Palin is looking more like someone competing with McCain in a primary, than someone running as VP on the ticket. Would McCain be seen as being incompetent for having picked her to begin with (ok, maybe he already is) and then changing, or would he be seen as someone willing to recognize a mistake and correct it? Would it increase or decrease the votes for McCain?

Look up Powell's record on My Lai.

Is it just me, or does that look staged?
-
Well, I'm sure that will sway a lot of voters.

Your choice, but be ready to spend just as much on bribes.

And this is my impression of Dick Cheney. -
Where are the corporate taxes in there?

Those are marketing/revenue decisions, nothing to do with patents. -

No, but you can ride in the front passenger seat.

I was thinking something similar, like limiting all vehicles over a certain width to a designated lane.

You mean that she won't keep her grandbaby's father from getting into Alaska U when he dumps her daugher after the election? -
Well, only by supporters at his rally.

Gotta start lining up those post-inaugural speaking engagements.

Well, she was found to have abused her power, but not to have violated any Alaskan laws. I read about 50 pages of the findings/testimony, etc., and it is interesting. Not a trait that I want in public office, although I would say nearly all elected officials are guilty of similar actions/inactions. -
I saw 15 turkeys on my street this morning. Several were running, but not for office. One maverick turkey just stood there, separate from the herd, as I drove past.

I would buy more J&J in this market, but I already have a lot. Maybe PG as a similar type of company. I bought a couple of stocks in that last week, and am already down $10k on them.

Certainly some of the firearm homicides and suicides would be done other ways, in absence of easy gun access. Interestingly, some other states have more suffocation suicides than gunshot. OTOH, a good number of homicides from gunshot wouldn't happen by other method. Guns just work really well for that compared to the alternatives, which require more planning and/or strength, and more risk of not succeeding.

Gotta smoke that peace pipe.

Where do you get that? Here are 3 plots of that data breakdown attached. As you can see, there are more gun deaths than drownings. You included only the 3 "other" firearm deaths, and left out homicide and suicide firearm deaths. My attached plots do not include under 1 year old. Sadly one firearm homicide, 1 drowning homicide and one drowning accidental death for this age. Edit to add: in your original plot, all but ~300 of those "medical" deaths were under 1 year old.

Except the mortgage, zero, and I could pay that off in cash if I so desired. "Normal" years, I save about half of my after-tax income, assuming that I'm not buying a car (I'm 54 years old, on my 3rd car) or something. I do need to do about $250k in house renovations, so I will probably take on some more mortgage debt.

No, more like 70% (by weight), the rest being oxygen.
