a twin beech. I.m not sure if it's the pilot or the plane. It would be interesting to hear from Diver driver about the # of D-18 crash's flying jumpers and lives lost. I sure there are some excellent d-18's and pilot's but I'll pass. R.I.P.

Hell no! It's fun to try to lauch a 4 way from 7k. But, the best part of a little Cessna is that it takes off with a helluva lot less jumpers than a turbine. We used to have a 206 for $16 to 12k. Two jumpers $24 each and we fly! It sure beats watching sitting on the couch. Want to have some fun from a Cessna try letting the spotter just exit and everyone else get off there butt or whatever & scramble out the door after them. A 4 way is very doable from 7k with a little practice. All jumpers less than 300 jumps, try it you might like it! R.I.P.
