Then the American pronunciation of Kawasaki must drive you crazy.

I'm sure that McConnell will push to wait for the new President to nominate a justice next year.

Pretty much. There might not be that many "bad apples," but there are even fewer good cops that will rat them out. I shake my head, thinking about my own employers (semiconductor design companies) having similar employee culture. None would have stayed in business. Yes, you get people protecting marginally competent friends, but nobody I ever worked with would protect criminal or grossly incompetent coworkers. Good riddance, and get back to busting our asses.

Had McCain chosen Kasich as VP, they likely would have won, and Kasich would be President now. I disagree with both of them on some issues, but they would not have used the office to line their own pockets, and would not have lost American stature and influence in the world.

It's sort of true. Had Biden run in 2016, he might have won. It was his choice not to run.

Something we agree on.

I'd be making sure your Vitamin D count is above 30ng/ml for sure, 40ng/ml would be better. If that means supplements, I'd be taking K2 also. Latest data is showing good correlation (bad result) with low D, but not as much risk of Covid death with obesity as had been thought.

Does your wife have an HSA? Does her employer contribute to it? When my wife worked for a medical device company, she had a moderate deductible (something in the $2500 range, can't remember exactly), but her employer contributed to her HSA which effectively significantly cut that deductible to close to the ~$600 range which we were accustomed to in earlier days.

Biden was out riding a bike 3-4 weeks ago and talking to reporters and others, not that long after Trump could barely walk down a ramp.

Looks like it started under the Obama administration.

Last I knew, Kenosha Wisconsin, pressing for a transparent investigation.

Even if he did say "I never said that," he wouldn't be credible.

This interview is very interesting. It really does give a lot of insight to Trump's thinking. As John Kelly said, "he came to realize that Trump simply does not understand non-transactional life choices. " i.e., Trump doesn't even understand someone doing something when it doesn't personally benefit them, much less engage in such behavior himself, ever.

Stay tuned, phlegm at 11.

There often are, in the primary.

So at a Trump rally in NH, there was an announcement made asking the crowd to wear masks, as is mandated by the state government -- they booed. Can you imagine how different their behavior might have been if Trump had said months ago that everyone should be wearing masks, and done so himself? We would be at the new infection / new death rate of Germany.

Excess deaths is important data, but not all encompassing. We doubtless have less deaths from influenza this year, since many people were taking Covid precautions that also cut way down on flu transmission. People are more reluctant to go to the doctor, for fear of catching Covid, so there will be some increase in non-Covid deaths as a result. Death data comes several weeks after infection, so detection of the trend in number of infections comes much later. That said, with the typical test result delays we have in the US, the testing isn't of the value that it should be.

Jerry, I think Ron was actually referring to himself, as he has said in the past.

Yes, but they have found that one doesn't have to tell the truth. You don't have to actually believe things are true to say or repeat them, you just have to wish they were true, or think that it helps your evil purpose to repeat them.

You beat me to it. Actually may be more like Nov 14th, with all the mail in ballots.

Last week. Today. Today. Last week. This summation you quote gets an "A" grade for bullshit. Maybe A+. People that espouse such specious lies show a bias antithetical to american ideals, not a patriotic one.
