1. I load the canopy at 1:1 2. The canopy only has 10 jumps on it. 3. The lines have just 10 jumps as well. Also, the lines are dacron I think. They are not the micr lines... Much thicker and more stretchy. 4. I don't know the size of the PC nor the # of jumps it has, but it does look a bit dirty and old compared to the chute. One thing I will say is that the slider is having a tough time coming down to the links. I am sure the slider may be the biggest problem. In fact after my control check typically the slider is still a good 6" up the lines. Flaring doesn't seem to bring it down, so when I got to colapes it, I have to first pull it down with my hand. I asked my rigger about the size of the slider and he said it was the correct size, and shouldn't be a problem. Don't get me wrong...I like the soft openings, but, I just feel like I have to pull higher than I normally would. I jumped a helicopter the other day, and was quite nervous. My hard deck is 2500, and if that thing isn't fully inflated, I am getting rid of it. I jumped at 5k, was terminal at around 4k, pitched at ~3800, and was luckily just open before 2500. On my last 8 jumps with this chute, once I pitch th pc, I feel something slapping me on my sides and back for about 4-5 seconds. It is the closing flaps on the rig. I am still falling pretty f'in quick 4-5 seconds into opening. Chris ----------------------------------------------------- Sometimes it is more important to protect LIFE than Liberty

I have a triathlon 190 which is VERY snively... we're talking 1200-1500ft openings. This is when packed by a couple riggers I know. They do NOT roll the nose, and when jumping other rigs packed by them the openings were much sharper and quicker. I packed the chute myself the otherday and it took about 1100 ft from pull to open. My question is, if I flat pack it, will it more than likely open quicker than a pro pack would? Well, let's face it, in a day and age when a USB cable cost $40 sometimes it's just eisier to make a cable. I am at work right now so I can't go to the store. I have all the tools I need so I figure ...why not. Chris ----------------------------------------------------- Sometimes it is more important to protect LIFE than Liberty

When I peeled it back, there are 2 sets of wires. An outer set, then a yellow insulation with copper core. Do I cross both together? or are they separate feeds? ----------------------------------------------------- Sometimes it is more important to protect LIFE than Liberty

A Marine colonel on his way home from work at the Pentagon came to a dead halt in traffic and thought to himself, "Wow, this traffic seems worse than usual. Nothing's even moving." He notices a police officer walking back and forth between the lines of cars, so he rolls down his window and asks, "Officer, what's the hold up?" The Officer replies, "The President is just so depressed about the thought of moving with Hillary to New York that he stopped his motorcade in the middle of the Beltway and he's threatening to douse himself in gasoline and set himself on fire. He says his family hates him and he doesn't have the money to pay for the new house. I'm walking around taking up a collection for him." "Oh really? How much have you collected so far?" "So far about three hundred gallons, but a lot of folks are still siphoning." -manbottle.com- ----------------------------------------------------- Sometimes it is more important to protect LIFE than Liberty

Mine has its own spot too... In my closet, in a bag, under lots of clothes. I have a cat that would just love to tear it apart, so I figured I should just hide that thing. I tried packing that thing for 2 hours last night. I looked at thismorning and decided I am not jumping that pack job. I'll pay the $5 and let someone else do it. ----------------------------------------------------- Sometimes it is more important to protect LIFE than Liberty

Congrats man... I just did my "FIRST" jump on my new rig last weekend. Javlin J4 w/ triathlon 190. It was great knowing this was my equipment, and the fit was soooo much better than the student shit I have been renting!!! ----------------------------------------------------- Sometimes it is more important to protect LIFE than Liberty

Ok, so I am borrowing my Epson Projector from work so I can watch movies on my wall at home. The only problem is, I don't want to use my laptops audio, I want to run the audio through my Home stereo system (RCA connection). I have Dell Lattitude computer, and the only adiou jack is the headphones type. How do I connect it to the stereo? Is there a headphones to RCA converter out there? Help, the lord of the Rings movie is calling me. Chris ----------------------------------------------------- Sometimes it is more important to protect LIFE than Liberty

Trust me I know what you mean. In fact, I had to change my name because of another person here who dumped in my mail. I didn't agree with it, but what the greenies told me was: It is called PM (PRIVATE) for a reason. Try your best not to post PM's and do you best just to ignor the A-hole who is pissing you off. Well, I talked to the Doc about the cat. They are dosing him up on lots of drugs, and today/tonight they may let us visit. The didn't want us to visit before cuz the cat was still in the ICU, and they didn't want to move him. I got a call late last night with some good news finally. He is now starting to eat, and he has been trying to get up and walk around..even puting weight on his bad leg. She said he is doing 1000 times better and is being very affectionate. If today he is even better we may be able to take him home. As much as I miss him though, I would rather he stay there where they can give hime drugs. I just got word from the Vet... Shadow isn't doing too good. He seems to be in a great deal of pain, a lot more so than they thought he would be in . They say he is healthy though and should still fully rcover, but it may take longer than origionally believed. Looks like I have to pay for another night in the kitty hospital. I think he needs a bit more support. Thos bastards won't even let Sarah and I visit the poor thing. ----------------------------------------------------- Sometimes it is more important to protect LIFE than Liberty

To put it out there so you do not have to click the link. The new minimum jump # to be eligable for a licence are as follows: A- 25 jumps B- 50 jumps c- 200 jumps D- 500 jumps This takes effect sept 30th. All those getting their respective licences prior to that date will be able to maintain that that licence. ----------------------------------------------------- Sometimes it is more important to protect LIFE than Liberty

Yeah... I found out the hard way about 2 weeks ago what jumping in the rain was like. High clouds no rain at the surface, but at 10K it hurt like a MO-FO. By the time i reached the ground it was raining there too. Raining under canopy... It sucked. except that it was my FIRST 4-way.
