  1. Hiting a cow can be a pain in the neck. Sometimes they can come thru the windshild and cause severe injury to anyone in the front seat. Beware going tto Lost Priare boogie in Montana that state still has a open range law. cattle have the right to go where they want when they want. You run into a cow with a car and the cow has a oweee. You got to pay the rancher the value of the cow. Anyone from Montana here? Urban legend? or true? R.I.P.
  2. The skill your describing is necessary for both parties in any long term relaitionship. Work, marriage, children, in laws etc. I know your listening to what I'm saying R.I.P.
  3. Nice stack and photo! But your a crewdog and the person taking the pic was Mr Kent. Thanks for shareing
  4. having been under regular random mortor fire rather recently i'm sorry for your loss, but failure to seek cover when you KNOW you have incomming fire leaves no blame but those under fire..... and not a technological system you 'expect' to work.... "i expect my main to work... i guess i wont bother to bring my reserve..." I agree with you 100% But the powers to be decided for some reason there wasn't a need for bunkers, ditch's, sand bags nothing. Before we went over there we asked about basements, bunkers etc and was told no. That meant to me that the risk was minimal at that location. So we figured saudi is a big country a scud is a terror weapon not to accurate play the odds. (Kind of like nam. We were on the air force side of base Army side always got hit.
  5. My neighbor is 20 yr's older than me and I'm old so I know I'll win. I talked to someone about it and they said cool just don't do anything to accelerate the end. The Farmer Mcnasty at Kapow lives close to the DZO. He consumed himself with hate and has been trying to get even for 15 yr's. He's got the video camera and spends alot of time across from the DZ. The man is wasteing his life and will never get it back. If you share a property line with MS Mc crazy How about a privacy fence after a survey? It could drive her to the ice box. You could also try and be a good neighbor and buy her big box's of chocolete BTW Even if you had a good neighbor when you bought the house, neighbor's move, die etc. The next one? Put up big privacy fence IAW local code. R.I.P.
  6. Don't worry it only means that it may happen to you Not that it will happen to you
  7. hi faber your first paragrah sounded like you had spent to much time in speakers corner. then i read the second paragraph and I'm relieved to say the least. Every country has extremists, smart people, stupid people, educated, and uneducated, good, bad, etc. We also have neighbor's even good neighbor's move, change etc. As you can tell by reading Speakers corner we honor free speech also it's not against the law to be "different" (crazy) mean, nasty, etc as long as your not a immediate threat to yourself or others. some laws are getting better IMO stalking is now against the law same with spousal abuse among others. Neighborhood disputes can happen anywhere at any time rich or poor. We just have to try and keep a sense of humor and minimize our exposure. fighting fire with fire isn't the answer the who neighborhood will burn down, Lawyer's like to help but they also like to be paid. Police are limited unless there's a serious threat to life and limb. I like my neighbor's now they can't see our house and they leave us alone. In the future they'll move and we'll have another neighbor. R.I.P.
  8. Hi lady Sorry to hear about your challenge with the business folks from "Take you for a ride" this time they may have messed with the wrong person. IMO Contacting USPA will be good for your paper trail and save a lawyer some time but action wise don't expect to much. Just business. You'll be able to tell whats up when they repond to your letter. The person at "make it happen" IMO could be a valuable resource of information for any civil or criminal action involving "Take you for a ride". aka skyride contact her and see if she's available. IMO any info from her will be solid. Good luck, have patience, don't give up. R.I.P.
  9. very interestingLets hear about the beer there had to be lot's of firsts. kegs green bottles, brown bottles
  10. My neighbor used to be a PIA restraining order court etc. Then i started waving hi at him and smileing so now he hides when he see's me driving by. Things have been quite for a couple years except the dudes wife sked that we stop waving and saying hi. Can't find the dude to wave at he's hiding behind the nearest tree. Decided time for pysch ops. Posted for sale by owner sign on entrance to my property.
  11. Right behind me! Hi prof: found the neon pink and the hawaiin legs so you must be in the blue jumpsuit with the white top (head). SDC must be a nice DZ second tandmen $99 and folks with 250 jumps closing 21 way's. A real testamont to Mr Nelson & the good vibes almost everyone is smiling in the dirt dive.
  12. Thanks rev light green helmet double leg grips 8:45 position got it. looks just like her pic.
  13. We drove together to a new years eve party with another couple and when it was time to leave the designated driver lost his keys. Someone found them in a women's hair, not his girlfriend who lost sight of him at the party. Happy new year! We even all drove home togother some of us was laughing some very.....quiet R.I.P.
