everyone i know in Europe that did FJC's went over to the states to do them! I feel it depends on what you want to learn.......... if you want to learn to jump off a cliff then you can do the Norway course - but if you want a more comprehensive course then the manufacturers courses in the States are far the best way to go.............
-

the sky is not going anywhere............... why risk being out for longer if you dont need to................? what happens is you have a shit landing and hit your fingers down and the fracture becomes worse? wait until you are 100%............... its just not worth it...........

yes it does apply to skydivers - even more so I think.................... I have had more negativity in regard to BASE accidents and deaths from skydivers rather than whuffo (skydiver whuffo) non parachutists..................so what does that tell you about skydivers??? this sort of post dissing "skydiver whuffos" reallly does annoy me - as the most "whuffo" person I ever meet is always a skydiver!!! hypocrites.......................
-
london driving really is jungle rules............. I have had a couple of friends on bikes have hit n runs................... its a jungle out there!!!
-
hey dude............. i guess that news sucks like nothing else............. you have some big choices to make................. there is nothing to say you cant still be involved in skydiving - you can study and work with parachutes and become the most anal knowldegable person you can - just because you dont jump does not mean you cant know alot about parachutes!! be strong dude............ I know my short time out makes me frustrated, and i have also thought about what I would do if I could never jump again - I would be an equipment and technical freak just so I still have a hand in the sport I love............................ be cool dude...................

sub 250 feet area: flik 293v-tech/covers vs. fox285v-tech/covers
BASE813 replied to panavision's topic in Archive
sorry dude I was not trying to be picky - I just thought 5 secs was short. Time has a way of distorting for some reason in BASE!! I like to calculate exactly canopy flight times to help me determine opening heights and delays etc - its just me being a tad too anal I guess! apologies............... -
you know its not that different to the comments I received from skydivers after getting injured BASE jumping - I went to the DZ and some comments from experienced skydivers are "well what do you expect" or it "serves you right". There reaction to dead BASE jumpers are generally the same..............and I would expect more from a skydiver! its all relative my friend - one persons madness is anothers sanity......................

What delay are you doing from this? 5 secs sounds very short for this config / jump......... is the canopy time videod? I only ask as I was getting 5 sec canopy rides from 220ft freefalls with 46" and 42" PC's and unvented canopy (266) and velcro container with 1 / 1.5 sec delays...... sorry just me being curious...............
