Well, something I have considered doing and just haven't gotten a good still photo to use is what Bank of America offers. For members of Bank of America they give you the option of putting a background photo of your own on the face of your credit card (FOR FREE!!!) PcCoder.net

Do You Know The EXACT # Of Jumps You Have?
pccoder replied to Kramer's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
I try to log after each jump. Sometimes it takes a few jumps to get to it. But, I never leave the DZ until all my jumps have been logged and signed. PcCoder.net -
I had my first cutaway 2 weeks ago (on rental gear which is charged at $25/jump) and the canopy was never found. I was told by the people at Manifest, that is why it costs what it does to rent. To cover the loss/destruction of rental gear so the renter doesn't have to pay for it. PcCoder.net

I bought mine a few months ago and still am waiting on Sunpath to finish my Javelin Odyssey!!! Supposed to be done on July 27, so after that I really can't wait to use my new gear. All the info in this forum about the openings has been nice to hear, too bad my rigger who recommended this "all around" canopy to me never mentioned them. I've jumped a Spectre 170 for the last 70 jumps probably, so I do anticipate a much more fun ride. PcCoder.net

Of course, it's probably healthy to remember that your gear was made by humans, who make mistakes, and it's critical that you take the necessary steps to ensure your gear is in good shape. That and a slight bit of luck and you are going to probably be ok. PcCoder.net

Are you a "goal oriented" skydiver?
pccoder replied to skybytch's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
Very much so. I agree. I have always found that trying to achieve something new with regards to this sport has always driven me more than anything else. PcCoder.net -

Jumping through clouds, in my country...
pccoder replied to metalslug's topic in Safety and Training
Somehow we managed to fall through a good 20 seconds of total whiteness last weekend. It was a bit unnerving. PcCoder.net -
Yes, I saved both of the handles. PcCoder.net

Nope, in this case, I was told that as this is rented gear AND I did not pack the canopy, I am not responsible. In addition, I am told by the DZ that is why they charge $25/jump for rental gear; it is their own little piece of insurance. Also, I have rented for 95 jumps now (not to mention all the other jumpers renting the same gear). Thats about $2300 (from me alone) give or take a little as some jumps were free, so they have certainly gotten their monies worth out of that rig. PcCoder.net

Yes, I felt pretty pumped up. My reserve packer came out and gave me a big hug, made me feel a little emotional. Was happy that she saved my life. And yes, I am glad to finally get it done, I knew it was just a matter of time, only thought it was going to take a bit longer. PcCoder.net

It was a staff pack job. It was rented gear (thank goodness as the main and bag have not been found yet). Gear was - 190 Spectre / Vector 3. Funny thing was I had been jumping a 170 Spectre all day long (previous 5 jumps) and someone had asked me to switch so a smaller jumper could use the 170, so I said ok. PcCoder.net

I had my first cutaway yesterday *Jump 95) and it happened so quickly I am trying to remember all that happened. From my explanation to those on the ground it appeared as if all the lines on the left side were between the lines on the right (as if a step through had occured). Does anyone have a picture or video of this? I'd like to see again to confirm. PcCoder.net

nope, still $17 to 15,000. but, our DZ owner also owns the fuel pump at the airport. PcCoder.net
