Well, I know. I was kinda exaggerating. I was saying with these risers, that where my hands sit is like at the top of my head, rather than far above me. Whereas before I used to lift my arms all the way up to reach the toggles, giving me more flare space. thx:) Angela.

They have the loops and are velcroless, but seem really short, lol!! Where are your elbows supposed to be when you're holding your brakes but not putting any pressure on them? Like, with the student gear, my arms would have been fully extended. With these, i'm almost in half brakes just resting my hands in the toggles. thx! Angela.

What size are the risers on most student gear? I tried on this used container that was sent to me, but the risers are real short. Is this a bad thing? Can this hinder landings at all? Bad for swooping (eventually)? I see ads for used risers, but have to wonder what size the ones I used before (on student gear and borrowed gear) were. Thanks! Angela.

Awe, it's ok. You'll find friends. I'm sure they'll be others at your dz that are starting out, too:) fwiw, I started alone, too:) Now I have lots of skydiving buddies that I met at different dropzones. And, I got a co-worker in on it as well, he just finished aff! :D Angela. -

Javelin's website has njk listed as holding a reserve 113-120, but many people seem to be selling these as holding a 126r. So, I thought these might be two different beasts. thx. Angela.

it says 5'7" to 5'8", i'm 5'5", but was wondering how large this would be. It is going to be hard to find used gear in the best size for me. I tried the a-14 and it is definitely small in the yoke, tho i'm not sure if I might just get it anyhow. thx. Angela.

There is no info on the Javelin website as to the difference. I only see container info for the njk. Thanks.

Well, if you're meant not to go, something of greater proportion will probably stop you (ie, car breaks down on way to airport, won't check your luggage, alarm clocks don't work, etc, etc. . ) I don't think it sounds like a sign, but if you don't want to go, then why not postpone it? Can't you call the airline and reschedule? Angela

Ray's great!! :D I am pretty new at this, but i've not done too bad lately, about 20 minutes. But, that is putting a 150sf into a bag that I think is made for a 170sf or maybe even a 190sf. So, my time is about to go UP considerably!! Angela.

Oo, we could take pix together in our new used rigs:) Man, it's killin' me.. My rig is at my house, just waiting for me to go there and see what it looks like. My reserve is going to be sent to me next week, and pd is sending that demo to me as we speak. I think i'm gonna go into happy shock soon Angela.
