  1. As you wish... How about a graph of DEBT vs GNP. IMO it's the cumulative debt we carry that is the real problem. There will be a point where service on the debt will become unsustainable without massive new revenue or very high inflation. The US economy at present resembles a huge pyramid scheme that requires ever increasing growth to sustain itself. The problem with projecting growth forever is that it is simply not sustainable. Nothing grows forever unless there are unlimited resources. We are already beginning to see the limits of our resources, even if some choose to ignore that inconvenient fact. illegible usually
  2. I'm not trying to make that point (at least intentionally). All i'm saying is he states that "our" country is being overrun (when referring to the US). The simple fact is, it was never his to begin with. He has a claim to be a citizen of that place because of a generational move on the part of an ancestor, and that people are always going to want to make a better life for themselves, hence we still see movement and migration of people. He has carved out a slice of life for himself there based on what he now owns, but does he own America? No, he owns a plot of land (i presume), you know, house, yard, maybe business premises etc, but the land itself has been taken from the original inhabitants in the first place anyway. That dog won't hunt neither... Give it a rest. illegible usually
  3. Instead of just chasing money? Wouldn't it be nice if they would... illegible usually
  4. I'd suggest if you want to talk about Intelligence, that you at least learn to spell it. Now that's funny Just think though, if not for all the arguably stupid people in FLA that didn't know how to read a ballot in 2000, we probably would be arguing about something totally different now. illegible usually
  5. True enough. The majority of people that voted for Kerry are are also stupid. Unfortunately there are just a whole lot of stupid people in this great country illegible usually
  6. I heard part of that address. Good job! And good hunting... illegible usually
  7. Absolutely not. Yea, I'm worried about China - a little bit. They won't bomb us though, the war will be economic and the score so far says they may be winning. illegible usually
  8. That's classic. Are you really worried about China? The current path of our leaders is a much greater threat than the tech they had already pirated... Try another diversion, this one isn't working illegible usually
  9. Source Bill? Who was asking the questions? illegible usually
  10. Is today. http://www.unfpa.org/news/news.cfm?ID=643 What are you doing to help? illegible usually

  13. There are unfortunately many who do not value freedom. Hopefully those of us that do can repair the damage done by those who would prefer any opposition be silenced. illegible usually
  14. Your statement also seem to apply to Rush Limbaugh (esp the addict parts) illegible usually
  15. ??? Where would this not work? Seems to me to be a fairly easy task anywhere there are cars available. illegible usually
  16. That's just wrong (the fact that you have a camel toe web site bookmarked is also disturbing...) illegible usually
  17. Just one more example where greed trumps national interests. The officers of this bank and all officials that allow this should be sent to jail for aiding and abetting. illegible usually

  19. I would certainly think so also. We have backed ourselves over a barrel though and it will be tough to develop a solution that doesn't involve a lot of sacrifice of some sort. Our current administration appears to have decided that we will sacrifice people (terrorists, Iraqis and US soldiers) instead of convenience, power and $$$. Has less actual impact on the average voter that way. I'm still pretty comfy in my office behind my keyboard. My neice in Afganistan is likely to be a bit less comfy though. illegible usually
  20. Because the guys with the $$ also have our oil buried in their desert. illegible usually
  21. Bill, I'm going to side w/ jd on this. It would be entirely constitutional to tax churches IF all churches were taxed equally. Most churches are tax exempt anyway by their non-profit status, and some non-recognized, for profit churches do, in fact pay taxes. Now I don't know if these guys http://www.geocities.com/presleyterian_church/ pay taxes but I bet they legally should (if they actually make any $$ that is) edit to add illegible usually
  22. I'll agree with that. HOWEVER as has been said before, there is a difference. We (The US) do really TRY to not kill the people we aren't aiming at. There are bad people everywhere, even in our armed forces, but I'll stick with our current govm't above the one that OBL would prefer. Iraq was the wrong war, we should have finished with Afganistan first, but Iraq is not the cause of this. Only the removal of religious fanatics from the educational system will reduce the numbers of recruits for the terrorists. How to do that is another question. illegible usually
  23. A semantic point. The murders goal is to spread their particular version of Islam throughout the world. Killing innocent people is just their means to an end. illegible usually
  24. With that in mind I'll admit he's probably not a traitor. Those that trust Rove were (probably) not betrayed. He might have tried to screw others and he may have committed an illegal act, but I for one never trusted him in the first place illegible usually
  25. Denis Livchenskiy accidentally "landed" a wingsuit (touched down before reaching line stretch) and lived. He was in the hospital for about a week. This was probably 4 years ago. As far as the original post? I'd like to see: (a) a 100% reliable parachute system (b) a parachute that opens in whatever direction the user designates at pull time (c) a parachute that always opens on heading (unless we can get b) (d) a parachute that packs itself illegible usually
