  1. I'd be curious to see what you've come up with. I had started a project about a year ago trying build the same and lost interest (mostly knowing it would never really pay anything). Regardless, I would like to see some screen shots. What development platform have you used? What is your database? What OS will you require? Thanks. PcCoder.net
  2. Thanks everyone for your answers. I have two children, live with my girlfriend and work fulltime during the week. I have plenty of responsibilities and find that the whole dropzone lifestyle (jump at day and party at night) doesn't fit into my routine like it would have 10 years ago. So, I suppose part of me is jealous that it is all happening around me and I find myself feeling like an outsider for these beer purchases followed by drinking and discussion at the end of the day (I can't remember EVER being there at the end of the day). I typically, show up, do 3, 4, 5, etc. jumps and then go home. I enjoy the company of the friends I jump with and always look forward to returning and jumping with them again. However, that's about as far as it ever goes. We don't hang out afterward or drink, etc. once the jumping is over. Not that I don't want to, it's just that I've gotten older and don't have all the time I had when I was younger and was only responsible for myself. Thanks again for all the input. PcCoder.net
  3. Where did this rule come from? Some of us don't drink and feel sort of pressured to buy beer for everyone to drink (even though some of us do not) whenever we do something new. Could this system be changed? PcCoder.net

All butts are created equally. Unfortuantely, they don't all turn out that way in the end. PcCoder.net

  8. I know its not really all that long compared to so many others, but tomorrow I will be jumping for the 1st time in 6 weeks. Up until this I have gone maybe 3 1/2 weeks between jumps. The hurricanes here in Florida, moving into a new house and going on vacation has had me out of the game for a little while. I am really looking forward to going again tomorrow. I truly miss it.

  10. Skydive Space Center (Titusville) was flying tandems yesterday. PcCoder.net
  11. I agree, probably just from not eating enough that day, being a bit stressed from the experience. PcCoder.net
  12. I guess I have always been sort of afraid of heights. Not really any more now that I skydive. But, I have spent alot of time in the wind tunnel in Orlando and can't really remember ever feeling afraid of heights in it. You'd have to really screw up hard with 200 jumps worth of experience to fall and get hurt in the wind tunnel. Basically, don't sweat it. PcCoder.net
  13. word i received from stacey at manifest is that they did not suffer any damages. PcCoder.net
  14. i belive its simply using muscles more than they ever get used on a normal basis. and it's not just that they are being used, it's that they are being worked really hard. PcCoder.net
  15. Taking tandems up right now. PcCoder.net
  16. Skydive Space Center is taking loads up NOW. No damage and they are desperately needing jumpers, so if you have the time come out and help these starving souls who have had no work for about a month. I am calling Skydive Sebastian right now (getting all circuits are busy now messages from phone company). If anyone else knows the status of this DZ, please report. PcCoder.net
  17. well, lost power at 5am sunday morning. saturday night was LOUD. the front of the house (facing east) was a constant beating from palm debris, mulch, dirt, wind, rain. i had leaks in the foyer by the front door, shingles all over the yard and the lake. roof making really nice rattlling sounds in the end, not really any damage which couldn't be fixed up rather quickly. many others weren't so lucky, so I am fortunate. power finally came back on last night. 2pm in florida heat without power sucks. I hope everyone else made it without too much trouble. I look forward to being able to jump again (some day) if the rains will stop hitting us every other weekend. PcCoder.net
  18. typically they pull you over and then ask you if you know how fast you are going, then you answer, then they write you a ticket if you don't show them enough tity PcCoder.net
  19. Well, earlier this week I had planned on going to Skydive Space Center and get some jumps in today. Instead, I sit here with my daughter, girlfriend and mother at my house watching CNN and talking shit. by the way, I have watched two trees so far get uprooted in my yard, and that was just during the past two hours. fun fun. 20. alot of prices, but not too many people talking about altittude. Skydive Space Center has done $17 jumps from 15,000 - 16,000 the first half of 2004. And that is from a King Air with only 7 minutes to altitude. they recently took it back to $19 for the same jump. and $24 to 18,000 ft. PcCoder.net

    Women Drivers

thank you very much. the reason I stopped riding my motorcycle was the time I slid across the intersection on my side when a FEMALE driver entered the intersection when she had a red light and I dropped the bike to avoid hitting her. PcCoder.net

    Jump to Forum

Isn't it ironic that the term "Jump to Forum" is the text used on that button on the bottom of the screen? I guess it could have been "Leap to Forum", "Fly to Forum", "Head down to Forum" hee hee. PcCoder.net
