I would say that outside of skydiving - this may be a really good idea. Unfortunately, we are not playing checkers here. We are jumping out of planes. There isn't enough time to dick around on this one. She could get hurt while you are trying to dilly-dally with her ego. This persons perspective is a dangerous one. The best skydivers are inherently humble; particularly to those with more experience (i.e. jump numbers) then them. She will NEED to learn this. I'm not sure what is the 100% correct way to handle this but I do have some political advice for you. You could: 1) talk to the S&TA and have them sit down and explain the situation 2) find someone of authority who you happen to know that she respects (perhaps a former AFF/AFP instructor) and have that person go over things with her. or 3) TAKE HER OUT BACK AND BEAT THE SHIT OUT OF HER! j/k Seriously though, this person needs to be condescended upon by someone who she respects in the sport. I doubt that she already thinks she know EVERYTHING. Who could?

Lots of them. That is one of the best residuals of being a skydiver.

Skydiving is a small community. My advice to you would be to go somewhere else - only if you aren't getting what you are paying for (that is - how to skydive and stay alive.) But be diplomatic about it. Tell the DZ you are dealing with how you feel, if they can't come to terms with your perception of the deal, then off you should go. Just my 2Cents.

LOL The irony of it all. I DID get into skydiving because of a relationship... Then got out of the same relationship because of skydiving. Passion (for skydiving) conquers all. It's GREAT!!!

Sorry to miss out on the fun over the past weekend. Darn it!!! I was planning a snowboarding trip for months. It just happened to fall on the weekend that it went above my temperature limit (60 DEGREESSSSS!!!!!) DAM DAM DAM!!!! Hope everyone had enough freefly fun to share.

I just could never figure out why it is soooo important TO SELECT A PARTUCULAR RELIGION in order to be spiritual. Who said that this was necessary? Dude, I am sure that she would simply be flattered if you just said that you "think that she seems interesting" and that you "would like to get to know her better". Ask if she drinks coffee, if not...tea?? if not, how bout a quick bite to eat at a cafe sometime... Keep it light..like it is no big deal to you and she'll probably take the bate. Good luck!

They are a unique looking suit because they handle a lot of custom orders. You can pretty much design whatever you want and order it from them. Not every suit manufacturer will do this without charging twice as much for the suit. I've read mixed feelings from the posts. And I've known a few freeflyers who have purchased Kurupee suits. I have yet to hear anything more than a lose thread problem after several jumps. Never an "off-measurement" issue like the one on here; that sounds more like an ordering mistake. You just have to be careful when measuring a FULL-SUIT. I have purchased about 7-jumpsuits since beginning skydiving. Only one suit was 100% to my liking - and it fell apart, at the knee, within 1 1/2 seasons. The thing with suit companies is ... As long as you are descriptive with your requests, they will pretty much give you what you want. The reps at Kurupee say the same thing. If you speak with them on the phone, they are more willing to be creative and unique with your design unlike some other companies I have dealt with. This is good enough for me because I like to stand out a bit with my gear. My team is purchasing our 2nd set of Kurupee's right now and we have nothing but good things to say about the look, quality, and customer service. When I get mine, I will post pics and give an update on how it coms out.

I posted this in the "poll" one also... I am a guy...and I have no clue whether or not a woman has faked it with me. I will say that I doubt it has happened within the past few years. My belief is that when it comes to sexuality, experience is everything. My hope is that most women stop faking it by the time their 30's come around. Because ladies, your man (unless he doesn't care about the physical you or isn't too bright) will know that it will be fake. You can feel it happening in more ways than one (usually) for crying out loud. At least for me it has become fairly obvious what is happening. Thank god we have these indications to gauge things. In my opinion, this would be a difficult performance to lip-sinc.

I would still argue that we are the minority in that case. There are much more millions of bowling type people in America than the kind that jump out of airplanes. Unfortunately.

And Jim, that is only if you are renting it: I would argure that, regardless of wearing a rig or not, that YOUR rig is ALWAYS your responsibility. Whether it is getting packed, in your car, on your back, in the closet, whatever!!!

If he had only greased it up and spiked it - JUST FOR ONE NIGHT. We could have done a MOSH pit under the DZ tent.