  14. It's not as easy as just driving a truck. There all kinds of certifications they have to get. Takes time and money to train them. Much cheaper to call up a guy that has all the requirments and experiance. They may also be short in a certain rank. They mayhave enough drivers, but not enough NCO's to lead them. Many reasons why they would call a guy like him back into service. I am glad they did away with my MOS (actually combined it with another). I did have fears of them trying to call me back as well. I wouldn't be surprised if one day this thing has drug on long enough they try and call up more people that have skills they need. There has to be more to that story then is being told. Soldiers don't have the luxury of refusing to do anything, unless it is an unlawful order. FOr the record, I bet that being a POL driver over there is one of the most dangerous jobs they have do get done. Can you imagine being at a POL site with thousands of gallons of fuel around you and knowing at any time some yahoo can drive up with a car bomb? Orders are orders if i was still eliagble for the IRR I would start eating ice cream aand happy meals, use drugs and marry my second become a bigamist and marry a guy. So I would like to go but damn I can't fit in my uniform, i need daily supply of meth and my boy toy wife is my dependent. Asking a recruiter anything except where to sign is asking for a failure to communicate. There are plenty of folks that would be willing to drive a POL truck in iraq. Army got to put in a request to halliburton, new truck experienced well paid driver, well maintaned truck is on its way. No problemo the fuel is on the way, the bill is in the mail. BTW the experienced NCO? he's retired he works now for haliburton. I think they call that double dipping.
  15. Hard for the officers to deny a video. I'm surprised that someone allowed a video record of the party hardy. Looks like skydiving after hours stuff to me. Even skydivers don't pass around video's. I don't unless anyone want to share please prove me wrong. i won't make a copy I promise, trust me really Damn those poor party animals might get kicked out of iraq or the army. But they could use the video for a movie career. I've heard rumors of the Brit army CRW dogs performing some kind of a pagen ritual dance at night around the fire at the DZ in the US. Sorry no pics so it never happened R.I.P.
  16. Forget the car, with the car unlocked they gonna go for your guns, ammo, knives, C-4, RPG's IED's etc. cars are easy to come by and trace you got the good stuff inside the car. R.i.P.
  17. Sounds like the officer stood up for his troops an is taking the heat. Didn't think it would be the soldiers refusing. They would have done what they were told. As far as all over the news stuff. I try and not listen to the news to much. It is very sad everytime I turn it on. I'm guessing the other direction, The officer had a chance to use her brain, but just said "no me officer"
  18. Agreed I think I got a offical discharge certificate somewhere. Sounds like the guy did his time, there was a clerical error, followed by a gentlemens error. The sad part is the lawyer that had to talk to the Judge to solve a slam dunk doesn't work for free. R.I.P.
  19. PM me if you need hosting. I'm not in ZHills, but where the hosting is as doesn't matter... Yep there's assholes everywhere
  20. first time locked key in self service car wash on a saturday. People behinf us weren't very happy. 2nd time locked key in car at airport parking garage in seatlle. Reimbursed for locksmith
  21. War is like construction big boy's with big toy's shit happens. But in both jobs it can be big shit due to the size of toy's. After Desert storm our planes shot down some UN/american choppers I forget which due to human error. I think they tried to blame that one on the awac's operator. There's also some nasty audio of a american chopper fireing on their own troops during Desert storm.(we don't discrimanate against canucks brits or civies). The dude flying the chopper was the Squadron commander and wanted to fly a combat mission against sitting ducks with his men. He had been ordered to stay behind his desk. He was a little rusty and got confused and shot at the wrong target. Never heard what happened to him. He did feel bad about his error in judgement you can hear it in his voice after he took the shot. War sucks since the beginning of time and we're still doing it. A quote from a change of command ceromony " in spite of what some people think....The military is the oldest profession" R.I.P. R.I.P.
  22. Liberals and moderators are excluded from forum rules. Speakers corner is what it is. IMO it was set up for the outstanding cowboy's. the rules are minimal except you may be offended and you don't have to go there and read the BS in SC. That's the only rule I see. Kill commies kill them befor they kill us. We're doomed we're all doomed. Or just laugh your ass off
  23. Hi Hip During desert storm the earlier model patriot didn't fulfull it's purpose in spit of the video they showed on CNN hitting the scud in daharan saudi. First hand knowledge from a eye witness To bad the Scud got a lucky shot. See previous post . The cypress will only work if its turned on and I don't know if it's 100%. I'd rather rely on low tech jumping pull or die, War sirens go off to signal incoming, find a hole. R.I.P.
