I once looked around for skydiving jokes to put in a collection. It was going to be for our club which consists mostly of new and prospective students. I canned the idea because every skydiving joke in existence basically says, "we're all broke and we die a lot." I'm not sure that's the best angle...

With a little practice you can count to 1023 on your fingers. In the Nawth we have AP classes for that kind of situation. I was definitely not out of stuff to learn in 12th grade... ...wait, maybe that means I'm not one of the smarter ones.

someone a couple 4th of julys ago from my school got drunk, wrapped about 300 bottle rockets with paper towels, bound the whole thing with string, lit the whole thing on fire and threw it onto a busy street... ...no on was injured, thankfully.

...and you'll probably find that (at least at the moment) 512mb "secure digital" cards cost more than twice what the 256mb versions do. so if you don't mind carrying a couple with you it could be more economical that way as well.

"dorks" are just people that really love something a lot. You can be a "math dork", a "car dork", a "sports dork", or a "skydiving dork" just the same. It's the people that you couldn't tell love anything that aren't dorks... they're losers. -
You could still use a time-out. You could set your break altitude to wherever you want to break, track/slow down/etc for 5 seconds (or however long the size of the group you're in warrants) then pull. Use the second 2500' tone as your hard deck. If you want to get picky about setting altitudes you're going to need a dytter/protrack/skytronicFX Standard issue warning: don't get too reliant on an electronic conductor to lead the orchestra at the end of your skydive.

they appear to be in some kind of valley in the desert, so the air currents and thermals could greatly disturb the plasma and affect where the arc travels. But yeah, this isn't something I'd expect to see every day.
