  1. Fastow was given a reduced sentence because of volunteer work he has done since his arrest, such as mowing the lawn... http://blogs.wsj.com/law/2006/09/21/yes-andy-fastow-has-mowed-the-lawn/ I don't really agree with it, but I'd rather see him serve less time than [fill in the blank]. .-.
  2. 1. The court allows the pictures (evidence) based on whether or not it feels it is pertinent to the prosecution's (or defendant's) case. Obviously they felt that the pictures showed how intentional and ruthless the murders were. Pictues are better than words. I'm not sure why you don't see that as being relevant to convicting a murderer. 2. I think you are saying that there are humans existant in this world who are not influenced by any outside media? The jurors are selected based on actual tendencies they may have, such as if they are adverse to police officers, or if they don't like white people. I don't think you will find many people who are not influenced by the media during a trial. 3. You should research the definition of a fair trial. There are many factors invovled that could lead the court to believe that an unfair trial took place. It doesn't matter whether the defendant committed the crime or not. That doesn't negate the fact that there is a system in place with rules that need to be followed. No, the legal system in this country is not perfect, but it's damn close and as good as it gets. I'm just a law student, so don't take what I've said to heart. .-.
  3. And people wonder why the US uses so much technology that comes out of Israel... .-.

  8. Going to be in San Juan for about two weeks mid april. I know there is a DZ there but I can't seem to find definitive information about the DZ such as what type of plane they use during this time and what the scene is like (fun jumpers or mostly students??). Can someone fill me in? Thanks. .-.
  9. what kind of question is that? how about drugs might influence your productivity/punctuality? go buy Vales detox, works like a charm. .-.
  10. The majority of my personal statement submitted to law schools was centered around skydiving. I'm not sure yet if it was a good or bad idea because I am still waiting to hear back. However, I would say it could be an advantage to bringing that up with an employer. The first reason being that if it's going to cause a conflict, you might want to deal with that before taking that job. Second, I've found most people are very intrigued by the sport and it makes you out to be an energetic person which most companies look for. Good luck. .-.

  14. Heh, alright, I'm done with my own thread here...I think I made the point I was trying to make. I expect a premium product when I pay a premium price. I'm not bickering over $75, just that I expected something else. .-.
  15. They are entitled to make a profit, but for $75, I would expect a piece of foam that actually makes the rig more comfortable. I'm more than happy to pay extra for comfort... .-.
  16. Why call it deluxe than? Why not say what it is? I don't find an accurate description of it on their options guide, any reason? I'm happy with the rig, just thought it was curious they are selling a piece of foam to me for $75, why not make it standard? .-.
  17. So maybe I'm missing something, but I looked deep into the back of my container through the top of where the Cypres sits and I saw what I think is the "deluxe foam backpad" that I paid SEVENTY FIVE dollars for. Turns out its a 1/4 inch sheet of foam. Am I missing something here? .-.

  20. Just got my V3 Micron and everything about it is real nice. However, its a bit uncomfortable right under the shoulder area where the hard housing for the cutaway cables are. Does this go away after I use it for a bit and it breaks in? Also, the Cypres takes quite a bit of effort to get to. I find it hard to believe that theres no other way to set it up. .-.
  21. "I work for a friend who sells alot on EBAY. She wishes that she never got involved with BUYSAFE. After she signed up she started getting so much junk mail and sales phone calls. She even filed a complaint report with a local consumer protection authority. I think BUYSAFE gets your information and sells it to anyone who will buy it. My friend is scared because they even have her social security number, birthday, bank account numbers and credit card. This is identity theft stuff is terrible." .-.
