I had one for about 1000 jumps. Every once in a while, it would just tweak me the wrong way. And, yes I was flickin' it. No damage, but I have a lovely bumpy sack that now resides on my shoulder. I stand corrected. I'll change that to "Partially Exposed Pop Top". The bottom line is that there are different theories as to why one would prefer one style over the other. Pro: Theoretically opens faster. (But then Mirage bosts the stiffest reseve spring on the market to compensate for that. Well. They did until the Icon came along. Both these containers have quite the powerful springs.) Con: With a poor reserve pack job, the pop top can stick out and cause a possible snag point. I have never seen that happen myself. There is a lot less exposure than on a fully exposed pop top like a Racer, Reflex or a Tear Drop. Again. These are just my opinions. Consider it a taste of information. That is a great idea. However that luxury is not the reality of most smaller drop zones. If you are not in a So. Cal or Florida mecca, it's hard to demo a variety of containers. I agree. Little did my Gravity Gear customers know that I was breast feeding while I had my headphones on giving Gear Consultaions and taking phone orders. Sorry for the visual. It gets a bit more challenging as they grow. But I had the pleasure of bringing my daughter to work every day for two and a half years. At that point she needed more stilmulation and I needed a break. She is intelligent beyond her years. I think that parent interaction in the first couple of years is awesome.
