I had also only heard good things about the PC1000 and was planning on buying on this week. would people be able to enlighten me in any major flaws in it so i dont make a bad buy =) is it mainly the battery duration that is the main factor. cause eventually i will be wanting to get into videoing tandems. Thanks in advance Life is Great. Even Greater what we do with it.

i have been playing with front risers pretty much since my 3rd jump. during my aff i would ask one of the chief instructors drills to do under canopy... i think my first taste at them was trying to warp my canopy.. pull down on left back riser and right front riser apparently its a useful thing CRW people do when waiting for slots on big stacks. Since then i have been using my rears and fronts on pretty much every jump. Life is Great. Even Greater what we do with it.

Packing - leaving 24 inches of line between the last stow and the risers
Maxim replied to lintern's topic in Gear and Rigging
i think someone told me once it used to be the in thing to freestow all your lines once apon a time. i have packed with lots of left over lines and bearly any never had a problem. not saying though that the extra line couldnt cause a problem. cause you would think so. but i myself have not had a problem. Crew and Base canopys also freestow all there lines. in tail pockets. Life is Great. Even Greater what we do with it. -

Hello, I was wondering if anyone could help me. I have been looking at a sony camera i live in australia so PAL. and off ebay i can get a PAL model of the same camera for considerably cheaper. it gets shipped from hong kong, the only thing i have been told that because of copyright laws in some countries some camera are not able to firewire footage from camera to camera. I rang up sony them self and they are not sure if this is true or not cause they dont support foreign cameras. Was wondering if anyone can shed some light on this subject for me thanks. set up a camera on the edge of a bridge facing straight down. jump off facing the bridge.. try the 2 methods of turning as soon as canopy opens. see which method puts you more under the bridge.. you wont be able to get opening locations the same but you should be able to see the difference on camera. maybe another person filming from the ground to get the canopy sink aswell. now all you would need is someone who lives close to a nice height bridge =) Life is Great. Wouldnt deploying a base canopy also be considered as an "emergency" cause if we dont deploy it we die =) Life is Great. Even Greater what we do with it.

By this are you saying he released only the left toggle? so by doing so would have turned the canopy into the wall before it started turning the right way. cause the right was still stowed in half breaks? saying that i dont know if skydiving would have helped the situation im normally always on rears untill the airspace is clear then unstow my breaks. I think where you might be getting a bit confused here. BASE gear does not use a D-bag.. the bridle and pilot chute is connected straight to the canopy. doing a static line wont leave any gear behind. Seen people just put a few wraps of masking tape on there bridle to the handrail and go for it. Life is Great. Even Greater what we do with it.

Yeah the question was ment to mean if you have hit the object and sliding down it. not stuck on the object, but all good reading anyway. Im still only jumping antenna's. no cliffs or buildings yet. so bad as im a high rise window cleaner and being on the top of a building every day. and not being able to jump them haha. Life is Great. Heya, Just was thinking tonight. iv seen a few video's of object strikes where the people involved end up either just sliding down the wall to impact, or the canopy collapsing. So the question is. if you find yourself against a wall with a bit of altitude what is the best way to get yourself off the wall? Thanks Life is Great. Even Greater what we do with it.
