My family is not religeous, so we just get together because there is no work. Lots of food and salads and swimming and suntanning and ice cream and drinks and watermelon and litchis and and and.... We stopped the presents pretence when we were all old enough and we decide to rather reward ourselves with something we really want as a reward for working hard though the year. It is more of a chilled, all get together and relax kind of day! Easter? I don't think I have ever been around for that holiday anyway, no work and lots of holidays. Bad TV and too much chocolate. Coming from the tip of Africa, we often sit back and watch the goings on around the world with interest. Sometimes with comments, sometimes we get involved (We have lost guys in Iraq too you know!) Alot of the time there is too much blame going around and not enough fixing. I have for the past week seen my friends all turn on eachother for no reason what so ever. Do you want to be right, or do you want to be happy? I personally want to be happy. There is no real need to be getting aggressive to anyone, especially when it is nearing the end of the year and tempers flare up sooner rather than later and everyone is at wits end. We all lose friends in this sport and we need to stick by eachother over the bad times, so we can still have and remember the good times when they come again... I had a great 10 year, probably because I was very quiet at school. I was in all the top sports teams etc, but I never made a fuss. Now I am quite successful in a career that some of the snobs wanted but did not get accepted to college for and I am in magazines and newspapers all the time for skydiving and they are all very impressed. Oh and I "filled out" a bit since then, and I received an award for the "Most amazing Face" when I was there alongside my primary school boyfriend. How cute! HI, I have a GTI and it is awesome. Definately not old technology. It whips ass with the best of them for sure! It is also how you fly and it is a great suit to learn in and kick ass in when you are good at it. It is not too radical to put on your body for the first time! To be exact, the South African Licence requirements are below. Many countries differ: 2 SKYDIVING CLASSIFICATIONS 2.1 LICENCES The NSTO shall approve the issue of all parachuting licences. REQUIREMENTS • A Licence − At least 25 parachute descents. − Complete a PASA Progression Programme. − Complete the Intermediate Skills Programme. − Have received instruction in packing a main parachute. − Pass the A Licence test as administered by the CI. • B Licence − At least 75 free fall descents. − Hold a valid A Licence. − Prior to jumping non-student equipment: o have received an advanced canopy control briefing (logged) o have demonstrated safe, competent canopy control to the satisfaction of his CI (own spot) − Obtained Category III status in a recognised discipline. − Pass the B Licence test as administered by the CI. • C Licence − 200 free fall descents. − Hold a valid B Licence. − One intentional night jump − A planned water jump briefing by his CI − Demonstrated his ability to his SO/CI to spot safely and competently − Have passed the C Licence test as administered by the CI. − Have complied with the C Licence minima in a recognised discipline. • D Licence − 500 free fall descents. − Hold a valid C Licence. − Participated in the S.A. National Championships in a recognised discipline. − One night skydive with at least one other skydiver of the same discipline. − Successfully completed a PASA-approved JM course or the D Licence written test. − Have complied with the D Licence minima in a recognised discipline. − Have attended a PASA sanctioned Boogie.
