Ah yes, the Strato Flyer. The main reason I have 500 round jumps instead of about 150... Why on earth would I want to jump something like that? And all the other squares were bigger than my round (which put me down softly). Squares were not always better than rounds, were they Hi Wendy I also had 500 jumps on rounds, saw way to many mals on sq's during the learning curve, aka consumer R&D. But i only weighed 130 lbs (really) so rounds weren't a problem. The big folks on the wild side liked the speed and soft landing of the sq's untill they had to use their rd reserve's. IMO the sport owes a big thanks to the R&D consumers and the manufactor's who stayed with it and tried all the different sq's untill they got all the problems figured out and refined the design. Get your mind set for the long haul. Your looking at the basic law of supply and demand. Maybe come up with a plan B so you can reduce your stress for a while until things level out.(No pun intended) Anyone you can move in with for a while and not piss ea other off. What good is a new roof if you got 2 more month's of the season to go. Maybe need to think like your facing a long term blockade. Hang in there. Think unrealistic expectations! Maybe now, but back in the late 60's it wasn't that way. Sorry we had a failure to communicate. With 1 year left Uncle Sam gave him orders for another tour in SEA 15-18 month's unacompaned in SEA. He had a choice and took it. Not for himself for his wife.... Like maybe her suicide if he left. We spent enough time away from home PCS and TDY back to back that some of the married guy's were under a lot of stress. One crew chief stole a C-130E from Mildenhall Air base England around 1968-69. So he could fly back to his wife. He kept the plane, his widow got his life insurance. Some of the info is one the web. R.I.P.

Hi WC Met a jumper who went to court filled out the papers without a lawyer and changed his name to Aaran, (no first name). He wanted to be the first person in the phone book at work (60K employee's). Judge asked Aaran if he was changing his name to avoid debt's etc?. Nope OK your now offically named Aaron $50-$75 please. Aaran said the only peope who gave him a hard time was the CC company. Had to have First, Last name or no CC. R.I.P.

Hi JB I served with a guy who had 19 yr's and watched him get out.. Really woke me up, he was married and they wanted him to do another tour in SEA holding up the domino's. He said his wife couldn't handle it. The sand pile is going to be around for at least a few more yr's. No AC unacceptable it gets hot over there! The kapow DZ and the towns in between it and Mt Ranier will be wiped out by the big mud flow if Mt Ranier pops it cork. Hopefully there will be some activity (like St Helens)prior to the big one so everyone can have lots of time to leave the area. When/if Ranier pops Kapow has something like 15mins. BTW heard on the news that the Mt Ranier area is haveing practice drills this week , blowing sirens, and maybe the school kids heading for high ground. FWIW Ranier is covered with this nice thick Glacier that will turn to water when things heat up resulting in a instant flush of mud and stuff.
